Can you use this reel with a ultra light rod

Answer: They sell a few different size reels I would get the smallest one for a ultra light I have two different sizes of this reel and the last one I got I use on my surf rod it’s big

Answer: The reel is pretty large. I do have mine set up on a dock demon pole for cat fishing on my kayak. So technically yes you can but it’s a big reel.

I like this bait cast style reel. Thought the rear drag was not working at first but found it works great You have to flip the rear lever forward to adjust the rear drag. Instructions would be nice.

awesome reel, love the two spools, load 6lb on one spool, and 10lb on the other. switching spools quick and easy, only take one rod, and have two line weight options. definitely save space on the boat where space is a premium. spinning action is smoother than reels I have paid twice as much for, great product.

It's been a good reel. I've used it many times this summer in salt water bank and inshore fishing.
Excellent value for the money considering it's cost is about equal to good braided line. I'm using a monotex line which is silky smooth and fits more line on it than braid. Both casting and retrieve is very smooth. Baitrunner drag is a bonus although takes getting used to compared to Shimano Reels it's activation is opposite or backward. On occasion I have had to tighten the screw cap on the crank but not near as much as the cheap combos you might buy at the big box stores. I also particularly like the dual retrieve handles
