how well do the bearings perform?
Answer: For the price these are really great. I have been using this reel for 2 months now but I have similar reels from this brand over the past couple years. I had the very first one I bought drag go out on me after 2 years of use. I didn’t expect it to last 10 years like name brand can but 2-3 years is very reasonable and I use them around 3 times a week.

I think this reel is a great value, although the description may not be accurate. I think the line capacity is overstated, as I couldn't put even 150yds (137m) of 20lb (0.23mm) braided line on the 3000 reel.
I am also concerned about the stated Drag. It claims to have a drag up to 19.7lbs, but I managed to snag a rock on my first trip out, and with the drag fully activated, I snapped my 20lb braided line. Sure, I wanted the line to snap in this scenario, but I didn't think I'd be able to without stopping the reel with my hand. If I was fighting a big fish, and my line broke when my drag should have still let line out, I would be really mad.
All in all, though, I've had fun with this reel. Just be wary of your drag settings, and don't count on the accuracy of the numbers listed in the description.

I used this reel to replace a cheap Daiwa reel that was contaminated with sand. I've used this kayak fishing in the ocean and freshwater with good results. The reel was even dunked in the saltwater briefly - and still functions fine.
The reel works great, unfortunately, when I was cleaning it, I lost the spool washers that go under the spool - so need to find some replacements so I can use it again.
