when all else fails, and it happens. what is the one bait/lure you go to when you need that one fish that will make your day. since I started this my go to is a Manns Baby 1- . can't explain it, but it always seems to come through. so what you all got?
"When All Else Fails" my fall back is a Drop Shot with either a SK Rage Craw or a SK DB Craw.
Nose hooked or on a tex-posed on thin wire ewg.
If this doesn't do it I go to a wacky Senko ~ ( just Please don't tell @Darren.)
A-Jay
If you just want a fish on the line, it is hard to beat a 4" senko wacky rigged
When I can not get bit on ANYTHING ANYWHERE................I head to docks with a spinning rod and a 4" yum dinger on a 1/16th oz wacky jig. More times than not, after 2 hours of this, I'll have a limit.................they may only be small keepers, but I WILL get a limit on that.
For me it's a Cut R with a 1/16 pegged weight.
Mike
finesse worm (zoom or Berkley)
Finesse worm I suppose but normally its not the bait that needs changed its the speed of my presentation.

Or location
Weightless zoom superfluke

This year it was a Zoom Ultra Viba Speed Worm Watermelon Neon, 1/8 oz unpegged!
Z man Chatterbait or 5 inch senko

Honestly this was a close 2nd.
I use them unweighted as I only use the Magnum. They're heavy enough for the mostly shallow waters down here.
Mike
If I just need to feel a tug on the end of the line a ned rig is hard to beat. But if I just can't figure them out that day I could toss a spinnerbait for hours and hours on end and still have confidence it would eventually get me bit if I just kept hammering the right areas.
Gotta be a tube, have caught them deep, shallow, docks, cold, warm, you get the idea since I started bass fishing. Other baits have come and gone for me, but the tube is always there. A very close second is a 3 to 5" grub, preferably a kalins, pretty much same deal as the tube maybe a touch less versatile.
4" wacky rigged Senko
If someone held a gun to my head and said "catch a fish, next cast or else" I'd throw a nightcrawler. Otherwise... A Texas rig plastic worm, probably a zoom u tail color appropriate to the water clarity.
Baby 1- or Redeye shad.
Shakey head with a Zoom ultravibe speed worm.

Yes, yes. @A-Jay is finally warming up to throwing a wacky rig.
I can hear the winds of change blowing...
When all else fails... Well, if it is good enough to be the anchor
rig "when all else fails", it's good enough to be the MAIN rig!!
That and a drop shot!!
Merry C! Y'all!!
When all else fails, I tie on an inline spinner and let nature take its course.
Trick worms, catch numbers and size
The following lures are my some of my favorite lures to catch large numbers of bass in a day;
Rebel Pop-R
Hollow body frog
Spinnerbait
Rapala X-Rap
Zoom Super Fluke
Senko
Fat ika rigged backwards. That or a helicopter lure.

LOL
The Cut-R is #2 & I recently was given Magnum Speed Worms!
A 4" Zoom Dead Ringer(black) on a Seibert Outdoors Zenith shakeyhead.
3" white grub, weight of jighead depends on depth
Senko or fluke
It depends on "why" I'm not catching anything . Most of the time it will be a t-rigged plastic worm . What do you do when your go to lure is getting ignored ?
The reason I picked a t-rig is because I can fish it in the hairiest places where bass lurk . But if that doesnt work I'm going to keep on changing . I remember one day in particular that I couldnt buy a strike and it was a beautiful day . The idea hit me that maybe the bass were rejecting my offerings because they were getting too good a look at them . I started burning a spinner-bait as fast as I could and finally caught a few
. I remember exactly what lure that was to . It was a quarter ounce grey skirted Fleck Weed Wader with white Indiana Blades . I'll have to make a couple of those this winter

Ooh. Never thought about a dead ringer on a shakey head. Gonna have to give this a try. ?
Usually a Zoom Finesse worm in one of the natural colors. Last summer they were ignoring everything and I used a very light C-rig wth 1/8 oz bullet weight to get bites. Most of the bites were small fish. I also will use a T-rigged Trick Worm with some success almost any time of year.
I intend to give shakey heads and dropshots another try this year.
Go-to bait for me always has been and always will be a 6" T-Rigged plastic worm...
4" Watermelon Red Sticko (Senko). T-Rigged. If they don't want it T-Rigged, I throw it wacky.

T Rigged Mann's jelly worm grape color for me. 1st artificial bait I ever used 40 years ago and still producing on the harshest days. The 8" and 12" version are always on my boat.
I will say that the Mann's Baby 1- in baby bass color has become a new favorite to throw as well. Probably became my 3rd favorite behind a H&H 3/8oz white Colorado blade spinner bait. Which is my 2nd failsafe to keep a skunk at bay.
Looking for good rigs and lures to use
List your top 3 please and how to rig them
Have a good day guys!

Try the search bar. But make sure you're searching the fishing tackle section or your results will be less than stellar. I found a recent one for you .

Believe it or not, I have never even had a nibble on a spinnerbait, even though I've put a lot of time throwing them around. I think its because nearly every fish has gotten used to seeing them, as thats all that everyone throws in my area.
My go to lures (in this order) would have to be:
Black and Blue Chatterbait
Texas Rigged black and blue pit boss
Swimming a rage craw
Green Pumpkin/Purp Flake Weightless Texposed Senko
Small Inline Spinner

Usually I have the best luck with mine fishing them around shallow cover and bumping them into stuff. A little bit of wind helps.
Yamamoto senkos,Zoom super flukes, zoom trick worms. All t- rigged in watermelon colors, and june bug for low light fishing.
Close runner up 3 are pit bosses, zoom baby brush hogs, and super speed craws.I have at least 10 more baits I carry with a variety of colors.
I also have a hard bait box .I fool around with them and occasionally catch a few.
For me it varies with where I'm fishing.
If I'm fishing the rivers here, I always fall back to a 2.5" Cabin Creek tube in green pumpkin blue, rigged on a Cadman's 1/4 oz Smallie Crawlin' jig.
If I'm on any of the lakes I would fall back to 7" watermelon red Berkley Power worm, on a 3/0 hook woth 1/8 oz tungsten bullet weight.
Slow and steady tends to win the race for me in tough situations.
another baby 1 - fan here!

Laughed pretty hard at this. Definitely true though. Michigan's State Record Smallmouth was after all caught on a nightcrawler. Not like it was in the 1920s either, this happened this past fall.
To answer the op's question I've always gotten a bite on a texas-rigged senko. Mostly dinks, but still fun.
4" Yum Dinger for me as well.
