Ok,..hear me out.
This is one of my nieces.
The girl can fish. Age 6. 5 wt fly rod
Stick with me.
This is a picture that shows my old "tuna charm" neclace.
closer
This is made of a chunk of bone carved and polished in the shape of a fish on a hemp choker with a huge snap lock swivel for a clasp in the back.
I fished Cape Cod Bay for 3 yrs, learning, zero-ing, and learning some more,...no tuna for me. Learned a ton and made the connections that eventually had me steering in the right direction. Now all I need was lady luck,...or a little mojo.
A girl I was dating had seen this neclace somewhere and bought it for me just cause it was cool. Called it the "tuna charm,...gonna change the tides"
Guess what.
Tuna for me.
I hit 4 tuna the first week of the season bringing in a respectable 13k+.
Game on
So one day, the tuna charm finally wore through at the clasp and all was lost. I put it away and forgot about it. Well I found it again cleaning out my parents house as they were selling. My niece was with me and I got to tellin' tuna tales. She offered to make me a new choker for it and get it back in service. I went to their house today and it was done.
Awesome, Love it!! Thanks babydoll!! (she will be following this post at home with my sister)
Well, in her spare time, they were shopping at a trinket store (they live on the ocean) and my niece picked up this piece and bought it for uncle Russ. When she got home she built it into a keychain for me.
Now this is what I want to do.
I want to send this to someone on the board and have them take it fishing. (Please be camera ready)
Take it fishing, catch a fish, rub the charm on the fish, take a pic and send it on to the next guy.
In places like Georgia where a group of guys fish locally together, I expect it to move well. If randall and fluke are fishing together, ctach one. Rub and photo and hand it to the other guy in the boat. If you pass Ryan in your travels that night, get it over to his boat and so on. PACK THIS THING!.
Post all pics under this thread.
Send it on to another member. Don't tell anyone where it's going.
I want to send this thing around the country or even the world now that BR is international. Build it full of mojo and we can figure out the best use for it later.
My offering would be to get it to someone who deserves all our mojo. Someone like Clay Dyer. Second isn't good enough for a soul so large,...let's build this thing up to be a mojo bomb that he can take on tour with him next year. He does so much for others, I think it's time a group like ours did somthing for him.Thoughts?

Sounds like a cool idea. I'll sign up for the task. you cant spell MOJO with out the MO in it.
Russ - I think this is a killer idea, and I've seen similar things done on the 4x4 and dragracing boards I frequent. It'd probably be easier If you set up a list in this thread or another one so that people know where the 'mojo charm' is and where it's going.
adam
ps - sign me up, but maybe a few spots down the list, as the boat isn't in the water right now
Well, for those who have seen Friday night lights, theresno better MOJO than My own Odessa Permain Panthers. Mojo Magic.
So, I'd like to have the MOJO Magic in the later part of Sept. for the Big Bass Splash on Lake Fork. If thats enough heads up.
Hookem
Matt
Absolute genious. Does it have to be a big fish?
I'll take it to my hoss lake. Will get a 10 and rub that keychain all over the fish. It will be nice and lunkered up for clay
ok, no list. We will leave list maintenence to the member challenge, lol. Just PM someone for their addy that you think would be up forit. I'm suremany will be and if you can't think of anyone, look here for guys that thought it was a good idea but havn't gotten it yet.
M_Fly- Remember, this is to put mojo INTO, not to use for mojo. Pack it with mojo and send it on. Preferably you can still take it to the Big Bass Splash, just make sure you rub it on the fish that gets you and Willy one of those Tritons!
Rock- Absolutely not but sure wouldn't hurt!
Remember that this stemmed from tuna fishing so specie isn't so important. It could be your daughters bluegill if it adds 1 more person to the pot!
LBH: You have a PM
Whatever you do, keep the thing far away from me, or it'll be ruined forever.
I'm sure a lot of you have read Pat McManus's stories about his legendary powers to repel fish & game - guides run away in fear, tournament directors & anglers pay him to go to another state, etc. Well, I often wonder if ol' Pat and I aren't somehow related. ;D
So keep it away from me, if you value it. To be safe, don't even have it on the same lake I'm on, or you run the definite risk of it transforming from the Mojo Icon to the Magical Skunk Token.
QuoteI hit 4 tuna the first week of the season bringing in a respectable 13k+
Is that what you cashed in on for the fish? Or won in a tourney?
I like it LBH! Send it my way and we'll put some MD magic in it with a Potomac smallie or I'll take it to the farm pond and get "ole cut tail" to give up some of her mojo!
interesting...maybe i should go to the necklace department instead of fishing, next time i'm out
AWSEOME IDEA!!!!!
8-) LBH that's the coolest idea I've ever heard of. I would love the chance to pack that baby with some Mid-West MOJO!!
Sounds like a winner to me Send it on down

Fish are sold at the dock to a "brokerage firm" who then gets it dressed, iced and packed in a coffin. Coffins are loaded on trucks and up to Logan airport (Boston) by 10pm and off to Taiwan or Japan for the early morning auctions. Lots of details in between, different types of deals are made, I had to get burned on the first fish to learn. It was an A- grade, 541lbs dressed. Should have been 7 or 8k alone. I learned fast.
There is a sales ticket framed in the office at the dock in Marschfield Mass. Fish sold for $21,200. Like they say in California,...this ain't tournament fishin',lol!!

Dude,........I have EVERY confidence that this group of people can all but talk the fish into the boat for you! Go to the appropriate forum and tell us exactly what you are doing. Surely, we can re-direct you to go meet some Grit lips in person! A post like that will get special attention,...noone should suffer so.
LBH - what an outstanding idea! Deal me in!
Sweet idea! Add my name to the list I'll throw some mojo on it!
Charles
I'd love to slobber a lil MOJO on it.
WHAT AN AWESOME IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-) 8-)
Bring it to Iowa!!!! I'm in!!
HH
thats a great idea. what i really need to do now is ship a poker chip around the country and get some mojo going on it. that is a good idea and where i really need the luck lol lol
matt
QuoteSurely, we can re-direct you to go meet some Grit lips in person! A post like that will get special attention,...noone should suffer so.
Heh. Thanks, but it's been tried many times. Besides, I wouldn't actually call it "suffering." It's just one of those things. Some people can naturally shoot a great jump shot; some people are intriniscally good at high-level mathematics. Myself, I have the innate ability to cause fish to get lockjaw, deer to pull the Vanishing Trick, pheasants to learn to dig burrows, ducks to suddenly prefer desert climes ... well, you get the idea. ;D After a while, you learn to live with it and even see the humor in it. Still, you don't want me anywhere near your mojo amulet.
Send it down to the deep South and I'll do my best too .
Dan
LBH, i think we can get a few of the Notheren Va BR guys or gals to join you on this guest for MOJO.
Let us know the schedule and such.
Alfred
Your creativity continues to amaze me. I most certainly want to be part of this, but as you know I'm not fihing for awhile due to shoulder injury. You will know when I'm back on the water, and I hope to get in on the mojo.
By the way nice story about "loosing" the hemp necklace
When it makes it down to Florida I'd be more than happy to give it some panhandle mojo.
Great idea! When it comes through the south I would love to rub some MOJO on it.
When it's making it's northern swing I'll definately put a heaping helping of Maine mojo on the charm. Put me on the list.
QuoteWhen it makes it down to Florida I'd be more than happy to give it some panhandle mojo.
Yeah, send it to Florida!
Count me in LBH!
Send it to me, I need it for next weekend because I am going to a Bill Dance Pond/lake. Im sure I could give it some good mojo between the 3 days and 1 pond and 2 lakes (all private). Then Ill just drive it over to Darrins.
Corey
Welcome aboard Corey!!! I dig your handle! LOL I think I have that one on tape
HH
COREY? The Corey? uh-oh,...trouble in the house,lol,... ;D
Welcome Aboard man, bout time!
First of all what the heck is this trouble talk? I am a perfect gentleman and outstanding contributor to society. Second of all yes Darrin the name came from you, so did the chopped off head in my picture. I guess you are not use to taking pictures of people over 5'5". And I am finally getting my summer trip next weekend, which will apparently come 3 times this year to my bass mecha. Im gonna try and take some footage, which shouldnt be hard, only problem is you may have to mess around with it Darrin. LBH, if you have any instructions on how you did your boat with the rhino lining and what not could you email it to me. Im looking at a boat that would be a fixer upper, and Darrin doesnt want me to drag any boats to him.
The Non- Trouble Maker
Excellent idea!!!
Lets get International
Count me in
Now we're talking,...thanks guys.
To the person I PM'd---I havn't sent it yet seeing as how I have yet to put my own mojo in it. I'm fishing tomorrow, Dirk and I are taking out some kids from the shriners hospital, we can't take pics of them but we can get a pic of he and I adding mojo. I'll send it out asap but with the holiday, that won't be till Wednesday.
Then it's off and around the world she goes! Whoever sends it to Vyron, I'll help with shipping if it's crazy but I'd really like to see it go overseas also. Vyron and his buddies have a nice collection of pics that we need to add this to . Vyron, if you should recieve it, get it on all your friends fish also and get it back to the states asap please.
TIME IS THE ISSUE HERE! (I know, Iknow, I'm the first one to hold it up but it wouldn't seem right to send it on the road without having a home. It will be baptised tomorrow.
COREY- my mistake,...I was thinking of Colby
Ok,..here we go,...got out with my buddy Joe whom I havn't seen in a few years, man do we laugh when we get together, lol.
Anyway,..2 rubs down, mojo installed, it's in the mail.......
Bye bye fishy, have fun!
That's cool.
I would love to put some Michigan mojo on it!!!! Great Idea!
Deal me in for the MOJO MAGIC.... LBH fantastic idea this thing is going to be soooo cool. I just can't believe how you sat down and got this idea its amazing. Please send that baby up to New York and I will put it to good use when I make my trip up to Champlain...
BTW...LBH, my uncle is a tuna fisher in cape cod and him and his buddies go out all the time and make TONS of money of those fish, not that he needs it though.(You can tell by him fishing of a yacht) He also enters a bunch of shark tournaments from what I know and it sounds like he does pretty well in those. I've never gotten into saltwater fishing but it sounds awesome.
But anyone can pass the mojo fish down to me and I will promise to take some pics!!
Great Idea! ;D
While it is here in Florida send it to me and I will add to the list of fish it has helped catch. Just PM me and count me in.
Cool idea.
Well, I got the Mojo charm from LBL/Russ last week. I went to my boss's ponds yesterday but only caught several dinks...no pics...no Mojo :-[.
Got to the swamp pond at about 10 AM; cloudy, rain threatening, 90s air temp, and almost no wind. First cast from the shore with a topwater resulted in a keeper and two pics.
Slid my little boat in and started throwing the topwater, a t-rigged ZOOM Speed Worm, and a Bandit cr/bait. The Bandit pulled another keeper but the little worm brought in two 2 lbers.
Tried a spinnerbait, a T-rigged grub, a jig-n-pig, all to no avail.
Sorry for no big ones but I tried . I'll pass it on to one of you and y'all can put some 'real' Mojo on it!
Tank topwater
No, I'm not that short. The weeds are tall!

I'm in too. I'll get my 9 year old son, who is a bass fishing junkie to tho a little of his mojo on it too.
I'm in when it makes it to the midwest area! 8-)
Jason
QuoteM_Fly- Remember, this is to put mojo INTO, not to use for mojo.
Dang! For a minute there I thought you were offering the solution to my problems! If you decide to turn it into a mojo-bestowing chain, I am the perfect candidate!
anytime its up around michigan count me in i'll throw some mojo on her
Great job Lightninrod!!!! Can't wait to see where it ends up next!
HH
I'm in :-) I'd be more than pleased to slap some more Georgia mojo on that thing!
adam
Don't send it down here, knowin me i'd lose the stinkin thing. :-[
Then what would we do?
It's on its way to...............................................................
Dan
Sounds cool. The Clay Dyer story choked me up when I first heard about it. The man is truely passionate. It put a lot into perspective for me.
Quick question...are we keeping track of where the charm has been? I would be cool to see how many places it's been in a few months...or even a year! I bet it will see a lot of places most of us wont get the chance to.
Capt. This IS the post.
Read through and you'll see it started here with me and some friends and I sent to Lightninrod and it's in the mail to the next mystery member as we speak.
im in send it my way
Im in also......
Howdy Y'all,
Well it took a little doin but here is the latest contribution to the mojo magic.
I will send a PM to the person I would like to see get the next shot at it. As soon as I get a response it will be on it's way.
avid
Way to go LR and Avid! Keep that mojo flowing! Can't wait to see where it ends up next!!!!!
If it ends up here with the boys from the northwoods in WI, MI, MN and the like, I'm game, as long as it gets here before the ice does
Great job Avid, thank you and WELCOME BACK IN THE GAME!!!!
Enad- absolutely not,....ice fishing pics will only add even more mojo as those fish took more effort to catch!!!
aww, come on capt. hooks, its a blizzard every day from nov. til march... I agree as long as the guys in florida take it out during a hurricane, the guys in Oklahoma take it out during a tornado, and the guys in california have to fish from Los Angeles Island after the big one hits ;D
who has it now
Quotewho has it now
The magic of the mojo is it's mystery.
Rest assured that it is on it's way.
I will give a hint. As we speak it is already on it's way to a younger br.comer in a different geographic region.
Gotta keep the mojo fresh ya' know.
Good mojoin' Avid!!! Keep that shoulder workin' young man!
Dan
Great idea and concept LBH. That thing should be able to accumulate some mileage on it.
Quotewho has it now
I do!! Avid asked me if I would like a shot at it and I jumped on it. What an honor! Thanks Avid!
I received the charm yesterday and I went out this morning. I didn't get many bites but I managed a solid largemouth (estimated @ 3lbs.) on the drop shot. The bass was released after the picture. I also targeted stripers from 6:30am-11am. It was the first time I have really targeted them. No takers. We saw some huge boils but they were way too far for us to cast to from the bank. There were small stripers and big largemouth hitting the surface all around us. We couldn't get them to eat anything. There was a 12" striper that jumped straight over my buddies spook jr. Funniest thing I've ever seen a fish do!
6" Roboworm Straight Tail in Margarita Mutilator on the Drop Shot:
Sorry for the bad pic. I was solo for the early session.
I will PM the person I would like to see it go to next...but first I need some sleep.
Well that charm has already been on one hell of a journey ........ coast to coast. Pretty cool!!!!!!!
Oh, we've just begun!!
Great job guys!!
Thanks!
WTG Captain!!! Nice 'work'!
Dan
Cool Beans Cali
awesome Cap'n, way to go.
Way to go Captain!!!
Coast to coast mojo'in! That rocks!
I would be in, but I never know when I get to go fishing, so it would probably have lag time with me, so I'll wait for a while.
Excellent work. I knew you would put some of that "Cali Mojo" on it right quick.
can't wait to see where it ends up next.
avid
Thanks guys. And a special thanks to LBH for starting such a cool thing and Avid for choosing me as a recipient. It was really cool holding the charm knowing where it's been and wondering where it might travel to down the road.
You don't get to do something like this everyday. Cool stuff. 8-)
This is a fantastic idea!! Now that I am back in the game send that sucker my way and I'll sock it full of some "Show-Me State" MOJO!!
LBH, you never cease to amaze with your seemingly constant brainstorming to keep fishing a fun and fresh experience for all and to find ways to bring all of us forum members together under a cause. Once again, excellent idea. Nice job gettin' the MOJO started on it!
Dan, Avid, and Capt. Cali: Nice job keeping the MOJO Train rollin' with some solid feesh. And avid, nice to see you back in the game as well. Go get 'em!
This is an awsome idea. If it ever ends up near Ohio send me a Pm.
Oh, and great job so far guys!
Heck, send that thing to south dakota. I want some of the mojo it left with Captain Cali to land him that double digit bass ;D ;D
Lets recap, CC has the charm on 8/5 and then lands the big fish on 8/10...hmmmmm Just for clarification. CC, was it in your possesion when you landed big momma?
Not trying to take anything away from your fishing abilities, CC but, you can't tell me it hasn't crossed your mind.

Talk about Mojo.......Wow ... This charm is beginning to look like it has some supernatural fishing powers that it passes on to anyone who has come into contact with it.
Can you hear the Twilight zone music?
Listen real close....woooooeeeeeuuuuulluuuuunkerrrrrrrrrr
Let's hope it holds up,...I can't think of anyone who deserves that thing packed with good vibe more than Clay. Great job so far guys!
Every thing is big in Texas, specially mojo, send it on down south for some Tex-Mex mojo. We'll spice it up some more.
Lots of stops in Tx, bring it on down.
Hookem
Matt.
That sounds like a great idea!
Got some noobie mojo just waitin to add to it
Vince
Where is the charm headed now??? :-?
Where it goes is a mystery till it gets posted.
I will say this,..it went NORTH.
Great Idea. Its so cool to see the mojo going everywhere.
LBH, I think our boy Drums is in dire need of the Mojo. I was talking to him this morning about keepin' the faith in "Mojo"! I truely beleive if he held the charm and allowed the Mojo to sink in, he would have Mojo.
I RECIEVED THE MOJO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got it Last week and took it to a tournament with me this weekend
(WSBF STATE QUALIFIER COLUMBIA RIVER, I got called 48 hours in advance to go and fill in for a guy for this big state tournament) The top 60 State federation fisherman, a team is sent from each club.
DAY 1: HELD THE MOJO DURING BLAST OFF, It was an EXTREMELY TOUGH DAY, I caught a 3.2 Smallie in he Morn. then had 12 inch dinks the rest of the day on a Dropshot and a Crankbait.
I had 7.2 lbs. and Still Came in 21rst PLACE out of 60 anglers
DAY 2: Fishing was better, JUST COULDNT GET FISH TOO THE BOAT!!!!!
I had a limit of dinks.
Plain and simple
LOST 3, 2lb. Smallmouth within 3 minutes of each other on a 30 yard stretch on a SPINNERBAIT. One came off at the boat and others came unhooked a little sooner.
6.04 lbs, came in 32nd out of 60
I felt I did good becasue I got to fish against the BIG BOYS, These were the top 60 federation Fisherman in the state and I finished in the middle of the pack or better both days.
Also Enjoyed being on new water, never been out on the Columbia River. ITS REALLY COOL
OFF THE MOJO GOES TO ANOTHER GREAT MEMBER OF THE BASSRESOURCE.com FORUMS!!!!!!!!
OFF OFF and AWAY!!!!
(Sorry No Pics, camera pooped out)
Great work Nick! Sounds like you had fun. Too bad your camera didn't want to cooperate.
Sorry for the delay...my brain pooped out when I deleted your address! :-[

Yeah right...WE know. You just wanted to hold onto that thing as long as possible so you could catch another hawg.....and you did. ;D ;D
Good job Nick!
PM sent
send it back south please
We could use a little mojo here in PA and we would love to pass it on to the rest of the members. Come on guys, I know that I am new to BR, but give the PA anglers a chance here...
Good Fishing...
Wayne
Count me in too.Sounds Awesome!!!!
send it to florida and i'll rub some peacock bass mojo on it
To bad its not on its way to Iowa, I know a couple guys that could load it up with Mojo this weekend.
Corey
I really don't see how the mojo could be more needed than here in NW Arkansas. Beaver Lake is the toughest in the state. Between local tournament anglers, weekend anglers like myself, and everyone else that fishes clear water from that lake, it's just plain tough.
Me and my fishing partner Jolicious have been having a tough go at it this year. We hope to improve by next year so send it our way. We can use all the help we can get! ;D
QuoteI really don't see how the mojo could be more needed than here in NW Arkansas.
It is. read up on Clay HERE.
I think you may have missed the opening post.
I'm on a roll, this tme of year is my most productive for me. Send it my way I will have plenty of pics and mojo to add to it
im in
Count me in as well! Found a great new spot and would like to try it out.
Send it to Florida sometime please! When it gets here, I would appreciate it if someone would PM me so I can give them my address. The fall bass season is almost here, and the fishing is already picking up. I would like to try the mojo magic too, and I will patiently wait my turn.
wow this one has taken forever! It must be in fishchris's boat we all know he can't get any mojo on that thing.... ;D
I just read up on Clay, WOW!
I'm not sure what his professional situation is but if I were a sponsor I'd be all over him for two reasons. One, no matter how bad the odds are stacked against him this guy finds a way to win! Wouldn't you want to be using what he's using????
Any sponsors who take good care of Clay will enjoy similar word of mouth success... for obvious reasons. We all love the underdog who fights insane odds and comes through. My hat's off to Clay! You've inspired me to keep going on a day when I lost 2 lures, caught no fish and accidently snapped a rod clean in half (yea, it's been one of THOSE days...). Here's to clay and "pass the mojo"!
Vorlin
Well, the wait is over everyone!!!! sorry bout the hold up, it takes quite a while for something to get from washington state to Virginia. Anyway, I had just gotten the charm in the mail about 2 days ago adn yesterday I took it out to the Calvalry Run pond. It was a pretty tough day for that place. My first couple casts with a sammy drew several boils and a couple hits but no fish. Then I switched to a 3/8oz. black.blue persuader jig and on my first pitch to a hole in the pads, WHACK 2 1/2lber. then a few minutes later I nailed 2 more dinks on the jig. After that I kept chunkin fer a few hours, and then on my last cast with a Bandit 100 series in a craw color I tied into a nice little 2lber. then I decided to pitch the jig into the same place the last fish came from BAM another 1lber on. So all in all it was kinda slow but still I got a couple more rubs in
First fish of the day.
crankbait fish
Last fish of the day
we should keep track of how many lbs of bass get rubbed on the charm...lol
Sheeoooot! Nice fish! The mojo worked!
Now send it one state over to West Virginia!
QuoteSheeoooot! Nice fish! The mojo worked!
No,...It DIDN"T work!!!
Guys,...please go back and read the starting post in this thread. This has NOTHING to do with bringing the angler mojo. We are PACKING it,..NOT using it for a personal mojo boost for the person that gets it next.
PLEASE GO READ!!!!!
BP48- Awesome pics, great fish for some mojo goodness!! Let's get that thing airborn ASAP
Nice job basspro48!
Let's keep loading up the mojo! Can't wait to see where it ends up next!
Oh.....Ooooops! ;D

The very act of trying to give someone else good luck often leads to those efforts producing luck for the one who works for the sake of another. The more you try to put in, the more you end up with yourself... think of it as "spillage" from the act of trying to fill the "bottle".

Quote.... it takes quite a while for something to get from washington state to Virginia....
Now that it's here, bring it on down to Fredericksburg this Sunday and, hopefully, a group of us can take it out wading in the Rappahannock and really fill it up!
Anyone interested in this outing can get hooked up on the organizational thread in the Southeast Forum. Wading in 1-4 feet of fast, clear water that's loaded with smallmouth and crappie. Incredible scenery, good fishing and NO BOAT TRAFFIC! (Boats can't get there without being destroyed... well, except the occasional canoe or kayak).

I'm in!

And so it is written
Hey is that a deer laying down in the background of the last fish picture? If so, how cool is that.
lol....I just noticed that. Wonder if it's real?
Great work BassPro48! Can't wait to see where it ends up next!
Swimbait season is about to start! I might not be able to do it, but between my partner and I we could put at least one 5+lb mojo into that mama! I'm game!
This is a cool idea. Good job everybody.
About the deer; I 'm pretty sure that it doesn't look very real at all.
Well, I was next in line to add a little mojo to the charm. This has been a rough couple of weeks for me but I managed a little Potomac smallie mojo and a couple of pond bass. No big girls, but mojo none the less! The smallie came on a Strike King The Duece buzzbait and the largemouths came on chatterbaits. The charm is on its way to its next stop! Best of luck!!!!! Here are a few picks.
Here's one of the pond bass! Sorry, my other pic was too dark so I wasn't able to make it light enough.
Donde esta la MOJO?
Phil, It has gone south for a winter tour, that's all I'm saying.
Hey Russ,
How many miles do you estimate have been put on that bad boy so far?
Seems to me he's gettin around pretty well.
Waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit a second.
Now I get it.
YOU GET FREQUENT FLYER MILES>>>>> 8-)
If thing makes it's way to florida....I'd like to take it fishing.
Give it some Florida Bass mojo if it doesn't have any alread.
Someone keeping a list?
Having it down South for the winter is all for the best. When it comes to next spring's spawn maybe it can just work it's way north!!
I know Hawg_Hunter and I both would love to have a chance at pouring a bit of the ol' "Midwest Mojo" into that little charm. send it to Iowa
Best of "mojo" to whom ever has it now!!
It's gone south already? Did I miss something??? :-?
no Basser, the post will catch up soon.

and don't be afraid to be creative. Have your priest bless it (get pics), have the tackle store guy dip it in the shiner tank, etc,...
Great job so far, and HAVE FUN!!
I'm up to put in some mojo. Somebody keep me in mind.
What's taking so long? Who has it now and why haven't they posted any pics yet?
Hey fellas I got it around early fall didnt catch any fish So I took the hooks off my oldest and most trusted Original Floating Rapala and put it on the key chain ( A lot of mojo on that baby) a lot of hours and good mojo with friends fishing on it now I passed it on ( not supposed to say to who) So happy trails to the MoJo Charm
Good job keepin' it goin', Muddy! At least if you didn't get a fish, you put some hooks on it.
Way to be creative Muddy! Can't wait to see where it ends up next!
Wow!!!
The mojo done growd teeth
Hey, I just wrote this post about the mojo charm but it would have given away who has it :-X Then i read MuddyMan's post and realized i shouldn't post it so nvm, ha. Y'all frozed up north yet?
This mojo thing is a cool idea! Count me in! Just send me a PM if I can add a little "mojo magic."
Whoever has it now, please PM me asap.
Russ
Ok, whoever has the charm better say something soon... L_B_H has stopped eating and is in danger of losing weight from the stress. ...lol If he loses any weight he will blow out of the boat at Fork! ;D
I guess it's ok to make skinny jokes, right? (since I'm a fat guy) ...lol
How about whoever just had it, PM L_B_H so at least he knows where it was headed? I hope it didn't go "priority mail" [gulp]
Crap!!!!! I sent it to Craig Baugher. :-? Was that wrong????
QuoteI guess it's ok to make skinny jokes, right? (since I'm a fat guy) ...lol
Flechero said he's gonna build a rod that looks JUST like me! (I think he meant the shape, lol)
I know who has it now, not happy about the delay, it will be back under way soon.
QuoteCrap!!!!! I sent it to Craig Baugher. :-? Was that wrong????
HA HA HA!!!!!! LMAO! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Maybe it can come to Lake Fork with us. Sure could get passed around and maybe some 'Share Lunker' MOJO.
Kelley
Great idea Kelley!!
It is in transit right now, and will be heading back to me after the next member has a chance to pack it with more mojo. I'll be sure to bring it to Fork.
Still waiting to hear from Clay everyone.
Excellent idea about the mojo at the fork.
Imagine some share lunker mojo on that sucker.
That and the cajun meatball chili & rib mojo should make it a charm any WR hunter would want to own.
We could sell it on E-bay ;D ;D ;D (proceeds to c.a.s.t. of course)
Hey Guys! Great job on the site! Thank you so much for all your support!! I sincerely appologize for the delay, I had alot of computer problems last fall. I'm liking all these fish I'm seeing! Keep it up! God Bless!

Clay
The pleasure is all ours Clay!! I look forward to working with you through CAST this year and wish you the best of luck with all you have ahead of you for 2007.
The mojo will be coming back to me soon so I can bring it to our 2nd annual trip to Lake Fork. There, it will recieve it's final "power packing" (appx 30 or so of us attending!!) before we send it on to you. We ask if you would keep it on your boat key chain and take a small piece of us with you on all your adventures.
Thanks again for all you do.
LBH
WHAT LBH SAID
Clay, the funny looking guy above me (muddy_man) is the host of the Pa event. Don't be afraid of his looks, we'll make him shave or somthing that day! ;D
Hey Clay I aint shavin for no one To be fair Zel,me and Ron are hosting the PA event without thier help it wouldnt happen
Welcome Clay! LBH has told us about you and how great of a person you are on and off the lake. CAST looks like a great program. I was scanning around the site and admiring the nice program it is.
There's gonna be a lot of MOJO in that thing!!!! Clay, you better be careful you don't get DQed!
Well i received the mojo last week. Just in time to get sick as a dog >. I missed a few days of work. Just as I started feeling better, I got a call from one of my best friends. I have known him since I was ten. My buddy's daughter had passed away, so I had to travel to the funeral and spend time with them. The next person in line needed the mojo soon for some serious mojo charging so I had to send it off.
On a more positive note I DID make it out for about half an hour. We have had a horrible dry/cold january. I ended up having to fish miserable post frontal conditions. I fished a pond close to my house for about 45 minutes. It has been so dry that it is at HALF POOL! In my 45 minutes of seriously ill, post frontal, ice cold fishing I managed this toad and four of his clones. All were treated to the mojo, but I only photographed the first giant.
Sure would have like to get a chance to really fish while I had it, but I added a little to the pot I guess. My other addition was to muddy's rapala. That mook had threaded the line tie of his rapala directly onto the mojo key ring. It didn't have freedom of motion. I took an 80lb Owner split ring off of the bait that I hooked my first ten plus on and attached it to his rapala and then the ring givin it that freedom of motion most important to the mojo!
It is on its way to the next recipient and I am stoked to see what happens next.
Jay
4Bizz-
EXCELLENT JOB and WAY TO PERSEVERE!!
That's the kind of dedication we are looking for! Sick, and with issues in the air, 4bizz gets the job done and also has the creativity to add the split ring from the lure of his big bass. Excellent job and thanks for the expedient service.
Way to go!!
(Condolences to your friends family, that's some terrible news.)
(and I hope your feeling better)
Hey 4Biz, way to go with the mojo
Are you sure you can't find a way to get down to the Fork for a few days?
We could nail an extra foot to someone's cot and make you feel all comfy ;D
Seriously, It would be great if y'all could come on down.

I would like to get down to texas, but my bank account wouldn't allow it and I wouldn't want to leave our big fish for those dinks down there at fork! LOL. Maybe next year I could figure out how to make it.
Or........BassResource.com roadtrip to CLEARLAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Nice work Jay. I'm glad to see the charm came back for some more Cali love! Now it's been to No.Cal and So.Cal at least once. 8-)
Clear Lake is a great idea. I'd be there in a heartbeat!
Well, many of you have been wondering where the mojo has been recently. I can now tell you that it was at the Classic with Randy Howell! He had it with him at the Jr. Bassmaster Championship as well as throughout the Classic. Here is what he said about the experience:
QuoteThe only day I had a still camera in the boat was the first day and they were going to take a picture of the mojo with my fish, but the guy lost his camera out of his pocket first thing that morning. With all the excitement and intensity of the fishing, the mojo took the Classic ride in my pocket but no fish pictures. Clay was excited that I had it. My wife will send it back first thing in the am tomorrow. Thanks again for getting it to me, it meant a lot to both me and Clay! Thanks and God bless!
Randy Howell
How's THAT for some Classic mojo!
Now THAT is what I am talking about! That was worth rushing it off and having to take a picture of a total dink! Way to go Glenn, Randy, LBH, and us!
I hope it brings Clay many a kicker!
Excellent!!
Thanks Glenn for initiating this and thanks to Mr. Howell for taking the time to participate.
I wonder if the mojo had anything to do with Randy not getting "taken out" by some of the crazy boat captains we have these days, lol.
;D
Thanks again guys!
How COOL is that!!!!
That is some MEGA MOJO
Wow!!!! The Mojo was witness to the crime. ;D ;D Do you think if Howell would have won The Classic he would have given the MOJO back???
Nice touch
HEY...IF CLAY DOESN'T NEED THE MOJO BY THE END OF MAY...CAN YA SEND IT OUR WAY...LOL...TRITONMAN AND I ARE FISHING OUR TEAM TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIPS FOLLOWING MEMORIAL DAY. WE QUALIFIED FOR THE WEEKNIGHT AND THE WEEKEND CHAMPIONSHIPS. WE FINISHED 21ST IN OUR TOP 250 LISTING AS A TEAM...LOOKING TO WIN A NEW BOAT THIS YEAR....
Too cool! 8-)
Man that is cool....too cool!Russ,Glenn, and all ya'll..Great Job!
Simply awesome!! Whats next? I won't be surprised whatever it is....with the creative minds of LBH and Glen, the sky is the limit! Kudos guys!
Darrin
Whe the MOJO gets back around to travel. Send it The Radio Guy's way. Nothin better than some Missouri Ozark MOJO!
In all seriousness... What you all have done is absolutly heart warming. way to go to all involved.
Give me some more background, I would love to touch on this topic during my next "Fish Tales" show. which btw, will be tuesday at 8:20pm cst.
Nice job,
The Radio Guy
What would you like to know? The first two pages of this thread cover it pretty well. I can give you more information beyond that if you'd like. Send me a PM with your number and I'll give you a call.
Thanks!
Glenn
wow, I have been logged off BR for a very long time (18" of ice on the river is keeping me out of the boat :'( ) but I just saw this post. What an incredibly awesome idea! If it's still around in a few weeks, don't be afraid to send it my way! We still have TOO MUCH ice, but we should be out in a couple weeks finally.
One suggestion, sorry, I haven't had time to read all 9 pages ;D so it may have been said, but maybe we should put some kind of key chain float on it..Don't know if that sinks or not, but boy would that suck to drop it in the water :'(
I brought the mojo with me to Fork. This 4 1/2 pounder was caught on the first day. I handed the mojo to Fluke & Muddy, but I don't think they took any pictures with it. I don't think there were any other pics with it from the trip for that matter.
This trip officially ends the mojo's travels. I will present it to Clay in a few months, and will be sure to post it here. It's now time to look towards '08.
Very fitting end to the mojo. To my knowledge there was no other pics taken with the mojo. I hope it gives Clay all the luck in the world!
Very nice end to the mojo, and great idea LBH for putting this thread up!
Agreed. An outstanding idea and follow-through on LBH's behalf! Thanks Russ for putting this together and driving it.
Anyone have any idea how many bass where cought with the charm in possesion?
WHEN IS THE NEXT MOJO STARTING? I am in need of it bad!
Dave
Man, I'm glad I decided to check in on the mojo thread.
I think it has definitly made the rounds in style.
Presenting to C.D. is a totally fitting end.
This was such a great idea. Kudo's to LBH.
Where else but on BassResource.com
All,
Over the Memorial Day weekend, it was my distinct honor and privilege to present to Clay the distinguished Mojo Ring on behalf of all of you. Clay was the guest speaker at a state bass competition, where he spoke to over 100 anglers. At the end of his inspirational and motivating speech, I presented him the key chain that all of you worked so hard to pack with "Mojo" and well wishes.
Let me tell you something, folks - it was WELL WORTH IT! It brought Clay to tears when he realized everything YOU did to show him how much you appreciate everything he does, and what an inspiration he is to you. It also brought a HUGE round of cheers and applause from the audience! What a great story - it brought many to tears. I recieved many "kudos" and positive comments about everything all of you did, and especially what Russ did, to orchestrate the whole thing.
Clay is an exceptional individual well deserving of the Mojo Ring. It was great to meet him - I wish all of you can meet him someday, because YOU DID IT!!
Clay said that he will carry this in his boat glove box so that it's with him wherever he goes. It truly moved him and means a lot to him.
Y'all are fantastic!! Congratulations!
Wow... that is amazing! Great job to everyone involved!!!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEhawwwwwwwwwwwwwww >i have no clue how i got here i clicked that link so any way GOOD job for w-e it was
A very good end to the mojo!
I am proud to have participated in the "great mojo saga".
What a fabulous way to bring closure to it's amazing journey.
I think Clay has got to be one of the most courageous and positive human beings on the face of the planet.
Well done, Glenn, Russ, and as always
BassResource.com Rocks
Awesome! It was an honor to be a part of this. It couldn't have ended up with a better person. Clay is an inspiration to everyone, not just us bass anglers.
Great idea send it my way ill share my MoJo.
QuoteCrap!!!!! I sent it to Craig Baugher. :-? Was that wrong????
No... I'd keep it... :
Does it have to be a tuna? Cause Im huntin for Marlin. Send it to an old friend of "low budget", we go way back, to the time of black cats and plaster walls like tatoos. Let me give it a whirl in Hawaii.
