I did a quick search of forums and couldn’t find a topic on it?
But I’m going to get some deep divers but wondering what’s your favorite brand??
For mid range I run Bandit 200 and Strike King 3XD.
Keep with the same lineup but deeper models?
Whats your favorite??
I do not do a ton of deep cranking - but when I do much of the heavy lifting is done with SK 5XD & 6XD.
btw - if you haven't already - check out the Spro Rock Crawler 55 - been a killer 8 - 12 ft bait for me for the past few seasons.
Good Luck

I got a few Spros but never tossed out. I’ll look for that one...
I’m definitely getting a 5 or 6XD.

AJ what are the two baits in the bottom, middle box in the lower right? Looks like one is a gill pattern and the other is perch but they have translucent body sort of.
Berkely Dredgers . Last year I caught several bass 22 foot deep with the 25.5 . Thats the deepest I ever caught bass on a diving crankbait .

Lucky Craft Offerings.
Runs deep quick, has a wide wobble and a nice one knock rattle.
May be out of production ?

Wow! I have one 3600 box for deep, mid, shallow, lipless. One of the quandries for us back seaters!
I was a big fan of the 5xd and 6xd, then I tried the Berkley Dredgers.
Better hooks, better paint, pull easier, dive steeper, and catch them just as good for me. The 14.5, 17.5, and 20.5 get the most use for me. I keep color selection simple. Root beer, chartreuse powder blue back, and Gilly. I have tried other colors, but those three get it done for me on the lakes I fish.
Gander Outdoors and Dicks ain’t got nothing. Well Gander has yellow perch, white 6XD. Only local shops I have here around besides Walmart.
Sucks we we ain’t got no good stores nearby
5xd or 6XD
Well I went ahead and the 6XD in Oyster, 3 Dredgers in Firetiger, Midnight Pearl, Black chartreuse, Norman Dd22 in SX Shad.
I always buy yellow perch but never fished with one lol...
One more thing about the Dredgers is they stay in the strike zone a long time . I get lots of hits close to the boat . They have a tight action so they dont wear me out . I've had good luck on every size except the new 8.5 . Havent caught a bass on it yet but have caught several nice crappie .

What rod /reel line do you plan to use with the deep divers shown?

Shimano Curado 5.4:1, JB Custom rods Bumble bee rod, 12# flouro.
Rapala Shad Rap, it has caught me more fish than all my other cranks put together and I have caught thousands of fish on them including my 6.6 kg PB.
Not a fan of Skeet, but I like these. LC 120 Mag DR
4.75"
3.25 oz (might need your swimbait rod for this one)

I see a couple of Crankin Raps in AJ's box . Those are good running , tight action baits . I use them a lot between 10 and 12 foot .

Not familiar with your rod make, the DD22 and 6XD may need a MH +/5 power crankbait rod or you will be fighting the lure.
Tom
6th Sense C-15 and C-20.
SK 5XD is my favorite.

I haven't purchased a deep diver in a few seasons, mainly because I've gotten away from deep cranking. Of the 30 or so deep divers I own, over half are Normans. They aren't expensive, even when switching to premium hooks, and they're fish catchers.

6th Sense Cloud 9 & Crush Series ????
Never caught anything with any of them
I’ve used them all as I deep crank every trip. 6xd, 8 did, and 10xd are all good choices for their depth range. They cast like a bullet too! The 6th sense c-15 is my favorite 15’ diver. It’s a fish catching machine. The Berkeley dredgers are good, but I don’t see, to get as many bites on one. Also, the Spro is decent, but not a favorite. I do like the Duo Realis G87. It dives quick and catch fish. Rapala dt20 is a great bait also.

I just got this rod... it’s the one they recommended for cranks in my price range... I have a Crucial as well but sure that one is just M.
heck I had to go look at the Crucial lol it’s a 7’M- MF..
Only MH I know I have that I know of are my Carbon light and Pro Qualifier.
The pic is the rod specs.
The 6th Sense line up what’s y’all favorite color?? Heck what yall’s favorite color for deep divers?? I’ve read white or dark.. so is chartreuse still a great choice or or not so great deep?

Yes . I use firetiger a lot . Often I select color by what becomes untangled first .
Yellow perch
The only way you will know how the rod performs with various crankbaits is go fishing and try them.
Caution: the bait monkey invented crank baits.
Colors can be confusing way too many choices.
Where I fish the water clarity is good and both LMB and Smallmouth are sight feeders so using colors similar to the Threadfin Shad baitfish and crawdads are high percentage colors; ghost pearl white with silver stripes and dark brown/black with red. The problem is nearly every color will catch some bass, each lake will have it's predominate color.

Hopefully the rod does well if not I guess I’ll try my other rods. I need to get another reel so I can switch my Curado back to my Crucial rod.
I've had luck at the Lake by the house with Chartreuse. I haven’t tried any other color choice like Bluegill. The lake as I know does not have any shad and their not sure if will stick any from what I’ve read.
looking at 6th Sense man they got some beautiful color choices but not in all depth far as lures...

Doesnt make a bit of difference , shad patterns still looks like baitfish .

I didn’t think so but was wondering should I target other bait fish like bluegills, crappie..
I was looking at this one
That looks like s good one . I have a lot of success on baits with a flash of chartreuse like that one . My all time favorite squarebill has a color scheme very similar .
i really like the 10xd and duo g87
The 6XD paid off!!
Looks like your rod worked ok!
Tom
6XD is a good staple but I'm getting away from them now. It's old having to tune almost every one out of the box because it wants to run to one side or the other and they pull harder than others out there.
I like the Profound Z Boss series and the 6th Sense Cloud series. Much better quality crankbaits.
I got some 6th sense coming... hopefully be here tonight or tomorrow. This one seems to run fine.
WRB- it did pretty well... the Dredger’s was noticeable though..
the 6XD and DD22 was fine..
Y’all talked me into it!!
Ive been working on my deep cranking skills the past few years, and because there are so many brands out there and I am sure most are good, I have tried to minimize by box to the ones I have done well with and have confidence in, and also the ones that have been around the longest, cause they still make em and sell em for a reason. People buy them.
I use the Strike King XD series both silent and rattling as my go to because Its what most people use and they flat out work. I like one bright color, and one in a white color but not sure color matters all that much.
Bomber #7A is an awesome crankbait. Has a tighter action, the bill dance citrus shad and firetiger both seem to work well and the brown craw color.
The Norman DD 22, and my favorite lately is the Rapala DT 16 which you can get down deeper if you need it by either long lining, or using 8lb test fluoro. Something about the Finesse action seems to make it work well when sometimes they won't hit the others.
I know the Berkley cranks are popular as mentioned, and the Spro as well. They are all good options.
Then the bigger shad raps are also good baits not just for the cold.....I like throwin them on spinning gear and light line, here in florida it gives them a different look I think.
If I had to choose one it would be the rapala dt. Have caught em pretty good on the strike king XD as well. Haven't used a lot of them tho as I seem to not do much deep cranking
Once I tried the dredgers I sold 14 other deep divers - seems with Fritts help Berkley hit a home run for me.
