Haha thank you, ive been on here a while but never posted. Also havent been in VA Beach for about 5 months, d**n deployment, cant wait to get back and fish though.
So far it has been a jig, pop-r, and a Mann's 1 minus. I have gotten some bass on t-rigged plastics, but it just seems that the bass want something moving.

Just curious, what hook do you use for the rage craws dropshotted? I have been using them all summer and love them like crazy, but I seem to lose more fish with them than normal, even setting the hook hard with a standard texas rig and a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG or other hooks. Are you getting a good hookup ratio?

When I'm fishing deep in no or very light (just on the bottom) type cover, which is how I usually fish it - especially for SMB, I use spinning gear and a standard 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG on the Rage Craw - on 10 lb braid & an 8lb sometimes 10lb Big Game Mono leader (green). They usually choke it pretty good, especially when it's all slathered up with Megastriike or the claws are dipped in spike-It garlic. Either way, I don't have any trouble hooking fish and consider the rig as fool proof as any I fish - a real producer; particularly when the fish are in deep clear water.
When fishing it in denser (but not massive cover) I'll beef up the whole rig. Casting gear - 30 lb braid, a 15 lb mono leader (or none at all). Then the plastic goes on a 3/0 Owner Wide Gap Plus EWG hook. A super strong, very sharp, superbly designed, Gaff of a hook.
Can you tell I like that one ?
Hope that helps
A-Jay
