Answer: It is a perfect sized reel for bluegill, and crappie. Paired with a sensitive rod will work great.

Hi, can I use in saltwater?

Answer: You can, but I personally would not. I don't think it has sealed bearings. I would spend the extra money and get a Penn Spinfisher V for salt water.

Answer: It’s not sealed like a salt reel but if you clean and oil it on a regular basis it should be fine.

Fish Fry Dude : THIS THING IS SICK

I paired this puppy up with my St. Croix premier series 6'6'' ultralight with 4 pound spider wire mono and oh my word this thing can smoke some pan fish. As the reel goes, the drag is amazing and doesn't slip when your going to make that hook set. Also, this thing can handle bigger fish, I caught a three pound small mouth on it and it worked great! Definitely recommend.
