Does the clamp come with the scale

Answer: Yes, my husband bought this cuz he likes to know the weight of the fish he catches but he likes to live release. Clamp grabs the fish's lip and he can still live release it unlike other scales that hooks the gills and instantly makes the fish non releasable.

Answer: Yes, it comes all that is shown. You have to put the measuring tape on the clip when you get it tho. You can take it on and off which is nice.

Answer: This is what it says online - Weigh a fish by placing the scale hook under the gill plate of the fish. Make sure the fish is hanging without any support and wait for the reading to appear.

Answer: It is designed to go under the gill and then thru the mouth. So it should not harm any fish.

Answer: This won’t hurt the fish, just wait till the fish calms down and clamp it on. It’s no different than you holding it by the lip.

Answer: It might a smaller fish but the nice thing is you can weigh the net and the fish by pre-setting the net weight. That way you never have to touch the fish.

This scale is hardly accurate. It likes to switch between KG and LB whenever it wants, and the hold will randomly kick on, before the fish is even on there, so you have to take it off re-zero and hope it doesn’t happen again. Don’t waste your money. Get a slightly more expensive and reliable one.

The case is cheap brittle feeling plastic so durability is a concern, but I don't expect to abuse it and the $19 I paid reflects the lower quality of the case. The weight appears to be correct to the little dumbell I weighed, and the cheap little tape measure is correct and convenient to weigh and measure the fish
I am satisfied, but will be keeping it in a freezer bag to protect it until use.

Junk. I caught a fish and the scale said 4lbs. 2 other scales weighed the fish in at 7lbs. Compared it with known weight and the scales accuracy fails miserably. Dont waste your money

Got this product and tried turning it on. All it would do is show 88 88 then Lo and shut off. So i went and bought new batteries for it and still the exact thing. 88 88, Lo and shuts off. Going to call Berkley tomorrow and see if they can help. If not ill be shipping it back and buying a Rapala

I caught a nice bass and I tried using this scale to weigh it. The numbers kept reading negative numbers and I eventually had to release the fish without knowing its weight. I later turned it on and off again a few times before it started working. Even then, it seems inaccurate. I weighed a 5 pound weight with the scale and it was off by about 5 ounces. The measuring tape it comes with is garbage. Once it comes out it's difficult to retract.

All in all, this is pretty disappointing product. Returns are a hassle so I'll just make sure to add 5 ounces anytime I use it.

I found this scale very accurate and easy to read. However, I have to pinch the battery cover in to make the scale work. I don’t think that battery is touching the metal pieces that provide power to the scale. I don’t know if this is fixable but I’m very unhappy. Not the best when trying to measure a fish.

Had one like it before with a hook. It was great. Then I got this one with the clip. Complete junk. I had to cut off the clip and make my own hook. I was dropping too many big trout with that stupid clip.

Never got to use it. Put it in the boat, finally had a good weekend we could go. Went to use it, showed "Lo", would shut off. Assumed batteries were dead. Got new batteries, turns on and says "Lo". Disappointing. Never had a chance to use and past the return date.
