- Take out the spring clip and the white one-way bearing, which is beneath it
- Reverse load the one-way bearing into the spool

Answer: No this reel doesn't make a clicking sound--it is silent!

Answer: Correct. If you are reeling with your left hand (like the majority of people) then you will find that the line on this reel is spooled on backwards. I pulled all the line and backing off the two I bought and wound them back on the normal way.

The drag is not good, but it's a quiet casting reel and does the job for what I need. It's plastic. The spring and "bearings" will wear out quickly but for the money and after switching reel to LH retrieve, it's cost per use is very good. Love the reel. Line is exactly what I needed. Leader is attached well. Did not unspool to check backing, but I have never had my other reel out that far anyway.
