I went to Dick's this morning on the way to work after seeing some people talking about their clearance sales. I picked up a Abu Veritas 7' Med rod for 52.48. Reg 100.00 and a Abu 7' 11" Heavy rod for 67.48 reg 120.00. Also a Strike King black Buzz Bait for .73 cents. and a 38 oz jig for 1.73.
All of their prices on terminal and lures that end in .47 or .97 are another 1/2 off the clearance price. Good deals.

Took it out the next day and threw a frog around a sinkhole and caught three small bass. It casts a frog alright.
Took it out yesterday and punched mats with a 1 1/2oz rig and it did awesome! Handled great and I loved the length. Its definitely going to be my main flipping rig. Didn't have any luck yesterday ..... but that's alright. I loved the rod!

Rods, reels, and combos should be 25% off their clearance prices. That's only clearance items that, as previously stated, end with .47 or .97 cent endings.
I believe line, terminal, and lures are 50% off clearance prices. I bought a spool of Seaguar Invizx for less than $9 yesterday.

I couldn't believe the blowout they had on the Lew's baitcasting reels. It took everything I had to walk away... And a friend in Michigan just called me to go back for him today to get something his was out of stock for. OH NO! I could be in TROUBLE!

They had tungsten bullet sinkers on clearance too. I racked up on Strike King tungsten bullet weights. Around $2 per pack. All that were left were 1/8oz when I was done.

I don't know the rhyme or reason behind who carries what. DSG near me carries it but the DSG an hour away doesn't. The store an hour away carries LC and a large selection of rage products as well. Mine doesn't...

I got:
7' mhf micro guide
7' mm regular guide
6'6" mhf micro guide
For $32 dollars each!

That means that with the 7'11" I got the other day, I have purchased 4 veritas rods (3 micro guides) for $160 !
They had a 7'2" mh shimano crucial in the bin for $65 bucks too! Got two veritas instead though. ...

I went back to see if they had any Lew's speed spool reels. I didn't see any but I did find a speed spool combo. It is the graphite framed version...but I only paid 34.99 for it with a 6'6" mh im6 rod. I put the reel on my 34.99 vertias I bought and an old quantum on the lew's rod. I've got to stay out of that place.

I guess not all stores are doing the half off clearance. I asked and the guy said it was just the price marked on the tag. Most of the red tags I saw were just a few dollars off normal price. This is the Conway, AR store.

I stopped by DSG yesterday morning in Boynton Beach, the inventory on reels was low. I went in the the specif purpose of buying 1 rod and 1 reel which I would have paid full price, neither was in stock so I bought nothing.

Last week when I was in the one near me, they were running buy one at clearance get the second 50% off. Since the original markdown prices weren't that deep I passed. the 50% off clearance is only on line, lures, and terminal. rods, reels, and combos are 25% off.
also, make sure the red tags have .97 or .47 cent endings. Red tags are used for a few different things. If it has a red tag and ends with .99, it ain't clearance. If what you saw was .97 or .47, go back and take it to the register and have them ring it up to tell you the price.

Also. ....keep going back and checking. The graduated markdown is how my store went and I just kept going back and snatching what I could when it went on 50%. Got lots of baits, some terminal tackle. ....and the Abu rods I mentioned above. The Abu rods ended up being about 66% off in the end.

119.97 x 25% off= $89.97 - $10 off $50= $79.97 - 15% in store coupon (soccer?) = $67.87 - $10 reward certificate = $57.87

I bought a t shirt and a hat. With coupons the t shirt was $17 and the hat was free. Not to bad in my opinion.
I tend to like Exofficio's line of collared shirts. They are expensive but worth the money.
