what size are these indicators?

Answer: Small, about one inch long.

Directions how to use?

Answer: They are very simple to use. Place your line in the slot found in the yellow cork and the twist the black insert a 1/4 to 1/2 turn. This will catch your line and hold the float where you want it. I'm just a novice at fly fishing so someone more experience might help better than me. That being said, when I fish a stream or river I'll use the float quite a distance up the line knowing that it will help me see when a fish hits the lure.
