Some reason i cannot find these anymore......If anyone has and wants to sell/trade let me know....The bluegill they make now is the second picture....I am looking for this one. in the first picture......There is distinct powder blue on top(which the new one does not have....the blue is more silver darker blue on the newer one...) and the orange belly is much smaller on the newer one...I know this sounds insane, but I love the older ones....maybe they discontinued because I've either ordered from a few places and they shipped the newer ones, and I checked many various websites as well with no luck....LMK what you have if so...I am looking in the 1.5 and 2.5 size...would like to get 5 of each........thanks....either reply or message me....

Someone told me that colour was a glitch by SK. I tried emailing SK few times about it and they didn't reply to me. I caught my PB on the rattling version of that colour I bought from BPS. Sucks that they no longer make this colour, I would gladly pay more then full price for the rattling version.

I do have a few silent versions that has never been used/new in pack and would trade you 1 for 1 + cash on my end if you have any rattling versions you can let go. New or used is fine.

I think they've just been phased out. The ones I was getting in the beginning looked like pic 1 but any after that are like pic 2. This has been a year ago it maybe a little longer.

Rapala did the same thing with a xrap I love they changed the purple color and added full orange strip instead of a touch of orange. The new ones suck, have much better luck with the older ones. I found some in the older color pattern on ebay.... I'll keep my eye out at the local tackle shops for you.

Unfortunately, you're right..I rememner specifically buying the ones i had last spring(2012) at Dicks....I even put in an order w/ Dicks and recieved it, and it was the newer one even though on their website it still shows the one I wanted,not what is pictured on the website........I also also contacted Strike King directly about this and sent back one that I had with a broken bill for replacement, and even after speaking with them on the phone about it and making them aware of it, they sent me back replacements like in pic # 2......I'll keep my search on for them....they will eventuall show up...In the meantime, the Rapala DT-6 in bluegill is a great producer....and readily available....

Hey, I have a few tackle shops around here, and a few Walmarts also. Might get lucky and find some. You want 1.5 and 2.5 sizes in square bill, right? It's the color that looks like bluegill WITHOUT the black gill spot, right? The paint looks more solid instead of translucent, right? I'll take a look and see what I can find here. There are three tackle stores here that are not big box stores, so stock doesn't rotate nearly as often, meaning there could be a chance I would find the older color. If you would, PM me your cell number and I can call or text you what I find. Maybe text a picture even.

I ordered 5 of them and was sent the newer one...Had to return them as I have no use for the newer ones....they do not produce like the older ones but thank you for offering to help...I've tried EVERYTHING.......believe me, I get obsessive compulsive about stuff like this.....lol

I understand this color gives you confidence, but I dont believe one color over the other would produce significantly better. It appears from the pics the only difference is the color of the blue and the orange splash. The orange splash may be the key and that can easily be added with a sharpie marker. I would prefer the newer with the sunfish ear marking

I rotated between the 2 colours for an entire season and the old colour produces better for me, so I do have more confidence with it. The two colours are different. Not only from the blue/orange splash, it has a lighter belly and green sides. I added the sunfish ear markings with a Sharpie. I think it works better for me because it looks like a perch. Sorry, can't help you out Mitch. They are precious to me too and would only trade for the "rattling" versions.

I must be the only guy who likes the version you don't like Mitch, but a couple 6lbers, and more 5's than I can count kind of sway me that way LOL. I just checked my stash of bluegill KVD's and they are all the color I prefer, but if I see any at the local stores I will buy them up and set them aside for you. I am very aware of the two different colors, and actually avoided buying the ones that were painted in the pattern you like.........had I known.............oh well.

I have the 2.5 square bill and series 5 regular crank in that color. My local dicks has 4 series 4 cranks and 1 of the 2.5 square bill left in the color you're looking for.

I would have no problem if they were the right ones, but they aren't.....I've called that seller and he told me he uses stock photos, not photos of the actual item and he had the newer version......Thanks......This has turned into something similar to Indiana Jones over this lure...LOL
