It's almost that time, what is everyone wanting for Christmas? The wife said for me to go to the BPS website and fill up a cart with things I'd like to have and she'll go thru it and randomly pick some things to get for me.I told her that was the best idea I've heard all day.
Lets see some wish lists.
im doing the same thing this year....
tops on my list are a pair of solar bat sunglasses & a bunch of reel covers...
ill have some lures on the list too.....
bass fisherman are so easy to shop for, arent we
I take out my favorite catalog and circle what I want. Then I leave it opened to the page and leave it on the kitchen floor. ;D
I dont need anything.. i was already given fish to catch.

Funny thing happened today. I went to BPS and filled a real shopping cart up. I got to cross several items off my Christmas list. The last time I was down their my dad bought a Team All Star flipping stick for my Christmas present. The worst part is, he won't let me use it until then. I pick it up and play with it every time I go to visit them.
Still on my list for this year is a Falcon Tackle System. I have 5 of the boxes already, now I need the bag to go with them.
My birthday is on December 20th, so I combine Christmas & birthday with this
With one of these
I have been buying fishing tackle the whole time I've been injured.
All I want for Christmas is two good arms and a lake full of bass.
1. shallow crank-baits.
2. new rod to throw the shallow crank-baits.
3. new reel to put on the new rod to throw the new shallow crank-baits.
a pflueger summit reel
and a johnny morris 7-6 flipping stick
BPS Shimano Citica/Extreme combo
Rapala DT Crankbait Kit
Spinnerbaits
X-raps
Giftcards to BPS
I did the same thing and went online and filled out a shopping cart on BPS. I circled the things I really really wanted and the others uncircled were ones I wanted but didnt desperatley need. My parents offered the idea because they have no clue what specific things I like. On this list includes a shimano citica 201D, a bunch of different types of soft plastics, some jerkbaits, cranks, and some more spro bronzeye frogs.
I've spent the last couple of years upgrading my collection of reels. Now it's time to upgraded the rods. I've left my wife a couple hints to the effect that a new Daiwa Light & Tough rod or a JM Sig series rod would be most appreciated. She's been very good at interprerting my subtle hinting over the years. I'll leave index cards stuck in the BPS catalog, at the correct pages, with the model numbers, BPS stock numbers and the prices. You know, subtle.
Cheers,
GK
hoping for a boat! shootin for a curado
Quotehoping for a boat! shootin for a curado
I like your style, aim high, but be realistic. I hope you get the boat, but I will cheer for the Curado.
My hope is, to get all the rods done that I have promised to build this Christmas. LOL
Ronnie
I've already purchased my christmas presents. My wife and I both order our stuff online, but when it comes in, we can not open the box, and it gets wrapped. Sure we know what we're getting, but not having actually seen it in person or held it makes for an exciting christmas morning. I'm getting an assortment of Lucky Crafts and Jackal baits from my wife, my mom and stepdad already bought me a ton of the closeout Yamamoto baits, and I have expressed desire for a Glock 17 from my dad (I shoot in the winter). Should be a good christmas...we should start a thread Christmas night so everyone can show off their goods 8-)
It would probably be easier to list what I don't want...
;D
Shimano Symetre with a St. Croix M/H Fast spinning rod.
I'm needing some more Minus 1's and some Sub-warts. I've got one shallow running crankbaits that the bass like and I'm afraid if I lose it I won't be able to find the same color scheme again.
My list is short.
G. Loomis GLX BRC803 Jig and Worm Rod
Bring on Santa.
None...........I ask for Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mtn., and Dicks gift cards that way I get what I really need and want. My wife is getting better though, last year on fathers day she and my daughter actually gave me some nice gifts of tackle I actually use and was for bass fishing LOL.

Between Yamamoto, Lucky Craft, Spro, ZOOM, NetBait, Buckeye, Reaction Innovations and a host of other brands, I have a wish list way to long to type and well over $20K.
I guess wholesale wishlists don't count?

I am hoping for a couple of Mattlure's Bluegills and maybe a LC sammy or two. But I'm wrapping me 4 or 5 new rods this winter, so I can't lose, no matter what Santa does.
Ronnie
QuoteBut I'm wrapping me 4 or 5 new rods this winter,
Are you planning to do it professionaly ?
I do the gift card thing, that way I can pick out the right stuff. I also sent a link to my wife to buy me the stalker tackle bag from bass pro. Tackle bag and you can use it like a back pack too. I have gone through 2 tackle bags in 2 years, cheap ones from walmart. So figured it was time to get a nice one.

Heck NO, I love rod building, but if I had to do it for a living it would certainly lose it's charm. Right now, I am selling all my conventional factory made rods and replacing them with spiral wrapped versions in roughly the same models and types. I am ordering 4 blanks to finish my personal arsenal. Then I have 2 others that I have promised to do for a couple of friends and I have two of my own that are under construction. It sure feels like a job these days. Maybe when I retire one day, I can suplement my income. We'll see. LOL
Ronnie
Chartreuse colored hand grenade.
The new Rapala Minnow Rap in all the colors.
Chow
I'm getting a new rainsuit to replace the old one that got ruined in my storage compartment and a gift card. I have no idea yet what I'll spend the gc on.
