Answer: Yes , it is an excellente Reel for saltwater fishing.

Answer: I used it in Florida last week, surf fishing and wading waist deep. Just rinsed with freshwater after every use. Really pleased with the performance.

Answer: It can be used for fresh andcslat water you just have to clean it with tap water after salt water use to prevent rusting. Great reel for ocean and fresh water fishing.

Answer: I think the 6000 may be a bit small for sharks but would be ok for reds, I would look at conventional reels for that

Answer: Drag on the 2000 reel goes from no drag or around 2/3lb to 33 lb drag very quickly within 10 clicks or 90 degree turn of the dial. It's not sensitive at all, there is little to no play between the Max drag and that 10 click. I'm not sure if I just have a defective one or if anyone else can confirm it.

What 8s the spec diffrence between the 1000,2000,3000, and the 4000

Answer: The 1000 is basically an ultralight reel for bream and crappie. Max test line is probably 8 pound. The 2000 has max of 10 pound test, good for bass, specks, and even reds with proper drag setting. I bought the 3000, which is probably a more universal reel, with max test line at 12 pounds. 4000 has max test of, I think 15 pounds. More heavy duty open water fishing. Just so you know, it's a pretty reel, very smooth retrieve. Hope that helps.

Answer: Yes it does! But I would not recommend it because it does not have a carbon fiber drag. I got a refund when I called in for complaint and then let me keep the reel, it's decent but that's false advertisement!!

Using this reel only 3 times paint is already coming off the reel.
Nice reel but wouldn't recommend at all no idea how I ended up with a reel after a few uses the paint starts to peel off.
I bought Walmart reels that never had this problem and they were combo specials this reel at this price having paint peel off is a shame.

I went through two sets of this reel for saltwater fishing. I'm well versed in cleaning my reels after use even in brackish waters, and both reels seized up and failed to perform after no more than 5 trips. They worked well when they did, but they ultimately failed to perform.

I purchased the Spider 3000 version for my husband for Fathers Day, he really loves this reel. He said its light weight and spins smooth. It's made of really good materials and seems to be just as good as more expensive brands. He has been so funny in the past about getting quality items for hunting and fishing online but he now knows it's possible. He loves this reel so much that he made a little review video :) When he needs more fishing items I will be sure to check out this seller again.

The "original" price of this reel should be nowhere near over 100 dollars. The reel came in real spotty as far as paint and finish goes. Some parts looked real cheap but for 20 bucks, I can't complain although its misleading to say it's original price is over 100. So far, the reel feels solid although durability is questionable. It is quiet and smooth. I try to keep all my things nice and clean so the finish did bother me at first. I dont care much for open reels but decided to give this one a try for finesse fishing or crappies. I think it will serve its purpose for the time being but will definitely be buying a named brand next time around.
