The AMERICAN MADE, AMS Retriever TNT bowfishing reel was created for more speed. It’s based off the original Retiever Pro bowfishing reel - the design that has proven itself over 40 years! The TNT retrieves 27” of line per crank by utilizing a larger brass gear to increase the gear ratio. It’s durable, reliable and it performs! And, it’s simple to use. There are no buttons to push before the shot. Unlike most other reels, Retrievers are always ready to shoot. Just draw and shoot!
Zero Drag - The line is stacked in a bottle rather than wound on a drum or spool so there is no drag on the line when it’s shot. The line freely spools out of the bottle on the shot and on the retrieve just stacks right back in.
Heavy-Duty Construction - Retrievers can take the abuse of bowfishing and will stand the test of time! Machined brass gears, stainless steel hardware and lightweight, corrosion resistant housing ensure long life in fresh or saltwater.
Quick-Release Quiver Mount – The Retriever TNT Mounts to your bows sight holes. One t-screw controls 4-way movement of the reel and also allows for quick removal. An arrow quiver is also integrated into this mount.

Sooo fergive me im new. Iz this all i need to get started??...i mean besides a rest, and i guess a sight???...i got a set of fishing arrows

Answer: As long as you have the bow and arrows this is all you will need to hit the water!

Can this reel work with any 200lb Bowfishing line?

Answer: I believe so i use several different types of lines on them

Does it come with screws to mount it to your bow??

Answer: Yes it comes with the mounting screws.

Answer: Yes remove your sight pin bracket and put it on the same bolt orientation. If you are putting on a new bow the skins some bows have can block the hole openings just be patient and clean it out of the threads

Can this reel mount to a Barnett vortex compound bow ?

Answer: Yes, the Retriever TNT can be mounted to this bow using the sight holes in the riser.

Will this work on a 70# bow? (mine's a hoyt powermax)

Answer: Yes it should work great with your bow, this Retriever mounts using the site holes on your bow.

Does it have a brake or lock? Or do you have to hold the lever?

Answer: It does not have a lock, you do need to hold the trigger to retriever and that also can work as a drag.

Will it work on a cross bow?

Answer: The AMS Retriever TNT can be mounted directly to 99% of crossbows using our Sleek-X crossbow mount. However, if your crossbow contains a picatinny rail where the quiver mounts to the bow, our picatinny rail adapter will be required as well for this Retriever to mount correctly.

Answer: Most bow riser's have predrilled holes to accept quivers and sights which this is designed to fit. I don't think a crossbow would be ready to accept it without some modifications.

Answer: This will work on any bow. It mounts to the sight holes in the riser.

Can you use this on a left handed bowfishing rig?

Answer: left handed bow needs a left hand reel right handed bow needs a right hand reel

Answer: There is a Right Hand and Left Hand model available, be sure to order the correct one that you need.

Can you still use a sight with this reel or do you have to take the sights off to mount this?

Answer: You can use a most sight's with this reel. Most sights have a "quiver" mount that allows the reel to be mounted over the sight. If you do this, you will likely need to bend the trigger slightly toward your bow hand to make it easier to reach it. If the sight you are using has those quiver mount holes, it should work with your sight.

Answer: I have 2 bows and I had to take sights off of both. It’s not hard without sights if the fish is deep aim a bit in front of the fish and for a shallow fish point right at it.

Answer: You don’t want a site imho. Most shots are close and fast and a site is gonna cause you tangle problems.
