D Velasquez : Smooth and sturdy baitcaster

As an avid angler and overall fishing aficionado, I decided to order this Quantum Invade Baitcast Fishing Reel when I saw it became available. What drew me in initially was the eye-catching sleek design with matte-finish in dark gray and red colors. This reel looks beautiful and is perfect for my needs, as I most often target bass and large trout, but also sometimes go after spring or summer chinook and sockeye salmon runs. I am happy to say that this reel can withstand the immense power and heft of a salmon.

I outfitted my reel as follows: Monofilament backing (20lb test), followed by braid main line (20lb test), and a fluorocarbon leader (15lb test). Of course, I adjust the thickness and size of the leader depending on the condition and the fish I target. The reel is quite user friendly and I have not had bird nest due to backlash yet. Overall, this is the perfect entry-level baitcaster reel that works smooth but has enough power to handle big fish. Recommended!

My teenage son loves to fish and has a few rods and reels he uses. He's been messing with this one for a while and says he likes it. He said he can tell that this reel isn't top of the line, but that it gets the job done fine. It's a nice entry-level bait caster. If you've not owned one of these, research it a bit before you buy it. They're maybe not the best for younger kids.

⦁➽ I saw this Quantum Invade Bait-cast Fishing Reel, I placed an
order and I figured I would give it a try since I haven't been fishing
in a long time.. Things tend get damaged, misplaced and after a
few moves and a forgetful memory, or my gear just simply needed
updating. It arrived at my door step in a few days and was damage
free.

⦁➽ Wow.!! Things sure have changed a lot over the years, this
Bait-cast reel, looks fantastic and is incredible, as well as one of
the nicest and smoothest reel I have ever owned. It is very well
made indeed and has a decent feature list. Plus It is really just
straight up, gorgeous!

⦁ I really can't describe on how well it works or if there are any
issues with it just yet, because of lock-down I haven't gotten to
try it out Yet. When I can I'll give it a spin. I am very much looking
forward to trying it out, as soon as possible...

Gerald Bertram : Wow. This thing is nice

I recently was gifted a small bait cast rod so I wanted to find a little reel to go along with it. Since the rod was made by Quantum I figured I might as well get a Quantum reel as well.

One of the first things I do when I am checking out a reel is is ty try to wheel backwards and see how the clutch & bearings are. Reels of dubious quality will have a little play when you start to reel backwards. This was NOT the case with this reel! The clutch engages instantly! I mean INSTANTLY! There isn't so much as a millimeter in play with the clutch.

The build quality is also great. It's mostly made from graphite with a few metal materials here and there. This makes this reel very lightweight but not overly so if that makes sense. It's light but doesn't have the super light feel normally associated with cheap gear. This thing feel top notch.

The knobs on the handle are oversized and feel fantastic in my large hands and the 6.1:1 gear ratio feels pretty much perfect to me.

Not much else to say here. It looks fantastic, feels fantastic and works fantastic. Very very happy with this high quality reel.

Yoda OK : Smooth working reel

I got this for my son who is just starting to show interest in fishing in his late teen years. I wanted to get him a good reel, but didn't want to spend the big dollars for the decent ones. This reel is really nice. It works smoothly. It is a great reel for him to start with so he won't get too frustrated with a reel that doesn't work properly. I would put it up there with some of the pricier reels for function. Overall a nice reel that should keep him fishing for years to come.

I see how this reel seems to be the perfect fit for someone looking for an entry level baitcaster...
After spending a few weekends with this reel, I would highly recommend spending just a bit more on a-

Abu Garcia Max-X / Daiwa Fuego / Shimano SLX

I promise you will have much more fun on the water learning with any of these.

The Invade isn't terrible... But it is lacking some quality and refinement impacts its performance.
