What size does a novice recommend? Do they have tutorials?

Answer: I recommend you pic a size that the wieght is easy to lift. Also it comes with a website info to show you how to throw it

Answer: This is the perfect one to buy easy for the beginner to throw! The others without the ring are really hard to throw . I suggest the 4 ft one or even the 3 foot one( Wich is actually 8 an 6 ft.) You have to look on line for instructions how th throw but after a couple of throws with this one you will be a pro!

Answer: This is one of the best networks I have used in three years, it uses better sediment, and a long enough hand rope. And they come with patching spares, I would recommend it

Answer: It won't rust, and the fishing net uses lead sediment, so even if I use it in sea water, I won't worry about it rusting, and sinking faster than other material deposits.

Answer: Nope not on this one, they make a separate model without the ring that I like a lot more I own both. Same company Nicley made for the most part

Answer: I use this in saltwater, with the frisbee it is so much easier to throw than a cast net without the frisbee . It works well

I got this because my net-casting skills didn't seem to be too great (no matter how many videos I watched) and I thought this might be a nice shortcut. It still took me some practice to learn the best way to throw it. And of course, it will catch shrimp/crabs/fish/etc. But the diameters are small, so you're not catching so much. Felt like I was casting twice as much (at least) to get the same haul. And all that woulda been fine, except that one night, after I'd used it for probably a dozen or so casting sessions, the aluminum ring just completely ripped out. The net got a little caught up on something, and by the time I was able to retrieve it, the main net was undamaged, but the aluminum ring was gone.

Mang : Works 30% at times.

The idea is just theoretical. The practice is hard to execute consistently all the time. Too many things can go wrong. Tether lines can tangle and wrap around the Frisby. My recommendation is if you want easy spread don't waste your time and money on these aluminum rings. I like the floating plastic disc better. I can get 99% of throw open in circle.

CAST NET SEEMED FINE AT FIRST, BUT UPON USING IT ONE TIME, THE CENTERPIECE THREADING THE TIE-LINES TO THE PULL ROPE, FELL APART IN 3 PIECES. I'VE TRIED TO SNAP IT BACK TOGETHER, BUT IT WON'T HOLD. :-(

Great cast net. Easy to use. One handed throw with pin point accuracy. I can cast 3 or 4 times one handed before a regular cast net gets one single throw in. Only draw back which is my fault I should have bought a larger one but this net is still great for bait fish but a bigger one needed to target prawns.

DS : Works like described

Took some tries to get the toss down just right but once you know how it works perfect each toss. Much easier than the standard cast net. The 8' diameter plenty wide enough to get a good catch. Easy to store and set up to toss. Not much tangling like with regular nets. Watch the video or search for video to show how. It helps to get toss down correctly .

Just the opposite opinion from some,the 5 foot drags ground and difficult to throw long distance great off of bridge, wall or when throwing down hill. But wish I had got the 4 foot net It does open well but get to many Gill catchs
