What is you favorite lure for night fishing?
dark color to black 12" mag worms t-ridded with light 1/8oz bullet, large senkos, mid to large top water poppers, and hollow body frogs. Havent done much night fishing, but those work well for me. Ive tried jitterbugs, but haven't had much luck with it yet, but its the small one. Eventually Ill get the larger one for night . Think my fav is probably the popper cos of the startling effect of the hit.
Black jitterbug for me....
Black Jitterbug for me also, a close 2nd is Midnight special spinnerbait.
Cast a big poppers out there, wait a minute, and pop it and pause and pop it. Or black buzzbait caught me a few fish at night this year..
My number one ie a 3/4 oz. or a 1 oz. football jig and swim it on deep weedlines, and my others are big worms up to 15in., BIG black jitterbug, senko's,brush hogs.
1/2oz dark colored jig or a dark colored chatterbait.
A black popper of some type with my own hand-tied feather tail. I lean toward Zell pops , Rio Ricos , and Yellow Magics.
What is the best daytime lure?...

for night i like black buzzbaits and black chatterbaits

Good ole 7-10" black power worm. After that , believe it or not an all white buzzbait.
I fish at night a lot and I still can't catch a lot of fish on a jitterbug, spinnerbait, or buzzbait. I give them a good shot each outing.
The most productive for me is a football jig, monster worm, or a finesse worm.
I fish with a guy who has won a ton of night tournaments and the only thing he throws is a watermelon red finesse worm with a 1/8 oz tungsten weight. I have witnessed him put some monster fish in the boat.
What I have learned from fishing with this guy is to fish the same thing you have confidence in the daylight hours. Get around fish with your confidence bait and you should get bit.
Slammer or rat bait.
I also agree with whatever you are catching them on during the daytime.
When I use to fish at night (can't anymore due to night vision problems) I use to have exceptional success tossing the big, Musky Size Jitterbugs. But that's getting back a couple of decades ago.
The black cavitron is my go to night time bait when water temps are above 70 degrees. You can cover a lot of water and use any of the sizes -The 1/8 oz when its like glass on top of the water with no wind or chop--the 1/4 oz the same with a little chop and the 3/8 when there is chop or waves and the bass have to find it easier
Crestliner2008, They still work to this day! I guide at night and it is at the top of my list for topwater's! That musky size works better for me than the small size!
I just change out the hooks to VMC 5/0 and HANG ON!
Yep Musky Jitterbugs are still on the menu and rattling jigs with Big high action trailers, big worms with Tungsten and clacker rings or beads for more noise, Rage Shad for buzzing surface trash, Big Spinnerbaits with thumping blades like #6 Colorado, bladed jigs with big trailers. There are others but these are majors IMO
Bog-O, We can't give out too much info,BABY STEPS! LOL
Speaking purely from a confidence perspective , my most successful night bait Is a Zoom 8" dead ringer in black or red shad.
KaRu Lures midnight madness vibraspin. The vibration is unreal on these and works very all the time, but really excels at night.

What are these called?
White soft plastic hollow body frogs
The MS Slammer in 7 or 9" length. Also the Mini MS Slammer. At night I use them all in black but really most color will work it seems. They make so much noise with the joints popping together and move so much water a bass will come from a long way to get one.

Used last night not a bite... but during the day its a different story I nail them wacky rigged a day.... so I went to a chattetbait black n blue.. with craw fatty on the back they didn't want it. Burned or a slow steady retrieve.. I had to let it sink sit for about 30 seconds and rip it up let it fall.. every time on the 4 ripped they would hit it on the fall....
I never stay later than 10pm. But I seen guys stay past 10pm telling me to wait till the bass turn on again. They were throwing inline spinner.
Black spinner bait, dark colored jig, or a dark Hula Popper.
Bass do not morph into a new creature after dark!
If the same lures on the same structure you would during the day!
