Answer: Yes, Made in China. There is ZERO support. No web site that is helpful. Exploded diagram of reel is on one of the flaps on the box. The other flap has the description of items, but if you can't read some chinese dialect it doesn't help. I bought a 2000 series. It is smooth as butter and doesn't make any noise. Thinking of buying another larger reel and DR Fish is one i am considering.

No good. Line doesn't lay flat on the spool. So if you like getting knots in your like on every other cast then this is the reel for you.

The knob is my favorite because of how big it is and you have more control, now this all being said this reel can not switch to the left hand as it will not work but everything else is good for me

Reel is great quality for the price. I have 3 and use them regularly for beach fishing. They hold up great to the salt air and water. I took one of these reels, along with 2 Penn Battle 2's and a Daiwa BG, fishing a on my jet ski and this is the only reel that didn't seize up after a long trip of getting soaked with salt water. Impressed is all I can say!
