Why can’t I find this real anywhere online? I don’t see any information except on here. Never new there was an xs version.

The reel is pretty surprising. Took it out Saturday and it held up fairly well to some redfish. The only issue I have is on some edges they could have done alittle better QC. There were some tool marks which left some areas sharp.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see this reel is how well-made it is…it’s great. It’s not too thick and chunky but it’s got enough material to hold up to the rigors of fly fishing. It’s got a smooth retrieval and great drag settings. It’s got a good bit of control and it looks great. Not that I care so much about the way that it looks but it’s an absolute bonus. While I’m still newer to stringing fly reels, this one made it pretty easy.

Initial impressions of the reel exceed expectations! It's lighter than I had anticipated, everything works as it should, and it reels very smooth. I was very impressed to see that it's CNC machined rather than cast which if what you'd generally find in this price range. Unfortunately, I'm still a ways out from trout opener so it'll have to wait to get a test run on the water. I'll update the review once it's been on the water!

Bill M. : A Silky Smooth Fly Reel

I first heard of Piscifun about a year ago when I ran across one of their spinning reels right here on Amazon. It looked like a really nice reel and others seemed to like it, so I took a chance and ordered it. I was really impressed with the overall quality of the reel. Quality-wise it’s every bit as good as one of my upper-level Daiwa spinning reels.

And that brings us to this fly reel. I am equally impressed with the overall quality of this Aoka XS fly reel. It is lightweight, but it is very sturdy/solid, and it is machined incredibly well. I looked the reel over very closely and I really can’t see any room for improvement machining-wise.

I haven’t taken the reel apart, but the internal workings feel like they are made from very high-quality parts/materials. This fly reel is crazy smooth. And the drag is silky smooth, too. I think you would have to be insanely picky to find any faults with this reel. Especially given its modest price compared to the high-end brands. I honestly don’t think you’ll find better fishing gear for the price. In fact, I don’t think you’ll find better fishing gear for twice the price.
