On the off chance that someone has a readable physical copy of Knowing Bass for sale, please PM me!
I'm having a hard time finding a copy.

I've been trying to find a copy of this book as well. Prices are ridiculous online.
I have a copy & have read it 3 times. It's a hard read but the knowledge that you gain is well worth the read.

How much did you pay for it? The prices online now are crazy.
My sister gave it to me for a Christmas gift several years ago.
I bit the bullet and paid about $100 for mine on Amazon about a year ago. Sorry, but I have no intention sell it as it is a great source of information.
I hate to be "that guy" but I paid $11.41 for mine, new from Amazon, but it was back in 2012 :). I guess I got in ahead of the crazy price wars - looking at the price history it started climbing in 2013 for whatever reason. A very good book - as already stated, a very dry read, but worth studying. I try to re-read parts every season.
Surprised there’s not a digital copy floating around.

There is, but when I made this thread I was hoping for a physical copy. It's just not the same. I realize now that it's way overpriced though

Do you know how to get the digital copy?
I would love a digital copy.

I sent him a message on here last week because I know he had one but never got a response.
There is a bit of a collectors market for this book now. There is a .pdf copy of it floating around, does anyone have a copy? I'd be willing to mirror it for the public.
This book is impossible to find.

I finally found a copy of the book at a library. The problem is it’s over 4 hours away and they won’t sell it to me or loan it to my library.
I searched for well over a year for this book. I wasn't going to pay the insane asking prices. Finally found it in the UK and with shipping it ran be $11-15 (can't remember) and it was a hardcover. Major score for me....
Got something today through interlibrary loan!

I think that’s what I’m going to do as well. I’ve found a few libraries that have it that I can get through the loan system. I suppose that will have to do. I prefer to own it though.

Maybe if a few digital copies start showing up on the web the price to own the book will come down.

I thought of getting it from the library and making a digital copy but my wife told me not to.

????♀️
I contacted the library in Spirit Lake about getting the book from them. They asked why there was such a demand. After letting them know about how hard it is to find they said they contacted the author about reprinting the book and making it more available again. Hope it happens.
So we're clear, making and distributing a digital copy of the book violates copyright laws.

Peer to peer....
I just don't know why just about every time I check out a book that is out of print someone breaks into my car, I hate having to pay MSRP.
Of course one could do a Nicholas Cage out of the Lincoln Reading room, hypothetically of course...

I believe so. That's why my wife told me not to do it. She's an English teacher so I think she felt she had to tell me that. I don't see why it's such a big deal when a book is no longer being printed and the secondary market is the only place you can find it.
It would be great if they could turn it into an eBook. That way the author and publisher continue to make money off of sales and you get rid of the crazy prices of the physical books from secondary markets.

I believe you meant she told you NOT to do it. Unless you're saying your English teacher wife told you to commit a crime. I'm sure shed be happy with you! ????????
I agree, an eBook would be great, but copyright is there, even if it's out of print for the life of the author plus 70 years.

I've noticed it ocurring more and more, where someone omits the negative and everyone under 40 ignores and assumes the opposite.

Oops. I went back and fixed it.

Over 3.5 billion people under 40...glad to see the website traffic is picking up.
