Answer: Graphite

I can’t seem to reverse the handle on this reel. Any helpful hints?

Answer: Spin the handle backwards until it’s completely loose and then switch it

Answer: You need to hold the bail so it doesn't spin. I think it is reverse threaded so it doesn't loosen during use.

Heith Lewis : The part that hooks on the rod is plastic it's junk its not a lews part it's a phoney

It's not lews parts and very disappointed it twists when you catch a fish on it

I normally don't write reviews but I felt like I needed to with this reel to try and save someone else the headache I've gone through with this one. I would first like to say I did not purchase this reel through Amazon but felt like others should be aware of thus defect.I purchased this reel a month ago. On my first trip out fishing with it I hooked into a small bass and the reel body broke away from the foot. Thinking I must have gotten a faulty reel I exchange it for a new one. Fast forward 2 weeks later I'm out fishing again the new reel and it breaks in the same place the as the previous one. I was able to exchange the second broken one for a new one. I will not be using the 3rd one and don't not recommend this particular reel to anyone.

Johnny : Great reel but there is a better alternative...

This reel is good no doubt about it used it to reel in 7 1.5/3 lb lm bass on a Fav white bird 7.3 MH rod BUT!.... it feels cheap as crap and it looks cheap as crap and the drag was iffy for me sometimes if your a diehard lews fanboy it's fine but if you want a better reel for even less than this get the Pflueger President non xt and you will be more than happy just to clarify this IS A GOOD REEL just not as good as the Pflueger President which is 10$ cheaper nuff said
