I dont fish flukes alot. But i do fish them some. I dont have alot of colors. Whats your favorite fluke color?
Albino and baby bass
green
moccasin blue
Pearl white
White(pearl) then black.
pro blue red pearl, disco violet or just plain old white
White Ice & Watermelon Slice
Okay thanks! I will try these colors next time im out on the water!
There are about 20 colors ...keep them simple .1 dark 1 with a mix and white that will do it if not you will have 10 bags of every color and get stumped (dont ask me how i know) all i know now is basic is all i need
Arkansas Shiner is all I need, love that color and have loads of confidence in it.
White ice for me!
White and watermelon seed.
bubblegum.. its the only color that i have success with.
Tenn. Shad and Pumpkin.
Black. If you haven't tried it you need to. I was skeptical at first but now it is about the only color I use.
how do yall fish it?
weightless? slow retrieve with twitches?
Pearl, watermelon red flake, bubblegum
Arkansas Shiner,Wal-Mart just had a big Zoom sale 1.25 a bag bought alot of them.
Baby bass for me.
white then arkansas shiner for me
Best all around is white. Catch a lot on baby bass, and watermelon/red pearl though.
The best fluke color is the one I don't have to fish, I have a serious disdain for fishing them. If I'm about out of hope and resorted to a fluke, there's a good chance it's Albino, or Arkansas Shiner though.
White, watermelon with black and silver flake.
Pink, unless the water is fairly clear then I use Ark Shiner.

this...even the stripers at smith mountain lake love them on a jig head...
They make them in colors besides albino and pearl white? I use albino in really clear water and pearl white any other time.
Now I do want to try some in GP and solid black but have not seen them. Does Zoom even make those colors?

+1 ... These two colors would take you a long way in clear water - if your water has some stain to it OR on an overcast day , a 3rd color in Pearl would be a very good addition . *To decrease your learning curve google : "How To Fish A Fluke" ? ...by flukemaster ... Very good videos - you should enjoy ...
DShads in Pearl White, Blue Pearl and..........................
YUM Houdini Shad in Arkansas Shiner, Pearl White, and Watermelon Red Flake.
They're a very sweet little fluke that can be modified. Uncut, they have a slow fall and the tail waves side to side. It's pretty slick and damned productive. If you remove the center section, it falls faster. Finally, you can cut the point at the end for the usual split tail of the ZOOM fluke.
I just wish they offered them in a magnum size as well as a smaller offering.
It's a tie.
Silver and green pumpkin with the tail dipped on a lime color.
White and pink.....yes pink
Baby bass
White

I really like Disco Shad a lot and anything that’s smoke with purple fleck catches for me. Also Arkansas Shiner and pearl white in flukes and KVD Magic for largemouth and Siren (bright chartreuse) for small mouth in the Strike King caffeine shad do really well. They are heavier and have a nice shimmy when they sink.
White, Chartreuse and light shad mimicking colors for me.

Hey Allen,
Try to find on the Internet the following site:
http://virginiaguidebaitco.com/
Check out Catalogs Standard List and look for the #15 flukes and the Smokin' Shad Fluke color.
Then check out Special Runs catalog and look for #15 in Silver Rainbow and Blue Pearl Silver.
You can call Fred or Judy and place an order for anything in their catalogs and special runs.
Merry Christmas!
Like most other lures, I go with:
Something dark: Red Shad or Green Pumpkin
Something Natural: Baby Bass or Arkansas Shiner
Something loud: White or Pink.
I think most colors work most times though.
I don't use flukes as much as I should. When I do use them I seem to have my best luck on the smokin shad color. Occasionally I catch one on the pearl white color.
