Can I use it for saltwater surf?

Answer: No, the reel is way to small

Answer: You can catch fish with it on the surf if you know what you're doing

Answer: Not that it's made for it but yes you can. I have caught many large corbina and spotfin croakers with it with 4lbs line. It take some finesse and skill but it makes for a long and super fun fight. I've actually really takin to ultralight surf fishing.

What is the roller clutch and what does it do

Answer: I have three of the Shimano FX reels and I would purchase them again. The wrath seems like a nice reel as well but I cant speak for it personally. I would replace my FX with another if that helps you. Its not a light reel but it has power and has been reliable for me.

How do you activate the anti-reverse? I can’t find the switch.

Answer: I recently purchased an F X25 100 HG rod and Rio combought in real combo and cannot find the anti reverse switch on the real either. The info tag that came on the rod and real says it says it has a instant anti reverse whatever that means. I cannot stop the reel handle from turning in both directions so I don't know how this is automatic anti reverse works.

Answer: There is a little switch on the bottom of the reel. Hope this helps.

Shimano un nome una garanzia. Da sempre possessore di mulinelli shimano, ne ho acquistati due (uno per me ed uno per un mio amico) e posso confermare che anche questo mulinello seppur economico, si presta davvero bene sia per la pesca spinning ma anche per la pesca a ledgering medio-leggero.
Consigliato anche per chi è agli inizi ma vuole un mulinello affidabile con poca spesa.

Buen carrete para principiantes y para la practica de la pesca como hobbie, es pequeño, ligero, con un paso de bobina aceptable, de giro suave debido al gran número de rodamientos y sobre todo con la fiabilidad que da una marca puntera como esta.
La fijación a la caña es excelente quedando perfectamente acoplado y sin moverse absolutamente nada.
Lo mejor es el precio, muy ajustado para las prestaciones obtenidas.

La relación calidad precio es bastante buena.

Puntos a favor:

Maybe the best reel I have. Mounted on 6’6” ultra light. Smooth as glass and solid as a rock. Literally instant reverse, no play at all. Like that the anti-reverse switch is nearer the right side rather than centered. I set up all my spinning reels with the handle on the right side (lefty). Never understood why handle is on right side for bait casting or spin casting reels, but not for spinning reels.

Qualitativ sehr hochwertige und vorallem kleine Rolle.
Ich war auf der suche nach einer kleinen Rolle für wenig Geld und bin auf diese hier gestoßen.
Bei so vielen Rollen verliert man schnell den Überblick doch bei dieser hier kann man definitiv nichts falsch machen.
Die Anzahl an Kugellager ist nicht so wichtig wie es vielleicht andere Hersteller sagen sondern vielmehr die Qualität und die Verarbeitung.
Für meinen Schweden Urlaub ist sie perfekt.
0.18 Geflochtene Schnur habe ich circa 80-90 Meter drauf bekommen, es war noch etwas Schnur übrig auf der 100m Spule.
Die Rolle ist jeden Cent Wert.
Absolute Kaufempfehlung !

I own two Shimano Sienna reels which I really like. They are super smooth. This reel costs the same as my Siennas, but is nowhere near as smooth. There are all kinds of clicks and thumps as the rotor is turning. This is not the quality I expected from Shimano. I have to wonder if I got a counterfeit reel.
