Five0retired : A Reel Deal !
I like to fish, which doesn't mean I am any good at it, but I am out there trying. This is a reel that I got to help me. I liked the specifications of this 3.0 SAN LIKE Spinning Reel. I compare it to my Big Box (BP) store brand 3.0 (frigate) reel and it beats it hands down. Not only does it have better specs(in my opinion) but it is almost half the price. This is a deal. I have matched it up to a Battletech 7' fast action rod, should make for an exciting spring!

Took this in to the store and had them spool it up. Put on one of my rods and went fishing. Really like how smooth it is. Even when I was messing around with it befor it had line on it, everything just worked silky. With the line on, it was still smooth and easy to use. The big knob is nice and makes it easyto reel in. The bail is sturdy and falls over well when setting it.

Wow. For a brand I’ve never heard of, the expectations were low. But actually the reel is very nice quality. Smooth drag, big handle, well finished. Honestly I’ve had more expensive reels that weren’t this nice!
D. Miller : Seems Solid For the Price
Looks a lot like a Penn Battle reel. Seems pretty "wide open", a lot of holes or pass throughs for spraying it out, getting the salt out, etc. Zero reverse and it spins nice and smooth. Very comparable to my Penn Battle II overall. For the price is seems like a good grab and a decent idea for the casual fisherman.
That being said, I like this reel too because as sexy as nice reels are, put the money into a good rod instead. Casters are a little different but spinning reels are very basic and don't have a lot of intricate parts. As long as it's well built, it will do the job.....the rod, however, makes a huge difference with casting, feeling the bite, setting hooks, etc. So if you're looking to save some cash but still have a decent set up....grab a nice, quality rod and go with a reel like this. Time will tell with exposure to salt water and if I ever have any issues, I'll update the review.

This is an amazing reel I gotta say. My father in-law just loves it he said it's the fastest he ever brought up his catch the way this reel works! It's one the best so far he has ever used and he couldn't be any happier with it.
