What is everyone’s favorite fluorocarbon? I’ve been using vicious 12# for the past couple of years and have had good luck with it but I’m looking to try something different.
Tatsu is the top of the food chain for me and inviszx close behind.
On a side note, welcome aboard.

Tatsu followed by Invizx.
I have switched from fluro to Yo Zuri hybrid.
Sunline Sniper or Shooter depending on what I'm doing.
Mike
Thanks everyone. I think I might give the Invizx a try. I’ve been reading that a lot of people can’t tell much of a difference between the Invizx and the Red Label. Thoughts on that?
Gamma Edge.
The choice of many pros.

I've read that it's hard to tell the difference in abrazx and red label. Invizx is very supple and easy handling. Also has a good amount of stretch. Red label is great for the price but I think invizx is definitely a better choice. I just ordered some sunline assassin will review after time in the water
Tatsu
Seaguar (Tatsu and InvizX) and Toray handles about everything for me.
Guess I'll be the oddball Berkley trilene 100% fluro for me in 17lb test
I only use tatsu
Tried a bunch but ended with Sunline Sniper. It is strong plus thinnest per # test.

Works for me too. I’ve also used BPS xps fluoro the last couple of years and it seems to work well for me, everything from 12 lb up to 20.
P-line 100%. Almost identical to sniper but a better value. I also like sniper.

^^ This ^^ Plus I really like Seaguar's Fluoro Flippin' line too!
P-line tacticle. Casts great and is strong.
So many good ones out there! I use Viscous, Abrazx, Seaguar flippin and P-LINE ultimate.
I like hybrids over straight Fluoro. The knot strength is everything and hybrids excel in this area.
For low price and quality my favorite hybrid is Kastking Fluorokote.
Seagar Invizx

When you compare FC line it's important to do it by line diameter in lieu of lb test.
To the best of my knowledge Vicious doesn't make FC line in old DuPont Louisiana facility, they import from someone else. 12 lb Vicious FC is .0133 dia., equal to Sunline 16 lb for example.

P-Line.
I use the Silver Thread fluro and have for years.....no complaints at all and the price is reasonable. I've gone to almost all braid on all my reels so am mainly using for leaders.....it has done well. Have caught a ton of big fish on the six....
I'm sure tatsu is better, but I'm totally satisfied with sunline sniper.
Invizx felt great to me but I was sort of disappointed. Felt weaker than red label and seemed to backlash more. But since it is thinner than red label you can size up the line with no diameter change. I love it for cranking and spinnerbaits but not for flipping or jigs, which I throw most.
I really liked the Berkley 100%. I get to fish 5-6 times a week and I had to change the red label once a week and the invizx lasted longer but still died pretty quick. I got the berkley and put on some KVD line condition and had line last a month and a half on my most used rods.
@thinkingredneck can you elaborate on why you prefer the YoZuri?
I have been using it for the past couple of years after reading posts by Roadwarrior, but have to admit I use braid and mono more. I also use it as a leader when using braid.
I have considered switching the other way to floro, so I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on the comparison.
I like the knot strength I get with YoZuri. I don't dislike it, but it is a little on the stiff side for me.
P-Line Tactical, I’m guessing once I start using it Subline sniper will be a close second.
I like Seaguar Red Label. However I don’t have a lot of experience with other brands. I can get 200 yards for $11. That seems like a pretty good price and I have never had any problems with it.

Walmart closes red label out during the winter for 5 dollars a spool near me. Thats very cost effective and my fishing buddy wipes them out.
I haves used invisx and although it is good there is too much stretch for my liking. Sunline sniper gets my vote when considering value for the money.
Welcome aboard!
I can only speak to what I've used, thus for me,
Gamma Edge. Have used Red Label, BPS, and some
Berkeley ...

That’s good to know. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to keep an eye out.
The Edge may be the best kept secret out there. Tried some last year, and I could easily go "all-in" with it.

Yeah, it's really good strength-to-diameter ratio. I've been very
impressed with it so far in 6, 8, and 10.
I have tried Tatsu, Sniper, and Invisx. But I use Red Label. I can get a 1,000 yd spool for under $50. While those other lines are great lines, I didn't notice such an advantage to justify the extra cost. I fish A LOT. Fun fishing and tournaments. I will go through a couple 1,000 yd spools of fluoro a year. I just can't afford to do that with those more expensive ones. Also, KVD line an lure conditioner is a must.
Seaguar is my weapon of choice.
P-line 100%
Hola DBC32 and welcome to Bass Resource! My favorite fluorocarbon? Vanilla Bean followed closely by Butter Pecan... (Seriously though, as you've already seen you will get a variety of answers. Just like you would if you asked for everyone's favorite ice cream flavor!)
I use 10# fluorocarbon on a baitcaster and have tried a bunch of different ones and none have been perfect, but none have been horrible either. I'm currently using Seaguar Red Label because for $11/200yd spool at Walmart it's really pretty good! Only thing I don't like is it's not very abrasion resistant. I found Invizx to be stretchier than Red Label and didn't like it as well. Abrazx was more abrasion resistant but didn't handle as well as Red Label. Sunline Sniper gave me odd random break-offs (bad spool?). Gander Mountain brand was too thick in 10# and didn't handle as well.
So for now it's Red Label. I only use about 100 yards a month so it's very cost effective. But I'm VERY curious to try Tatsu, just haven't been able to click the "Place Order" button yet........
For general purpose casting, I've been using 15# Invisx. On my vertical drop shot rods, I have 6# Tatsu. For cranking, and finesse casting 10# Tatsu. For leader material Seaguar blue label.
I no longer use FC line after 25 years of use do to knot failures and cost of respooling line often weakening from use/stretch.
Gamma Edge is the same price per 200yds as Seaguar Tatsu @ $40, it's also .002 larger in diameter per lb test than Tatsu, Sunline Sniper and Silver Thread. Silver Thread is .001 larger from 10 to 14 test then Seaguar and Sunline, $18.50 per 200 yards.
Diameter matters with memory issues, the larger it is the more memory and casting issue it has.
Always compare line lb test to it's diameter if you want to compare apples to apples.

All I use is Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon.
Seaguar InvisX is the best I have used so far. But it is almost always sold out so I end up getting Trilene 100% and its works fine for me. I plan on giving P-Line a shot this year just to try something new. I have heard so much about Tatsu but I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money.

Keep in mind that Berkley Trilene 100 FC and P-Line FC are both .002 larger dia per lb test then Seaguar and Sunline, or put another way 10 lb Trilene /P-line is the same dia as 12 lb to 14 lb Seaguar / Sunline FC.
I got to get off my soap box on this topic as know one seems to get it.
Peace!

I looked it up and I am quite impressed with the diameters for Sunline. Now my question to you is which Sunline flourocarbon should I use since it would used for a main line for traps, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits, and cranks?
Sunline Sniper is their most popular FC, Shooter is a little stronger per lb test.
Tom
I usually spool up with Seaguar Invisx.
I tried Tatsu once and snagged a tree behind me on my first time out with it and the bird's nest was so bad I had to cut out the whole spool. That's $50 for a 200 yard spool of Tatsu. I was stomping and cursing. And, honestly, I can't tell the difference between Tatsu and Invisx. Tatsu is so costly that you can end up worrying about it when you're supposed to be out fishing for fun. Or maybe you'll be reluctant to re-spool it when you should. So I won't buy it again. Same for Gamma Edge and some other super pricey lines. (I always wonder what the cost of manufacturing that stuff is -- probably 10 cents per mile.) Braid is expensive, too, but at least it'll last a couple of seasons.
Tatsu is #1 for me. I wish they made the Flipping Fluoro in something lighter than 20lb but I do use it on a couple rods too. Gamma Edge is really nice line and super strong too.
I use both sniper and Invisix. Usually only on bottom contact rods and on leaders for spinning setups. I have switched to copolly for all my reaction bait setups.
