Ordered this to start fishing with and also got a cheap telescoping rod to go with it. It casts fine and was straightforward to set up with some braided line. It is nice and lightweight which is great because I plan on using it for backpacking trips and it doesn't add too much weight to my backpack when biking either.

Needed to buy a new one of these because my last one broke but if anything it was an upgrade. One of the best reels I’ve used at a great price. It’s a quality product that’s surprisingly lightweight. I’ve taken it out a few times and each trip I’ve never had a problem, the reel action was very smooth which makes it very dependable for any average fisherman like myself.

Just does little spinning after unbox, i already know that this is nice reel(all mateiral is metal very smooth spin also not as heave weight as some cheap brand) i thing it could handle Fish about 50 pound with out any ploblem.will install on my new rod and fishing tommoro.
