Answer: I put mine on a MH. A piscifun serpent, to be exact. It depends on what you plan on throwing, I plan on using the combo for A rigs. Keep in mind that the 200 spool size allows for distance and plan accordingly.

This reel is very nice. Not only is it pretty but it does what it's supposed to do. I took it out and put 20 lbs monofilament on it. I ended up catching one perch and two ling cods! Not a bad day on the boat! My largest cod was 22 lbs and reeling it in was fun! There was no slipping or too much drag. it was perfect!

I started on both an Abu Garcia Pro Max and this Kastking Royale Legend 200 earlier this year. I'm fishing in Alaska so I got the Kastking due to its larger line capacity. Both reels are smooth, efficient, and very user friendly with practice. Honestly, the Kastking loses nothing to the Abu Garcia. I used the Kastking over several days in Valdez, AK for silver (coho) salmon in the 6-14 lb. range. Coho are exceptionally powerful, fast, aggressive, airborne salmon that will test typical fishing gear. One author referred to them as the "drunk, angry uncle of the salmon family". Spooled with 30 lb. Kastking Super Power Braid and fished off Kastking's Royale Legend bait casting rod, it performed very well. It was a great combination, IMO, taming a dozen or so large coho which are now in my freezer, smoked, or canned. I have since picked up a second which I spooled with 65 lb. braid. I plan on using it for king salmon next year, and that's saying something because I never take shoddy gear for kings! Both reels spooled evenly, have strong, smooth drag systems, cast long distances, operate smooth as silk, and are a tremendous value! I highly recommend to anybody looking for a bait cast reel with higher line capacity for larger, stronger fish!

The build quality is absolutely phenomenal with components typical found in much more expensive reels. I love how light it is considering its size, only 9 grams. I love that it has 8 magnetic brakes with 30 clicks or adjustment points. 4 disc carbon fiber drag system with 22 lbs of max drag at this price is a steal.

Fit and finish are great. Good looking reel. After a few adjustments cast as well as other reels that cost considerably more. Plenty of line capacity to make use of backing before winding on premium fluorocarbon. There was a little rear play on the anti reverse bearing but it might just need a little grease. Overall a great reel for the money. I personally prefer a faster retrieve ratio but ratio provided still works well for most applications. Revision: going back and taking a second look at what I thought was back play in the anti-reverse bearing, come to find out the hole in handle to fit onto the crank shaft was a little oversized causing the problem.

Good but I think they should have been more consistent with features. The original batch of these came with a drag clicker when a fish pulled drag. The new batch of these doesn't come with that (at least not mine), I mean it's not a huge deal but was kind of looking forward to that. Oh well. Other than that it feels like a great reel with a good amount of drag to put alot of big fish in your hands!

Just received my KastKing Royal Legend II 200 and I must say I'm impressed. Quality of this reel inside and out seems comparable to most $200 reels I've owned in the past. Build quality is good, real is smooth, tolerances seem to be very tight. And the damn thing looks good. Took a few casts in the yard, and it casted with these and no issues. Magnetic braking seems to work great. On a side note the packaging was more thought out than most expensive reels I've bought in the past. Well done KastKing!
