I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE FAVORITE TRAP IS?? ALSO DO YOU LIKE THE BABY RATTLER KIND TRAPS, OT THE ONE KNOCKER TYPE TRAPS
Berkley warpig
I've always had the best luck on the original!!! Chrome with blue back! And yeah one knockers work well!
Love xcalibur Xr50 in red craw pattern
I have a stash of discontinued Xcalibur One Knockers and they are big fish slayers. That said, I find that there is reason to have several different brands and types to cover a lot of situations. Right now I'm really liking the Bagley Rattlin' B Minus, it is a slow sinker for shallow water, as the grass started coming up it has been a real player.

The B minus is my #2. Only because the Berkley comes with great hardware.
WHY ARE WE YELLING???
The original... Bill Lewis.
RES both the 1/2 and 1/4 ounce have worked well for me, even for seriously weather jacked fish.
I'm speculating you want to know what our favorite lipless baits are . Mine is the Red Eye Shad simply because I like the way it falls . My favorite one is a silent bait with a loose weight making it a quiet version of a one knocker but I like them all .
red eye shad as well as the xcalibur one knocker
RES 1/2 & 1/4 and Spro Aruku Shad & Aruku Shad Jr.
The best Rattle Trap?...Well, wouldn't that be the Rattle Trap?
If you asked for the best lipless crankbait, then look no futher than Rapala Rippin Rap.
LC LV 500.
RES and 2 Tap, Berkley Warpig, Excalibur and now Booyah one knocker.
1971 ford ranch wagon
I usually only throw a trap in spring and fall and will only throw the original Bill Lewis in red craw.
chrome blueback original.

This......
the original chrome blue back rat-l-trap is the one I've caught the most bass with.
I got like 10 warpigs in march, the midnight pearl, cream pie, and chameleon pearl have done the best. Still haven't caught one on the gilly color, I dont think smallmouth eat many bluegill. Largemouth are sort of sparse in the rivers I fish, after the spawn I dont run into very many of them. Closest lake is full of stunted 8 inch largemouth, I dont fish there very often once the stocked trout are mostly gone.

I wouldn't disagree with this but I would also throw in this one....
This one......
this one......
and finally this one....blue or black back...makes no difference to me.....
I've got others in all colors, brands and sizes but 99.99% these are what I throw.
@Jaderose most productive over the years!

Gold/Black Back/Orange BellyClick
ooooohhhhh. Me likey
Have caught more bass with Rapala Rattlin' Rapalas than any other lipless crankbait. That's my mileage...
This covers it for me - my PB came on a 3/4 SK Red Eye Shad in Sexy Shad.
So there's my vote.
The 1/2 model (various colors) may see more in the water time throughout the year than any bait I throw.

RT820. Is this the one you caught your PB on?
This is my favorite lipless bait . The silent model that ticks like a one knocker .

Original Bill Lewis, Red Eye Shad, Xcal XRK50 and LC LV500.
@Comfortably Numb, did you custom finish those?
Yes. I think I have a tutorial in Luremaking section
Thanks. I just took a look. I guess I missed the latest on that. Great stuff!

DEPENDS ON THE TIME OF YEAR AND WHERE i'M FISHING, BUT THESE:
SUPER SPOT
SUGAR SHAD
RES
ORIGINAL TRAP
1/2oz Red Eye Shad Silent or Booyah (Xcalibur) One Knocker
SPRO Aruku Shad in Cell Mate color. Stands on it's nose when it falls.

I picked up 2 Rippin Raps tonight to add to my arsenal - Chrome Blue and Helsinki Shad. Going to try these out first thing in the morning
It was the gold/black back until I used a Cordell Super Spot in the same pattern. I can't tell any difference in the action, but the Spot's gold is "golder" and it gets more bites.
I still love the gold Trap and the H2O Express in gold is a pretty good option for half the price, but the finish isn't durable.
Duo Realis G-fix in American shad color in the fall and the original Bill Lewis in blue back, chrome with an orange belly any other time.

Xcalibur XR50 chrome and black one knocker. Best all around lure I've ever used. Now made by Booyah, and chrome and black will be released soon.
Another vote for the RES. I mostly fish small shallow ponds and throw the 1/2 oz, but still throw the 3/4 oz and burn it to keep it from hitting bottom. They kill it.
It depends...I don't have just one.
At the risk of over simplification....
-Mostly straight retrieve...little yo-yo-ing: Bill Lewis
-1/2 oz plus - usually RES, but some Lucky Craft and 1-knockers
-less than 1/2 oz - almost always Lucky Craft -- this is one category where I've found nothing close ....LVR-Mini and LV50 easily outfish any other small lipless that I've tried. (Although, I do have a very old tiny Cotton in a bleeding shad pattern that has some pretty impressive numbers of little smallies and bluegills to its credit.)
-Floaters - Bill Lewis
I've done the best with a red eye shad for largemouth and a rapala rippin rap for smallies. I assume it's like anything you throw, it's all about what you are confident in!
