Q:
I bought my baitcaster august of last year it says it has a manufacture warranty of one year how would i claim it breaking system broken
Answer: You need to contact the company of the baitcaster and file a repair request. They will ask you to give them the proof of purchase. You can probably send them the purchase details from Amazon. You can choose PDF format when you print it. You can send them the PDF as proof of purchase.
Q:
I purchased one of the reels and the drag does not work what can i do?
Answer: Tighten the star shaped device on the right side of the reel.
Q:
Can be use in salt water?
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does it handle braided line? If so, what weight test range?
Answer: i have 30lbs braid on it right now and it works good
Answer: No more than 20lbs
Q:
anyone else find that the ant ireverse isnt great? Mine turns in reverse a little bit before stopping...
Answer: I have tried three of these and I sent them all back. Too many problems with them. Most of the issues have to do with two things. The first is the cheap frame which flexes when you try to fight a large strong fish. The second is the cheap main gear which gives out too quickly.
Q:
where is handle position?right hand or left hand?
Answer: The company provides both left and right retrieve handles. You specify right or left when you place your order.
Q:
does this reel reverse or is it one way rotation ?
Answer: One way
Q:
what weight mono should i get for this?
Answer: I have 15lb test mono on mine at the moment, and it works great.
Q:
Has the website changed where product manuals can be found? The address included in the box with the reel does not exist.
Q:
My side plate feel off while casting . I need a replacement. The side with magnets feel overboard?
Q:
What is the lever for
Answer: If you push it . It will release the side with magnets allowing removal of spool. It can also be pushed accidently causing it to fly apart while fishing. And be lost overboard. I know this because it happened to me!
Q:
Is this saltwater reel?
Answer: No--
Q:
So Cadence fishing is now Tempo? Products are exactly the same?
Answer: I am not sure. I know the Tempo website no longer works. I purchased a Tempo bait caster and I can say for the money, it is nice. Paired with a 6’6 medium, fast action rod, hauls in 5-10lb salt water fish and makes it fun. Good deal.
Q:
Does the drag adjustment click on this reel?
Answer: No it does not , even tho , this is one of the smoothest casting reel I've got .
Q:
Can’t access the website to obtain the manual is there another website other than the one that’s on the box?
Answer: Not that I know of. Functions like most every other bait caster. YouTube it.
Q:
Tienes el reel mano izquierda? en una de las opiniones dice que no lo tienen.
Q:
Soon got the reel to cast out after turning knob just a tiny bit but now the line is all loose and messy. Is there a fix for this?
Q:
What is the line capacity?
Answer: Depends on the line weight capacity 20-30 lb test line will be about 100 yards. Smaller test weight will give you more line in the spool.
Q:
How many magnetic brakes does this reel have?
Answer: 5 tiny magnets
Q:
Where can I get replacement Parts?
Q:
Do you make a left handed retrieve reel? the option is listed above, but i was unsuccessful at ever getting one, 5 attempts in a row.
Answer: Yes, they have left handed reels
Q:
When I throw this out it only goes out about 3-4 feet. Any tips on how to get it to cast out farther?
Answer: On right side of the real, there is an adjustment which applies friction to the spool when casting. Turn counter clock wise to loosen. This will enable a further cast.
Q:
what is the body made of?
Answer: I am thinking aluminum it is light weight
Answer: Aluminum
Answer: Aluminum
Q:
Does this come with line?
Answer: No, you have to supply your own.
Q:
Can this reel hold 20 or 30 pound mono? If so how many yards of them will it hold?
Answer: 100 yards
Q:
Will it do well with a 30lb braided line?
Answer: Ted Chau - Incorrect! Drag is rated for 20lbs. (check product specs.). I'd use no more than 30 lb. braid line and consider replacing/upgrading the drag washers with carbon fiber washers (shouldn't be that hard).
Answer: That's what I put on it out of the box work's good use it for all my top water 12# p-line leader for worm soft plastics pre spooled 30#mono first hope this helps going tonight
Answer: Yes, buy not needed since the drag only for 10lbs or leas
Q:
I can't locate the website to find a manual. Where can i find a manual?
Answer: Not a clue sorry
Q:
I can't get on their website to get a manual. I tried tempofishing.com. Any ideas?
Answer: No sorry.
Product reviews of Tempo Vertix LP, High-Tech Innovative Baitcasting Reel, 9 + 1 BB, Low Profile & Lightweight, Powerful & Durable, 6.6:1 Gear Ratio, Great Value!
B-MAN : She’s a screamer
Casts as well as expected. Looks good. Price was good. How long will it last unknown. Operation is smooth as any in this price range perhaps a bit better. But...it makes a high pitched “scream” when you cast. Tried various lubricants but it still calls out! Can’t figure this one out.
Bryan F. : great reel
cast far even with lightweight baits
Thomas Brent Vahle : Loud Reel
Great out of the box. Reels smooth. However it makes a terrible whining sound when casting. Almost sounds like a bearing issue. Comes and goes but is intolerable. Can’t return it, so unfortunately I’m out the $$. Had it about a month and used it 3 times.
S. Rivera : Not as good as I initially thought. Also, careful with used items sold as new.
I got this just to have an extra rod and reel kicking around as backup. Did not want to spend too much money. I wonder how it will hold in the long run. For the $$ you can't go wrong (I hope). I have 30lb braided line on right now. Not comparable to a $200 reel but, so far, better than others at the same price point. I might just have to get another one. Update: Just got two more of these. I put 20lb Spider Wire on the new ones and they pair up good. Just don't bang it around too much because they are probably not as tough built as Abu Garcia reels. Nevertheless, if you take care of them, they should last a long time. Clean them, oil them and grease them regularly and you should be good. I also have some high end Lew's and Abu Garcia reels but I am happy with these just as much. WARNING.... Bought another one and it turned out to be used. They tried to sell it to me as a new item. I returned it immediately. Update: I had to edit my review and change my rating to three stars. Unfortunately, I had to send all the reels back. They lost their performance fairly quickly after fighting some moderately strong bass. The frame ends up flexing and the gears are now grinding. Making a baitcaster that last the passage of time in moderate use is not as easy as just making a good looking reel. The materials are very important. If you use cheap materials, then it will show after using the reel a little bit. I will purchase Piscifun reels from now on. Those are made with excellent materials.
Yabin : Five stars
It is vey smooth and light when you fishing . Used for many times still work well. Good quality and price
Amazon Customer : Wow what a piece of junk
Where to begin. Some of these have been shared by others, some not. But here it is.
1) Reel screams when casting as others said. Tried the 'grease trick' some mentioned here. No dice. 2) The drag is nowhere NEAR the rating. It's extremely weak. 3) Cast control knob is not precise at all 4) The pawl does not apply line evenly. Hangs at the left side.
Maybe I just got a bad one... where.. they messed just about everything up. But boy.. it was bad.

Emerson : Do not buy
Makes a loud sound when you cast
Karl Hubert : Frugal Fishing
I hadn't put a line in the water for over a decade, but with travel restrictions due to The 'Rona really tweaking my nerves, I figured why not get out of the house for a dangle. So I picked this little reel up, as well as some braided line, a casting rod, some lures, and a new tackle box, and I headed to a local reservoir.
Now I grew up fishing fresh and salt water in Maryland (and Delaware and Virginia) and was forever warned to avoid baitcasters because of bird's nests, so this was my first time with a baitcaster. Yes, I put too much line on the reel. Yes, I had no idea how to adjust the braking systems. And yes, I had around a dozen backlashes and the wildlife within earshot learned some new swear words. However, once I removed 20 yards of line and started using my thumb to manage the speed of the reel, my casts went from 20' to easily 75-80' away - not bad for having been a decade without practice. And I even managed to entice a yellow perch or two to hit my jig, but the hook I had was way too big for them.
Once I got home, I swallowed my pride, went onto YouTube to watch some tutorials, and then went outside and practiced what I had learned in my backyard. Now I've got a far better idea on the braking systems in play and managed to tune the reel to my lure so I won't spend half of my next angling excursion untangling line and lamenting the loss of my old gear. Okay, enough storytime...
The reel itself is sturdy yet super light, looks quite sleek and stylish, and the controls were easy to master once I'd gotten guidance. So please learn from my mistake and read the manual or at least poke around online to find a tutorial, assuming this is your first baitcaster. The pricepoint is ridiculously cheap, considering the big names I grew up with (Shimano, Daiwa, Abu Garcia, etc.) all have reels ranging anywhere from $50 to $300+. And for being half the price (or less) of an entry level baitcaster from any of those other companies, this little reel performed like a champ.
If you're getting your first baitcaster or just need a cheap backup reel that feels and works like a $75+ reel, you cannot go wrong with the Tempo Vertix. I cannot wait to get back out on the water and use this little guy to land some lunkers.
Thanks for reading this saga/review, and if you're still on the fence about buying this sweet little reel, throw caution to the wind and pull the trigger on it. You won't be sorry.
Amazon Customer : Value!
Excellent quality at a very reasonable price
Freddy : Pretty good
Good for the price
JColletti : excellent beginner reel for the cost.
I have used this reel for a couple of months now and it works every bit as well as my Daiwa's and Lew's reels. It did become a bit noisy on casting after using it for a month, but a bit of degreaser and reel oil solved the issue quickly.
Justin : Great product
Didn't realize it was left handed, but works well.
Ema : Is it worth it? Probably not.
I bought 2 of these because the price was so good. They were 35$ at the time. But 1 ended up breaking randomly while I was fishing, the cover that the magnetic breakes are on has the locking switch and it broke. Deeming the reel unusable. Both of them were difficult to get tuned in out of the box. The breaks have to be tightened down almost completely for even a 1/4 oz bait. If they’re tightened down then you break it in with 100 casts or so the reel becomes easier to use and the casting distance increases. Not a completely bad reel, but there are definitely better options for the price.
LA : Works well bottom jigging for fluke but side cover lock poorly designed
Can’t speak for how long it will last but it seems to work well for bottom jigging. Was even able to real in a 10 lb Blue. I must agree with the other review that says it lacks lubricants internally and the link for the company does not work. I used some marine grease on the components and watched a YouTube video on how to set it up since it lacked an owners manual.
UPDATE: while the reel has lasted multiple uses over the year (I rinse it after each use) the locking mechanism for the side cover is a poor design. The simple slide switch must have accidents gotten pushed to “unlock” and now my cover lies 85’ down at the bottom of the ocean, there by rendering the reel useless. A word of caution to owners. Keep checking to ensure the cover is locked on. Poor design.
David Frye : open real
love this works better then i though
Nova Hedrick Allen : great for the price!
I haven't been out to fish with it but the feel and castabilty of this reel, I plan on using it for everything from bass to steelhead and even rockfish. I am going to get out and fish with it this weekend and see how I like it like it matters but it matches my rod perfectly which does matter to me.
A. Merlin : NOT TO SHABBY
I've been using this reel for a few months now and it's not to bad. It casts smooth and decently far. There is a whistling sound on most every cast though. The drag is good, and I have no problems retrieving fish that I catch. I'd definitely purchase another.
harold atchison : It works!!
Great little pond reel good for bass!! You get what you pay for!!!!
Thomas Brent Vahle : Loud Reel
Great out of the box. Reels smooth. However it makes a terrible whining sound when casting. Almost sounds like a bearing issue. Comes and goes but is intolerable. Can’t return it, so unfortunately I’m out the $$. Had it about a month and used it 3 times.
nicole czaja : Great so far
So far so good
Anthony purdie : Well built ,great value
Great product for the price.Smoooooth.
Luz Pineiro : Awesome
Very good reel I enjoy using it. Will get more
Brandon Davis : does not work properly
The drag did not work it felt like it was going to be a good reel but the drag does not put enough tension on spool for it to retrive the bait.
Stupa Bra : Cheap real that works
Good baitcaster for weekend fisher. Did take a few cast to work out the perfect tension to limit backlash. It’s very smooth on cast and retrieve. Great purchase
Barry c. : Poor quality
This real broke first time I used it. The tracking device broke. It was a gift and return was exhausted before I got it????

Amazon Warehouse Snatcher : NOT SURE...
I have this for about few weeks nice and used three to four times in the open sea, and shores. I have been getting one issue, since day one out in the water with this. My threed kepiting stuck by the inner side of the wall. Its not the strongest one for the buck i had paid. the pull force resistance works by magnetic so it not that as efficient in my personal use.
Grady Hines : awesome
Great reel!!
Magnum G. : Smooth
Nice reel, I have no problem with it, for the price I ain't complaining
Seth : Worth for money
I like it light weight, worth it and I can put more mono line
Grady Hines : awesome
Great reel!!
JColletti : excellent beginner reel for the cost.
