The new Royale Legend II 200 baitcast fishing reel features a lightweight and powerful graphite frame and side covers but maintains a low-profile design for fishing comfort. The wider frame allows for a larger spool providing high line capacity. The CNC machined aluminum spool will hold up to 130 yards of 17 mono, and very high capacities of even stronger braid.
This fishing reel is perfect for casting large swimbaits, deep diving crankbaits, large Muskie style baits or for big fish like Catfish, Salmon & Steelhead, Snook, Redfish and more. The Royal Legend II 200 is made to be at home for both fresh and saltwater fishing.

Answer: I put mine on a MH. A piscifun serpent, to be exact. It depends on what you plan on throwing, I plan on using the combo for A rigs. Keep in mind that the 200 spool size allows for distance and plan accordingly.

Just received my KastKing Royal Legend II 200 and I must say I'm impressed. Quality of this reel inside and out seems comparable to most $200 reels I've owned in the past. Build quality is good, real is smooth, tolerances seem to be very tight. And the damn thing looks good. Took a few casts in the yard, and it casted with these and no issues. Magnetic braking seems to work great. On a side note the packaging was more thought out than most expensive reels I've bought in the past. Well done KastKing!

The instruction manual is clearly written and broken down into sections which will allow for an experienced user or someone new to using a baitcasting reel to easily understand and the text isn't so small that you can't read it.
I spooled this reel with Superpower 30lb Braid by KastKing...It is what I have on hand and what I use on all of my reels regardless of the brand.
The side plate is removable making spool access easy and has a nice latch keeping it locked in place. All of the adjustments for the reel are clearly marked and easily accessed. The reel isn't over or undersized and feels comfortable in my hand. The retrieve handle is well made and ample in size for small and larger hands and is not slippery.
The body and the spool release are some kind of plastic/polymer but in no way feels cheap or flimsy. It has nice solid feel and a smooth cast. I would certainly recommend this reel to anyone looking for an Excellent Value in Quality Fishing Gear.

I received a Royale 200 thru the KastKing VOC program. In an effort to provide an accurate comparison I mounted the Royale 200 and my most similar fishing reel being an Abu Garcia Blackmax on matching 7’ Ugly Stick rods spooled with 10# Yo-Zuri Fluor/mono hybrid line.
Both reels feature 5+ ball bearings, a 6.4-1 ratio and are very similar aesthetically with key difference being the Royale 200 is a size larger. Personally I prefer the “200” sized teardrop reel to the smaller Abu but I have largish hands and it’s personal preference. I found a lot of nice things to note being initial smoothness of reel, immediate anti reverse, and a particularly near feature in the spool release clip on the opposite side of the frame from the handle.
I found it relatively easy to cast a considerable distance with as little as 1/2 ounce of weight. Dialing in the two spool control features was easy enough. It was a blustery day yesterday lighter crank baits were a bit of a challenge but that was more the weather, my skill level than the reel.
In summary, after a single use I enjoyed the Royale and look forward to further testing, evaluating long term durability of which time will tell.. In the spirit of providing prompt feedback I did want to review the product quickly. Based upon my favorable initial experience with this product I provide 5/5 stars with caveat that my limited use fails to address how well it holds up as the years and abuse pile on.

If you're use to a spinning reel and you're right handed, buy the left-handed model. It fits perfectly. Although anglers speak about how big this reel is compared to other bait casting reels, this reel feels smaller than most spinning reels. You get all the power and accuracy in a more compact reel. That's pretty nice.

Really like the offset handle, makes the reel have a low profile very easy to grip. Overall the reel is very smooth on cast and retrieve. Drag does not bind, I'm using it with 20lb powerpro on a favorite rod. Would buy again.

This reel is a bit larger which makes it a perfect fit for those of us with larger hands. The line capacity is great. You won't be spooling on the cast. For the price, you won't beat this deal. This is my 3 Kast King reel and they are all used in saltwater without failure. I can't say that for a few other brands.

Super quiet and super smooth. The make and mechanics are solid as well. Up to 16lb line can be spooled (and of course that is enhanced with braided line). Seems to cast much farther, simply as a result of the mechanics and smoothness. Great for getting to the other side of those large ponds, and tracking along the middle of a large lake, and hitting both sides on a slow trot.

I'm very new to baitcasters, but love my Kastking products, and I wanted something I can take inshore fishing while targeting Reds, Trout, and Flounder. This thing is light, and will hold all the line I need, with the ability to adjust more than I know how to right now. This will be perfect to take out in my kayak to throw whatever I need to to, and be able to do it all day long. Kastking's customer service is second to known, so don't let their prices fool you, you are getting a quality product, just for less money.

Fit and finish are great. Good lookin reel. After a few adjustments cast as well as other reels that cost considerably more. Plenty of line capacity to make use of backing before winding on premium fluorocarbon. There was a little rear play on the anti reverse bearing but it might just need a little grease. Overall a great reel for the money. I personally prefer a faster retrieve ratio but ratio provided still works well for most applications. Revision: going back and taking a second look at what I thought was back play in the anti-reverse bearing, come to find out the hole in handle to fit onto the crank shaft was a little oversized causing the problem.
