Answer: I have two 25s. One on a 6.5 ft and one on a 7ft light to medium pole. Both work great. When you get your reel. Be sure to check all the screws around the bail to make sure they are tight.

Answer: Going by the size of a 30 on a 6.5 foot rod I would say yes. I am sure there is someone out there that could give a more accurate answer.

Answer: The size 60 will not only catch catfish, it will hold a bill fish as long as it's under 150lbs.

Richard G. Koehler Jr. : Reel does not have a reverse lock lever.

This reel is smooth as silk but does not have a reverse lock lever so it is always reverse locked. This is not mentioned in the description nor is it possible to determine in the pictures of the item on the webpage. This is a very important feature and needs to be stated in all fishing reel descriptions. Also I received a box with no manual which is very unusual for a reel. I had to contact another company to get accurate information on this reel.

I found it to be solid, smooth reeling and quiet. Well built reel. I don't have alot of time on mine. Have to see how it is after years of use. I like it enough I intend on replacing all my reels with the ugly stick reel. I use only ugly stick rods.

Broke in there places after the third use. The first real to arrive after my order was broken in the box. Maybe bad luck on my end, but i cant not mention my disappointment, as i very much enjoy all thier other products.

1. The ring that catches the line to wind it back on the real broke first...the moment a fiah is on, its taking the line, leaving the operator helpless.

2 the cap to tightwn the handle was never shipped with the item...

3 the handle can be tightened on its own to an exstent...the extent is about a 3lbs catch...

I have been using ugly stik for many years. I purchase a total of three ugly tough reels just about a month ago. Took two of them on a trip to fish for lake trout. It started out working great. After about two hours, I started having trouble with the bail closing during the cast causing the line to snap. Turns out that the bail mechanism was falling apart. So I started using the second reel. I checked out the bail mechanism before I used it. Again..within two hours the bail mechanism started to fall apart. Not impressed. I have had reels for 15 years and never had issues like this.
