Answer: Graphite

I can’t seem to reverse the handle on this reel. Any helpful hints?

Answer: Spin the handle backwards until it’s completely loose and then switch it

Answer: You need to hold the bail so it doesn't spin. I think it is reverse threaded so it doesn't loosen during use.

Blake : Very smooth

Got this for my dad for Father’s Day because I was tired of him using old 3 ball bearing spinning reels for pan fishing. He paired it with St. Croix triumph 7’ medium light/ fast rod and loves it. Uses it mainly for crappie and bluegill. Is extremely smooth and has a great drag system. He has been able to land even a few pike that bite the crappie jig on 6lb test line with no leader.

Heith Lewis : The part that hooks on the rod is plastic it's junk its not a lews part it's a phoney

It's not lews parts and very disappointed it twists when you catch a fish on it

Now this is magnetic bliss. These guys can retire on my family. My son got this first, and then he bragged and bragged about the quality and how smooth it was. He said he casted further than with any other reel he had ever used. We all thought he was putting on, you know building it up for show a little bit.
Well let me tell you what, this is the smoothest casting , most perfect working reel I've used two. Amazing job here guys. Lew's Team did their thing on this one. We even bought my son's girl friend one. Then went and got them both the slightly smaller one for trout. But I didn't want to be left out myself, so I have a little one too now. Three of us, six of the reels. That's about the just of it. We live these things. .... Get a few of them

I normally don't write reviews but I felt like I needed to with this reel to try and save someone else the headache I've gone through with this one. I would first like to say I did not purchase this reel through Amazon but felt like others should be aware of thus defect.I purchased this reel a month ago. On my first trip out fishing with it I hooked into a small bass and the reel body broke away from the foot. Thinking I must have gotten a faulty reel I exchange it for a new one. Fast forward 2 weeks later I'm out fishing again the new reel and it breaks in the same place the as the previous one. I was able to exchange the second broken one for a new one. I will not be using the 3rd one and don't not recommend this particular reel to anyone.
