I fish from my kayak far more than anything else. This net not only folds to make it smaller, but it floats! Any kayak fisherman will tell you that we spend a lot of time making things float that aren't originally designed to float. Having a net like this is a gift!

I purchased this net and three others for my grandchildren, who are new to fishing. Guessing that the possibility of one of them dropping the net in the river is pretty good a floating net made the most sense. Also the net is light weight so they shouldn't have any trouble toting it. Likewise as they're pretty young being sturdy doesn't hurt too.

The foam handle extends to give you a reach of approximately 16" to 23". The rubberized texture is good for 'slimier' fish, like carp, catfish, and trout. The included clip and carabiner is an added bonus!
The only problem is the pin. It slips in and out... thus, allowing the net to fall out. Obviously, this only happens now and again... but you certainly wouldn't want this to happen while netting your big one!! So, I needed to replace the pin to something sturdier.

It seems to be well made and the handle folds down in easy push of the latch. Basket is made of rubber so shouldn’t get snagged to much on hooks or brush while moving around on streams

This is my first fishing net I’ve purchased in 20 years and like most things the technology has significantly changed. The bet is made of some space aged rubbery type stuff which seems pretty cool, I just wish it extended another foot.

I went with the olive green one because it matched my boat. It works fine however it could be better by making the net lock in place when folded. It currently swings around when folded, but for the price it’s better than some of the other nets that I looked at. I do like that you can open it with 1 hand, comes in handy when fighting a fish with the other.

Lightweight and easy to carry to and from one place to another. The rubber boarder keeps it afloat, and it’s so lightweight that it’s not very likely to sink and be lost. I like everything about this net. It’s great for lakes (small fish and tadpoles) and even just sitting on the pier catching minnows. Much better quality than I had expected...definitely recommend.
