Post photos of your double digit black bass. Nothing under 10 lbs please. Here are mine. Two were donated, which I would never do again. The others were released. Please disregard the over extended jaw photos near the bottom, as you can see I have long since learned how to properly hold them. The jaw hold on the F1 below is very appropriate.

Sorry couldn't find any pics of my 10 pounders
Excellent pictures! Thank you for sharing
Nice pics gentlemen. It's a fishing goal of mine to submit a DD, pic on a thread like this. Dead River are those the only DD you have caught? If not, how many have you landed?
I have only landed 8 double digit bass. I have lost two fish for sure that were double digits and another that is questionable. I know a fellow here in Georgia that has caught over 200 double digit fish - he's an amazing fisherman, not some hyperbolized thing you read about in a magazine but the real thing. My accomplishments pale in comparison to someone like that but it doesn't mean that I'm not proud of my eight big fish.
Jeff and Dwight, those Mexican bass are awesome. If and when I have the coin I would love to fish down there. Thanks for sharing your fish of a lifetime. Keep the photos coming guys.
N.B. the additional photo postings are alternate views of the 8 fish in the original post. I had intended to give several pictures of each fish in one post.
keep the pigbeasts coming guys! I'm waiting on the California guys to get in on the act, w/ no bbcode on this forum that could be kinda time consuming for some of those trophy hunters
MANNNNNN those are some nice fish!! I have had my opportunities but just can't get my photo OP with em yet lol
I plan to revisit this thread soon

I'm still amazed by these fish man thanks for sharing!!! I have texted a bunch of my fishing buddies this link so they can be in awe as well, hey mods hope we get a few more members
Do you remember what you caught some of these on? I'm just curious
Those are some amazing fish. It makes us northern fisherman crazy just thinking about a 10 lb plus bass. I have never seen one in person or know anyone who has caught a 10lber up here in New England. An 8 lb northern largemouth is incredibly rare. That being said I am going for a 10 lber up here in New England. Some awesome pics guys. Really nice fish.

yes of course, the 10-10 that had eaten a channel cat fell to this
Dead River check your PM's!
Jeff
I certainly do not mind showing off my first and only DD. Took me over 30 years of fishing to get her
Hey Shane, brag a little. How much did she weigh? What did you catch her on? Did you pee your pants?

C'mon Jeff...It was raining She hit a Gambler Big EZ on Lake Okeechobee in a field of kissimmee grass. Weighed a hair under 10-3/4. I had clients on board and the older gentlemen quit fishing. When I asked why he wasn't fishing...he told me was not going to make another cast unless I would pick up my rod and fish with him and his son. As soon as she hit...the young fella said there is your 10 pounder. It was a terrifying blast in the grass

I didn't even see your pants were wet. I just meant in excitement! Great story! I too prefer the guides to fish with me as well. And have had them catch fish bigger than my PB. Just lets me know they are down there!!!!!
Jeff
I once caught a new world record on a 1/16oz pink crappie jig at a private lake in Texas on a 5' crappie rod and 4lb test. I think I had a crappie hooked and she ate it on the way up. Anyways, couldn't get ahold of any certified scales or a Game Warden to weigh it so we just went ahead and filleted it and ate it over the campfire, sure tasted great! I have a picture somewhere but it might have been on that camera that Bigfoot ran away with after we stole his beef jerky from him on a camping trip in Ozarks....
My one and only DD fish was at Lake Commendero, Mexico. She should have been 13-14 pounds if she hadn't been on such a strict diet!

great fish, looks like you've enhanced your photo some as well, drop shadow or something. 10 pounders aren't as common on the big o as they used to be huh? Even if you're shiner fishing? I had a friend go out with Tom Mann and he caught a 9 lber on shiner which is pretty cool. I've always wanted to fish the big o.
are there any huge bass in the glades? I've been told by biologists that southern florida isn't as good for giant bass as northern and central...
Yes it was taken on a dark rainy day with my sorry cell phone with low mega pixels. We could not get it to flash. So I had to really enhance and put some color in it. That night I went and bought a Canon Rebel Ti5.....that will never be an issure again when a trophy hits the deck. The biologist told you the truth..The souther parts of Florida are do not give up big bass like central Florida. Lake O has plenty of big fish.....but it 750 square miles.
Here is the origional....I was so dissapointed with the shot.
Dead River, great bass, goodness man. So impressive. Where abouts are you fishing in Georgia?
Great work guys, wish I had something to contribute.

Those skin mounts or replicas?
When I get mine I am going for the replica. I always said I wanted a skin but I don't think I would be able to bring myself to let a fish that big/old die. Also I found this guy from Mississippi that does AMAZING replicas. Saw him on YouTube and I swear they were skin, I wasn't the only one who shared that view in the comments, the scale detail was amazing! I've seen some replicas done that look like a cartoon fish I want to get my money's worth... First I got to land her though!!!
I plan on having a wall like that
Dead River you have posted enough double digit fish pics to photoshop our face on your body so everyone who commented could claim a pic/fish lol
Here's mine guess the weight??? 30" long need help guessing plz thanks, Will W.
Mexican lakes and private ponds don't count. There is always a party pooper!

Any idea on the girth? 30" is a ridiculously long bass. By the fishing calculator on the site, if your fish was 30" and had a very modest girth at 18" it would still weigh 15.88 pounds. George Perry's world record was only 2.5" longer and measured 28.5" around. Kurita's fish was just over 27 inches long and almost 27" around. Point being, when you get a fish that long you can get a big difference depending on the girth. Even if it was anorexic and only 12" around it would be near 10 pounds, although I doubt a bass could be that skinny and still be alive.

fish in your avatar is 30"???
Yes in reply to dead river, in reply to bluebasser86, I believe the girth was 17". Thanks, Will W.

Fish calculator puts it at 15 pounds even then.
Wow! Bigger than expected! Thanks for the help, Will W.
There are several different calculations you can find to calculate a fishes weight. I have found the most accurate formula to be ((length x length) x girth) /1200. On the water I weigh the fish with my digital scale and takes it length and girth. When I get back home from the days fishing I use the formula to see how accurate it is compared to my digital scale. The formula I mentioned above is very accurate compared to what the fish would weigh on the digital scale. It usually within 2 ounces. Next time out on the water check it out and see what your scale says compared to what the formula comes out to.
Using the above mentioned formula:
((30 x 30) x 17) / 1200 = 12.75 lbs
Show us some more pics bud. That fish doesn't look 30" to me

On your next birthday ask for the ACCU-CULL Digital Scale.
Here's the link.
http://www.*.com/Accu-Cull-Digital-Scale-p/accucull-digital-scale.htm
It comes with a tape measure.
Perhaps you could have someone show you how to use it, correctly.

I tried not to chuckle. I failed.
that fish doesn't look anywhere close to 30" long, I'd have to see some better photos... just my opinion. that photo needs to go on that lunker club thread to be debunked
Only pic I have. Sorry, Will W.
Did you weigh it or measure it Will?
Post it in the body of a message. How did you measure it? Post hoc?
I measured it with a regular old tape measure 30" long 16.75" girth. Thanks, Will W.
that's a nice fish but it looks 25" or so to me, your hand sort of takes away from it for me. here's my 26" tail open

Here's a few I've caught while fishing with Big O. Actually, the last pic was my first ever 10+. Good times fishing with that guy! Can't wait to get back down there in a few days, and hopefully catch one in the teens this time! Awesome fish, guys!!
those are great fish! thanks for sharing. Big O knows how to catch the big ones. I'd love to fish with that guy. I haven't ruled out moving to Texas at some point actually.

yep until you break one of those supports that's riveted to the middle bench. I definitely need to get that thing fixed....getting the bottom patched this week.
If that dudes fish is 30"...my pb is 35". Which it's not...it's 25. haha My pb is 9.2, so it doesn't make the board. The fish calcs said it was 10 but the scale didn't.
If that kid's fish is 30" long, allow me to show you the PA record largemouth.

yeah there's no way. and I don't mean to be ugly by saying that. it just is what it is...
sometime back in a discussion with the biologist that had been over the pfa where I caught five of my double digits, I was informed that almost positively all of the giant fish I caught from the pfa would've had to have been f1 hybrids due to the fact that the fx intergrades (native Ga bass aka Montgomery strain) were not old enough to have matured to such size. The farmpond giants toward the end of the photos are fx intergrades, those fish are offspring of a stocking from the 1950s... so some of my captioning describing the crankbait fish from the pfa were wrong.
If it hadn't have gone dry Ocmulgee pfa would've become the equivalent of Castaic lagoon east coast style
