Which plastic do you burn through the fastest and how many bags of them have you gone through?
Kalin's grubs. I have gone through a lot.
Trick worms. Since I hoard these things I don't eveb know how many I have gone thru, but probably about 3-4 bags.
-gk
probably trick worms as well, I use about 6-7 bags a year.
Senko's and chigger craws.
Besides the obvious senkos and kuttail worms I wont go there with the durability issues because I love them!
Otherwise It would be paca craws. Killer bait and I feel like I can catch fish anywhere on them. I can get 6-7 fish off of one but not always. Couldn't tell you why but on SOME DAYS the fish will rip the dam claws off on every single bite rendering it useless! Just the way they are hitting it,probably schooling fish. Been known to go through 2 bags easy in a day of leisure fishing.Won't stop me from using them.If the claws weren't made that way the bait would not have the killer action to it.
Powerworms and Zoom Lizards
Senkos.............alot of them, next would probably be Beavers.
I used to have to replace senkos, beavers and brushhogs like crazy. I was spending at least $20 a week on new senkos alone. Then I found Mend It. I keep all of my ripped up baits and fix them when I get home. I have save a ton of $$$.
Senkos as well. Haven't tried the mend-it. I will have to, because I can go thru two bags a day at times.
zooms as well here...
Yum ribbontail - Tequila sunrise - 3 or 4 packs*
Zoom SS U-Tail - Motor oil - 3 or 4 packs*
*Per Season
Rage Craws.... Only because I throw them year 'round. They go on jigs too, so that basically kills them quicker.
Curly tail grubs. I catch quite a few bass with them and they get chewed up quite a bit.
I go through several bags of strike king rage hawgs in the spring (bama bug) and then lots of berkley powerworms in the summer(motoroil, watermelon, black).
Culprit 7-1/2" ribbontail worms in tequila sunrise and various other shades of purple. I probably go through 3 or 4 bags a year. A close second would be 4" black curly tail grubs.
Tom
About 40 bags of Zoom finesse worms a year.
Yamamoto 5" Craws - I go through 1-2 bags per week throughout the summer, and about 2 bags a month during the school year as I don't fish as much due to classes. I tip my finesse jigs with these and fish em real slow.
I keep it on the DL though. Most of the guys I fish with still think I catch most of my fish on rage and paca chunks. They also still think I fish my jigs fast.
Zoom trick worms and uv speed craws, 6-7 bags a year each.
Senkos and Paca Chunks.
Trickworms and Rage Chunks.
My most used plastics are 5" single-tail grubs - Zoom and Gander Mountain brands. How many bags?....Enough to catch 791 fish on them in 2010...
Zoom Brush hogs, Skinny Dipper
Give the Moaner Hooks a try and you will extend the life
of all soft plastics at least 100%. I had a day last summer
when I caught over 40 bass on a single Rage Tail 7" Thumper!
8-)
I keep and endless supply of yamamoto single and twin tail 5" grubs and 4" twin tail grubs as trailers for my jigs i throw there so many color that you can match with today skirting material colors are endless.
Trick worms and Baby Brush Hogs.
Gene Larew 7 1/2" Salty Ringworm in Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage).
I have no idea how many, some days I go through 2or 3 20 count bags a day & days ½ a bag is too many.
I order a bulk 100 count bag every 3 months but some months I'll have to stop by Ann's Tackle Shop in Jasper, TX.
Wright Bait Company Salty Slugs
Senkos
Rage Tail Space Monkeys
brush hogs for me
A couple of hundred tubes per year. I fish them in rocks and never go after one that is hung up. For that reason I have bought some molds and now make my own.
On an average day in the summer I'll go through at least one bag of trick worms.(watermelon w/red fleck) usually I will switch colors when I run out and keep on catching them. Went through 3 full bags one day. (100 fish day)
Trick worm. Good thing they come in 20 packs!
cut tails as of lately. earlier this year , it was trick sticks.
I went through a lot of my buddy's senko style worms. Those go real quick though. I also went through a lot of 10" worms and crazy legged chigger craws. I use both those by themselves and on jigs though...and i pitch jigs a lot. Anything i put on a jig usually goes quick.
QuoteGive the Moaner Hooks a try and you will extend the lifeof all soft plastics at least 100%. I had a day last summer

What are moaner hooks? I've never heard of those.
I burn through so many senkos, but I won't give them up. They catch me most of my fish.
Its hard to say really. In the winter time its Yamamoto twin tails and Zipper Hand Pours Pudge Worm. Spring would be the Brush Hog, and summer and fall the Double Wide Beaver.
Anything by Zoom.
Senko (and knockoffs), brush hogs, and rage tail craws, lobsters, and chunks...
QuoteA couple of hundred tubes per year. I fish them in rocks and never go after one that is hung up. For that reason I have bought some molds and now make my own.
Do you fish them almost exclusively, if so why?
Zoom 7.5 " june bug colored lizards.
Any zoom plastic cause they catch fish but tear up after 2 or 3 fish. Mainly what I use are baby brush hogs, shakey heads, and dead ringers. I burn through senkos as well.
I change lures depending on season so I may go through bags of lures a day in the spring, and never go through a single additional bag the rest of the year, but here is what I replace most when it comes time to replace
Horny Toads (Spring, multiple bags a week)
Fat Albert Grubs (Spring, Can be a bag a day)
Zoom Ol' Monsters (Year Round, avg a bag every 2 weeks)
Berkely 10' powerworm(Year Round, avg a bag every 2 weeks
ZOOM Swimming Flukes w/ Paddletail (Bag every 2-3 hours because of inserting weighted hooks)
Kreatures and Rage Chunks
In the summer at least a pack a day for each...
At least 20 packs of Paca's and Finesse worms a year.
QuoteRage Craws.... Only because I throw them year 'round. They go on jigs too, so that basically kills them quicker.
X2
Trick worms, BPS stik-O, Yum Wooley bugs, Zoom brush hogs, Strike King Flip-N-tubes, Yum craw Papi.
Probably Zoom Super Chunk and Large Salty Chunks. I am always pulling them off on cover.
zoom u-tail watermelon seed & red shad
7" powerworm camo
zoom finesse green pumpkin magic
zoom trick worm watermelon magic
First place would probably go to Chigger Craws. Those darn pincers get ripped off so quickly. Second place would have to be Brush Hogs-although with a little work, I can get them to last a little longer. I also go through a lot of stick baits too.
I can burn through some chigger craws myself. And paca chunks. In the spring and early summer though, 10 or more packs of flukes go through the boat quickly.
Zoom trick worms- motor oil or junebug
Zoom baby brush hogs- june bug
Zoom lizards- june bug
Zoom ol monster- Blueberry!!!
I love zoom plastics!!
Senkos by far. 12 inch Culprits second. Thank the Lord for Mendi-it!
baby brush hogs and ribbon tail worms.
5 inch yamamoto hula grubs, cant have enough
4", 5", and 6" Yamamoto Hula Grubs. I always have a football jig tied on. I go through at least 50 bags a season, so I am going to start making my own. They don't give them away and the price sure adds up.
6"roboworm straight tail.Went through about 25 bags last year.Luckily the tackle store down the road had them for $2.50 a bag.Well had them for that.Think I got most of them. ;D.
I dont know how many bags I go through a year, but i'm always buying Zoom Flukes. Love'm
Baby brush hogs and lizards
Went through 8 packages of Rage Space Monekey's last year. Caught a lot of fish on them though.
White flukes and netbait paca chunks... Seems like whenever I buy a package; they are gone quick.
Roboworm and Berkley PB Hand poured finesse. Both catch the heck out of fish but don't last very well.
Without a doubt I use tubes the most. I go through roughly 3-4 100 packs of Mizmos a year.
Horny Toads and Skinny Dippers. At least 50 bags/year.
Zoom finesse worms.
