Like threads with pics .. So let's see your hardbbaits ... Can be rare .. Or your lot .. Or just gets bit ..
G2 just gets bit .. Pics of small lot later
This is what I've picked up over the winter. I have a 2nd Shimano box full of jerkbaits, and two more Planos full of flat sides, square bills, and more traps.
Took this pic of the ones i keep in the boat.
Not really "rare," but old school and somewhat expensive. Some of my Bagley Diving Bs, the large majority of which are older brass wire/lead tuning bill lures.

This one falls into the "just gets bit" category. I'm pretty sure this is the single hard bait that I've caught the most fish on, ever. Still have it, still going strong and catching more fish. I didn't do the best job of showing all the teeth marks that are actually on this bait but you still get the general idea.
Not many rare ones in this box but I have a few more boxes besides the ones in the pic. I'll try to get some pics up soon.
I have 2, a pre Rapala wiggle wart in a weird brown/green/red color and a 90's #200 bandit in almost the same color (little less red) I only fish them when I know I won't snag, but they are my all time "catcher cranks"
I never new that. Good thing I never hold them like that.On 2/27/2015 at 6:29 AM, rippin-lips said:
These are more sentimental than anything.
Upper left: first balsa bait, purchased in '81.
lower left and upper right: baits given to me by the two guys that Introduced me to bass fishing.
lower right: A crankbait that caught me 7 bass on It's very first trip. It was also given to me by one of the two guys that started me In bass fishing. I fished with It for several more years and one day thought about the history and never got It wet again. It proudly hangs In the fishing closet.

I want those dang boxes!
What box is that?
They are discontinued Shimano boxes. They normally sell for around $25-50 each.On 2/28/2015 at 11:53 AM, plumworm said:What box is that?

Few on ebay... steep prices, but such an awesome box.

I have 19 more straight eyes on the way from Japan.
Is that over kill or sin full? That collection of jerks would feed a family for a year. LOL.
Judas! I thought my lucky craft collection was solid lol
nice collection!
Outside of the eyes, price, and years of production, are there any other differences among the standard and straight eye 110s?
The rattles are different and the old ones were built under pressure and are supposed to be a lot more durable. On 3/6/2015 at 1:15 PM, kickerfish1 said:Outside of the eyes, price, and years of production, are there any other differences among the standard and straight eye 110s?
I personaly think they are like pre raps and are a lot of hype. Both catch fish but some of the old ones sell for crazy money.
I'm looking for a Pro Blue to add to my collection. The last one I bid on sold for $225.

I have one in my retirement portfolio it is a 2001 or 2002? It is in my stash of collectable baits that includes a 110 in Deadly Black and a Ichiban Balsa Pro minnow.

I want the top one right side. (where they are put in twos.) Lol
That's a wee sized perch. I've got 4 of them in the standard size (see middle). Interesting to see the different shades of those 4.
I'll trade you 2 more deadly blacks for it?On 3/7/2015 at 12:51 AM, Munkin said:I have one in my retirement portfolio it is a 2001 or 2002? It is in my stash of collectable baits that includes a 110 in Deadly Black and a Ichiban Balsa Pro minnow.

love the vintage stuff, nice bagleys and great condition, do you fish it still? I get scared using my older stuff, especially the original molds of bagley's balsa, new one's not in same league.

Those things fetch a few hundred dollars if Minn and not Finland, not sure why some are more, I am not good enough with cranks to know the difference between older warts and newer ones, but if they are like the older whopper stopper and bagley's then I get it for sure...Same with older rogues. How deep do warts run, 4-8???? If so not sure why I don't throw them, or is it 17' then I know why I never open them. Thanks. Awesome collection, vintage is the best, can'r replace em.

I wont use the bagleys. I wouldnt think twice about using those Natural Ikes . Its just that I never caught much off the Ikes. Theres a Rebel natural bass in there too, that I like .
A few from my grandfather that I've got on display....there's a few more around here somewhere...guess I need to get a bigger cabinet.

May I ask what color the 3rd from the bottom is on the left side? Might be pro blue but it looks very light? Thanks in advance. Great box of baits to get bit on!

People use treble guards? Fish take the paint of all the lures anyway, I jam as much into a box as I can and I could care less about scratching. I hate tangles, but I have rubber bands on some, but usually I only clean them end of year or few times, but I only use 5% of what I carry anyhow, keep them aside and the rest is just in case.....
My best lures don't have paint left except for the times I use my sharpie on the water, I use my sharpie on new lures, need some chartreuse on my new silver and blue rattle trap, boom, need black at night after losing my Sammy? I decided to take the yellow one that is probably rare and a collector item since I have never thrown it and it is when first came out, but now it is all black from my sharpie...Works great, well, half black, yellow, and white undercoating now.
Well Primetime , To Answer Your Question , I Could Care Less About My Baits Getting Scratched Up As I Fish Them , I Use Treble Guards , Because I Hate Tangles and It Fits My Way To Organize My Baits.

I caught hundreds of fish with this lure. I use it in lakes, rivers, ocean. It's called fakebait made by Maria Japan and is quite difficult to find.
Now thats a gnawed up lure . ^ ^
Very nice hardbait collection "Ok Bass Hunter"! I have many of the same baits and even in those colors.

That spro mini shad, have you had much luck with it? Also, baitcaster or spinning tackle?
At the pond I've fished I had quite a few go after it. I've usually had bites on the floater in low light conditions.
Most of these are out of my Dad's tacklebox.
Forgot to attach the pic!
I don't have the luxury of taking 47 boxes of hard baits with me (like some of y'all do haha) on my fishing trips so I put all the lures and tackle I use the most in three boxes... Haha pretty much crammed as much as I could fit

Very nice collection. How do you which ones are worth more than others is there a megabass jerkbait collection handbook.
The straight eyes are by far worth the most, some are worth more than others and it obviously depends on how much someone wants one. Pro Blue is at the top of the list at $200+ but Deadly Black will easily fetch $60-75 used.

That trout almost looks like a swimbait!
A few more came today including a Monster Jack that matches my It Jack.
Wow ...
Kind of embarrassing how well stored many of you have your baits, I hesitate to post my boxes. So I'll post my multiples boxes that I don't carry.

They look good to me?
These baits were a great find for me. While yes they are only raps, the foil on them is much brighter than what is currently offered. Work great in clear water for me.
I'm calling this ~ The Toad Locator Collection.
For reference, the bait at the top right is a 10XD.

We have Pro Blue!!!!!
The blues are the most expensive baits I've ever bought. They are insanely hard to find.
