So at Dicks and Cabelas I'm noticing diminishing prices for pline, with no added stock. They revamping their CX line or they dropping like my Gamma did?
I noticed the same thing. Boy i sure hope they don't stop making cx...
CXX is some darn good stuff landed a 15#+ gar on 6# hope its not disappearing
I've TERRIBLE experiences with CX. CXX on the other hand....
Don't know. But if you head out in the next few days hit up all the Dick's in the area and pick me up some 6 Lb clear fluro. All we have now is 8 and 10 and Stren is just meh....
I've used CX but loved CXX so I'm with Hookingem hope it's not disappearing.
I just sent a comment/question to PLine. We'll see.
Looks like they may be setting up new tooling for C21 and expanding their Halo market.

Care to elaborate? I'd like to know

CXX is pretty good line. I prefer flouro now but it's good for lipless cranks and spinnerbaits.
That gar was in the 8-9 pound range, if that.
Have never used CX but I have been using CXX for a couple years and I haven't had any issues.
I've made up my mind to stick with straight flouro or pure mono and stay away from the co polymers.
Mono for topwater and flouro or braid for everything else.
Not a fan of either lines, but I will say CXX is STRONG!
Oh and for the record you can pull a truck with cxx but I cant get pass the memory issue. 100% flouro has less memory then cxx.

100 % agree.
I can't stand CX, I bought about 4 spools cause it was on sale and hate it. If you want a good hybrid line go with Yo-Zuri Hybrid, I use it for my crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and jigs and it works wonderfully. It has way less memory than the p line and I think it's tougher too. I used strictly mono until last year and I didn't want to go straight to fluoro so I tried the hybrid but next season I'm switching out all my line for pure fluro except for my top water rig and braid for punching.
Cxx makes great leader material. Stands up to coral rock pretty well.
For me the issue with any " clear " line is how it manages, not the strength. I have caught many good sized fish on the cheapest of clear lines. My last picture post of a larger fish was my reef shark, about 7' long caught on 20# mono /40 lb mono leader. Cxx didn't cut it for me in the management area, returned the spool to P line and they sent me back 2 spools of floroclear, which is pretty good and trilene xl doesn't let me down.
The stuff is pretty nice for moving baits because the stretch is a good shock absorber and the memory gets pulled out pretty fast.
P-Line is very popular in my area with salmon and steelhead anglers because of it's strength. I gave it a fair test a couple of years ago and did not find it supple enough for my taste. It is strong but stiff. Izorline is in the same boat. Good strong line, great knot strength but stiff. I'm still a big fan of Yo-Zuri. Why the markdown and reduction of stock is a mystery to me.
I may have to stock up on some more P-line CXX in 6# test. It's all I use on my spinning set ups.
I bought a 300yrd spool of 12lb. CX at dicks a month ago for $3 and it was the worst line I have ever used..... I don't know if they sold me stale line or what

It's just the CX, not the CXX
I have never had any luck with CX or CXX
Hmmm....I'm shocked to hear all the negative opinions of CX. I freakin' love that stuff. Thin, strong, and VERY manageable.
I concur with those who mention terrible line management issues with CXX. Doesn't matter to me that I can pull up a stump off the bottom when I can't cast without loops.
My two biggest fish were caught on CXX so I cannot complain about that line.
I anybody want to add a comparison , cxx vs fluoroclear ?
I also used CXX and it was decent just too stiff for me.
I'm a bit disappointed, it's been 2 weeks since an email got shot out to PLine without any reply.
