Answer: If you just do a quick Google search, you will find that KastKing is a USA company founded in NY by a couple of friends who liked fishing. Most of their reels are produced in the USA (with some of their less expensive reels produced in China).
Answer: Not certain, but I think it was made in China. Very nice reel, but relatively small. Too small for surf fishing (can’t hold enough line).

Answer: Its hard to help without knowing which part you are trying to remove, but, make sure you keep the line tight enough while reeling so it lays nicely on the reel.

Answer: I partially disassembled this reel to check if the bearings were sealed (to verify that you can use it in saltwater). There are gaskets and washers to keep the drag and bearings sealed.

Answer: The 3000, 4000 are excellent for fishing in the surf when using spoons, jigs and such for snook, lady fish, white trout, specs, etc. For those use 10 pound line. If you're wanting a long cast with heavy line (20# and up) for Reds, larger Blue fish, etc., then use a 6000 series. Note: I catch 30/35# Bull Reds using 6000 series and 20 pound line. Just use the drag properly and enjoy the fight.

Extremely smooth reel. It feels like a high quality reel at a fraction of the cost. I was in the market for a 3000 size reel but went with the 4000 size because of some of the reviews that I saw. It does look like it's in between a 3000-4000 reel size but perfect for what species I'm targeting (redfish/trout). Braid ready and looks awesome paired up with my Abu Garcia Vendetta 7ft spinning rod. Can't wait to test it out on the flats soon.

Was always sadden that Kastking did away with the Mela spinning reel. Was not sure I would like this model. Man was I wrong. This thing is better then the Mela and smooth as heck. I wanted a dedicated spinning set-up for crappies, bluegills and trout and the 1000 series is perfect. Going to load it up with some 8 lbs test braid and a 6 lb leader and be good to go.

Minnesota's ice is on the move, and I hope it moves out as smoothly as this reel from KastKing operates. I've only been able to take it out for a few dozens casts across the frozen tundra, but I'm already in love. (Granted, I didn't catch anything worth writing home about.) For decades my go-to reel has been an Abu Garcia, but I'm confident this KastKing is now king of the hill. The action is very smooth, retrieval is excellent and trouble free, and the appearance is stunning. Opening the box, I was struck with the solid feel of the product - I could tell from the first moment this was quality. It's apparent a lot of thought, fishing experience, and technical skill went into the creation of this piece of gear. I can't wait for ice-out to give it a real workout - but I have no doubt it will perform flawlessly.

This is a review for the 4000 size. I lined the reel with 45lb braid and plan to use this as an all purpose saltwater reel paired to a 8 ft medium-heavy rod. This is my initial review and will be updated after some longer tests with the reel in action.
Pros:
-Knurled metal spool makes it easy to spool on braid without needing to use any monofilament backing.
-Very smooth retrieve and instant anti-reverse.
-Strong and rigid construction (I've had other reels at this price point start deflecting when pulling in heavier catches and causing me to lose several keeper dungeness crabs from my crab snares)
-Carbon fiber drag system sounds promising (I am expecting something similar to the Penn HT-100 drag system)
-Handle is this grippy and dense foam that actually feels very comfortable. I suppose this could be a con depending on well the foam holds up over time.
Cons:
-The reel and spool size is smaller than other 4000 sized reels on the market (looks a bit closer to 3500 if that was a thing).

Ordered a size 1000 and straight out of the box the anti-reverse doesn't work. When engaged, it would sometimes catch, but in the end failed. Sent it back and ordered a replacement and will see what happens from there.

Spooled this up today and overall its a nice little reel. Immediately noticed that the handle is shorter than on similar sized shimano, daiwa, and other brand reels i have. The grip handle is great, but while reeling it feels toy-sized due to short radius of crank arm. It feels like its around 0.5-.75" shorter than a natural reeling motion would require. Its such a tight rotational movement that im not confident that I'll just get used to it, especially when switching from other combos that feel much more natural while reeling.

First impressions, solid construction and at the same time lightweight. Spooled it up with Kastking Mega8 braid on a 7 foot inshore rod, the reel operated so smooth and flawlessly. Took it out on my Kayak for a test run. Casting was great! I could comfortably pitch jigs all day with this reel, so lightweight but strong. Caught a couple specs, reel handled it perfectly. Wow for about $35.00 this is a very nice reel! Really sharp with the all black look and the handle and grip are comfortable. I got the 1000 for crappie fishing and might grab a 2000 for walleye. This reel feels comparable to a pfluger with how smooth it reels but at half the cost.
