Is yo-zuri hybrid coming off the market or something? I see cabellas nor bass pro shops has it in stock anymore and *** also has it on clearance...
If this is happening its a sad day for me and fishing alone....I've never fished with a line as strong and as abrasion resistant as this...I also have seen a spike in price and a drop in listing on ebay...I'm sure if you have a Japan connect you can always have it but unfortunately I dont.
Anyone know whats going on?

Noticed it's on clearance at TW, as well. BPS has dropped the amount it carries in-store, and that's over the past couple years by my reckoning.
No idea if it's being discontinued/replaced. Would like to know as well.
I hope it doesn't get discontinued. Awesome fishing line for the price
It's been tough for me to find, my Bps.. Stock slowed down a couple years ago, last fall.. No more at all.
Idk what to think at this point..I still have some, time to place a order I do believe..
The only place I have ever had it in my area is sports authority.
They have it randomly now.
Bps, academy and dicks doesnt have it here.
I order it.
You guys are scaring me. I switched to yozuri so long ago. ...I don't even know what I would switch to if it was gone.

Go to their site, click on "Contact Us" and ask them. http://yo-zuri.com/Products/Yo-Zuri_Fishing_Line/details/Yo-Zuri_Hybrid.html
Not on clearance at TW. Just got 600 yds of 15 lb. at their labor day sale. Price doesn't seem to have changed, at least not that I've noticed.
Google Yo-Zuri Hybrid. Quite a few places still carry it.
Mainly i'm seeing less of the ultra-soft, but a little bit of both, the 12lb ultra soft in clear is my go-to light-medum flipping line
seems the ebay sellers are running very low on stock as well...something is definitely going on
My Memphis BPS has discontinued it.
They have it in my Wal-Mart at least 40 spools from 8 lb to 30 only in clear though

can you buy and ship me some 15lb? and are they the 600yd spools or 275?
I haven't seen their copolymer hybrid in a few years, but their fluoro/nylon and ultra soft are still being carried in the 600yd spools at our local shops. The BPS and Cabela's stopped carrying it over a year ago.

Down here too.
My local Walmart has it but it's expensive compared to eBay.

Not sure if it's clearance, but TW prices are dirt cheap for camo green, smoke and ultra-soft green. Clear looks to be normal price at the moment.
^ yeah but they have next to NO 600yd spools available.
Getting genuinely concerned after poking around a bit. .....
Looks like they have 5+ of every size of clear offered except 15lb, which they have 4. 5+ is I believe the max they list they have in stock for anything. Could be supply and demand. 600 yds clear only $2.00 more than 275 yds. I believe most people choose clear anyway but could be wrong. Looks like the other color prices are listed as SALE prices.Might be moving them in anticipation of a new introduction? Personally I didn't care for the ultrasoft. Used it for cranking and it seemed to break pretty easily. I recall others having the same issue.
Looks like quite a bit left on Ebay.
Anyway, has anyone contacted Yo-Zuri? Go straight to the horses mouth.
Just come to the darkside, and switch to CXX, lol.
I tried CXX this summer and I'm going back to Yo Zuri - seems to have less memory. Also, I have had three separate instances where PLine CXX broke off in the reel after a backlash must have kinked it. Not to say it wouldn't happen with Y, but I never saw the 'creasing' like P-line.
I have not been able to find it anywhere either, just on line. I bought a bunch of it a few years ago and I am still going through it. I think I have 2 600yard spools of 12lb, 2 spools 600 yards 10lb, and 1 spool 600yards of 6lb still left. I picked these up at BPS for $4 each. It's great line and I never have an issue with it. I just prefer regular Fluorocarbon.
CXX or CX ... Is good line too... I got a few thousand yards of it, I wish I could find YO for $4 a spool!
I'm happy I bought a 1lb spool of 10# test (5800 yards) when I found it a year or so ago.
I'll be good for a while. ☺
That was exactly what I was going to say. If Hybrid is no more there still is CXX.On 9/17/2014 at 3:50 AM, J Francho said:Just come to the darkside, and switch to CXX, lol.

look on the auction site. 2,4,6 lb are around $4 for 600 yds.
Just picked up some ultra-soft 6lb for my finesse reel.....this particular seller on eBay had quite a bit.
I only bought it because of the great feedback people gave it, and I need a non-braid line this time for this rig, so I'm giving it a try. I'm usually a CXX guy and I love it, so I'm hoping I'll be wowed.
Yo-zuri does not seem to be ending things as I initially thought. They still feature Hybrid and UltraSoft on their web site. Now this doesn't mean Hybrid isn't ending or getting upgraded, a new formula, whatever.
I also picked some 600 yards of 6lb green Hybrid on eBay with free shipping from a buyer with 100% rating, $10. There was cheaper out there, but this is what I picked.
P-line Floroclear is still a go-to line for me, but I've been back to using Hybrid in 4, 6, and 8 lately. I prefer Floroclear 10# - 15#.
Since it's all leader material for me, 600 yards will last me a looooong time.
I see many sites that have plenty of it.

Personally P-line never will and dosent compare to hybrid, two different levels of quality, I've had the worst experiences with line with P-line than any other ive used. It seemed to just break so easy and the abrasion resistance also sucks
I'm giving McCoy coplolymer a try, Ive heard nothing but good things
Which line, Mike? CXX > Hybrid in break strength per diameter and abrasion resistance. By a long shot. Fluoroclear....meh, not so much. Hybrid > CXX in terms of ease of "handling" and memory.

Fortunately I've had nothing but great experiences with Floroclear. Aware others have not. I probably won't venture far from YZH and Floroclear except for pure fluorocarbon (which I have several spools of - XPS). Have tried other brands of copoly, but keep returning to the aforementioned two. And I've now got a lot more YZH than Floroclear, LOL.
Nooooo!!! Say it isn't sooooo!!!!
Both Yo-Zuri Hybrid and P-line CXX #15 have a .016" diameter. P-Line is approximately 40% stronger
than specified, i.e., #15 = 21 llb breaking strength vs Hybrid #15 = 21.5 or about the same. However,
#12 Hybrid is MUCH more manageable and with a breaking strength of 19.5 lbs, a MUCH better choice.
The only experience I have with floroclear as a mainline is 20# on my Avet mxj for offshore fishing. There is an issue, that being sometimes I have had to tie more than 1 knot as some of the knots have broken. Once I had a good knot I had no problem in landing pelagic fish. The line was not used for a cast and retrieve, but for drifting and light trolling.
I have about 700 yds of it, I'm using the floroclear as bass and inshore leaders attached to my braid, it's working quite well for that.
Loved buying the bulk spools to use as backing. Very disappointing...
