fishing user avatarspinnerbaitalways reply :

As far as plastics go what color do you have the most confidence in. The One color or colors you won't go fishing without ? Mine is watermelon with red flake & junebug.

fishing user avatarFishingMastah1 reply :

Mine is watermelon seed, on a zoom horny toad or fluke.

fishing user avatarspinnerbaitalways reply :

What color or colors of plastics you won't leave home without!!! Mine are watermelon with red flake and junebug and red shad.

fishing user avatarwhitwolf reply :

It really depends on whether It's day or night.

Here's a few though: Watermelon/red, black, red/shad, smoke,(with some kind of flake) white/shad, and black /red flake.

fishing user avatarAK-Jax86 reply :

Watermelon red flake and june bug/ black with blue flake (senkos only though)

fishing user avatarBrian6428 reply :

Watermelon Candy or Black/Blue

fishing user avatarJrob78 reply :

fishing user avatarLMB ANGLER reply :

black and junebug

fishing user avatarMike2841 reply :

I don't know the exact name but it's a neon green and yellow laminate senko

fishing user avatarMarty reply :

I used to carry two colors, black and pumpkinseed. But over the years I've seen what my partners do and I've tried other colors as well. My feeling is that watermelon, green pumpkin, junebug and numerous other colors work just as well. I could be 100% wrong, but I just don't have color at the top of my priority list. It's extremely important for others though. Like so many other things, go with what you have confidence in.

fishing user avatarSnakehead Whisperer reply :

I'm with whitwolf, it really depends on the situation.

This year I have had a lot of confidence fishing Houdini colored plastics. Others would be black, smoke, watermelon, orange and chartreuse. Keep in mind that these are mostly colors of grubs that I jig fish for smallies, or ds worms.

The most versatile soft plastic color that I've ever fished for LMB would be a tie between blue w/metallic fleck and red/motor oil/brown. These colors seem to produce under a vast array of conditions.

fishing user avatarMacP reply :

Zoom - Watermelon Red Flake, California 420, Green Pumpkin, Red Bug, Albino, June Bug - (Maybe Blueberry too)

Roboworm - Aaron's Magic, Bold Bluegill, SXE Shad, Warmouth

Reaction Innovations - Green Pumpkin, Penetration, Dirty Sanchez

Senko - Watermelon, Green Pumpkin Blk Flake, MotorOil Red Flake

I fish other brands and but not as much as these guys.  (Culprit, Berkley Worms and Berkley and Big Bite Baits trailers,  Yum dingers and crawbugs)  I generally stick with green pumpkin, watermelon, june bug and black and blues.  There are some I've had success with like green pumpkin blueflash and tequila sunrise type colors that work too.

Motor Oil and Pumpkins and Cinammons are good colors too, I just don't use them much.

fishing user avatarTrippyJai reply :

If I had to only choose only one colour, it would be Green Pumpkin. It works great in clear to stained water and if I fish dirtier water then I'll just choose a bait that puts off more vibration like a rage craw.

For jigs, I wouldn't mind buying only black and blue.

fishing user avatarCatt reply :

Cinnamon Pepper Neon Junebug Laminated ;)

fishing user avatarGeorgiaBassBros reply :

watermelon red, green pumpkin orange/magic and tequila sunrise. I can count on the colors in any bait or situation

fishing user avatarMcKinneyLonghorn reply :

fishing user avatarA-Jay reply :

It's interesting reading the different preferences that each member has.

I'm all about Green Pumpkin & Straight Black.

They have proven themselves to me Time & Time again.

Though it's hard to do, but when the bite is on is when I like to try "new" colors.

And there have been times where I've switched off to something else as it seems to be the preference at that time.

But when the bite is tough, I'm fishing new water or even looking for a big bite, more often than not, it's got to be Green Pumpkin or Straight Black.

They make other colors besides green pumkin? I have fished in 8 different states across the US and it has worked everywhere. The only place that GP did not work was a small pond on FT Leonard Wood, MO where the Army practiced building floating bridges.
