I ask this question a lot to my friend and got so many different anwsers. So what is your favorite lure/bait? It could be for any reason like it's your go to bait or you got it from someone you love.
Jitterbug.

X2! No other lure has action like a Jitterbug. Just pure fun to watch it coming back at you!
Its not a bass bait, but a suick Its ugly, simple, and you have to impart all the action to it.
Top water ; popper, frogs, buzzers are all my favorite. Just something about them blowing up that still get the juices flowing.
Any type of buzzbait. Nothing like watching a bass explode on a buzzbait.
My favorite bait isn't one I throw a lot. In fact, I haven't thrown it in over 3 years. The reason it is my favorite is because I caught my first double digit bass on it, a 12lb hawg. The bait is a Lucky Craft Big Daddy Strike 4 crankbait in chartreuse/black back. It has a super tough paint job, and 2 of the hook points are still missing from that big bass breaking the tips off of them : D
If i had to go anywhere and fish, i would have to pick a 5" Yum DInger Senko! best for making lock jaw bass bite! great all year presentation...
My favorite is a Spook, but I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of the jig and craw this year.
Spro frog in any natural color.
Buzz frog/toad or popping frog.
I love a skitter prop topwater... also love a fluke
Where I fish it's a Fluke and/or a KVD 1.5.
3/8 oz. Arky-style jig, black/blue with a Zoom Super Chunk trailer, same color.

Zoom or Rage Tail Lizard texas rigged with a 3/16oz weight. I've caught more big fish on those than everything else I have combined.
Swimming jig
Lucky Craft Crank Baits. My go to and confidence inspiring baits
To hard to pick one. T rigged plastic or a trap.
It's really difficult to choose just one bait but If I absolutely had to pick one It would be a t-rigged Zoom Big Dead Ringer.
My go to bait is a sammy, love those things.
With so many baits out there this is a tough question. Probably a jig and trailer, or a topwater bait.
Any size/style/color jig w/ zoom grub trailer (single or double tail)
close second> any buzz-bait or spinner bait
jig
swim jig... no surprise

For pure enjoyment and numbers - Spit'n Image
I would guess that atleast 85% of all my topwater fish I caught came from a Spit'n Image.
For numbers- baby brush hog Texas rigged
For big fish- some sort of greenish jig with a paca craw trailer
Topwater- spook
Ragetail Space Monkey. I can cover the entire water column with it and rig it many ways.
I have two. Deep running chartruse Bomber or a chartruse beetle spin. No matter what other baits I am running, when the fish wont bite, I fall back on the two old faithfuls
My first lucky craft sammy 100sp in chartreuse. I guess it's something that I can always count on in the summer if I see bait fish jumping in open water and because it was my first topwater lure that I learn "to walk the dog"
I have this old Bandit crank bait with a small bill that I refer to as 'Ole Faithful'. I've caught Flathead catfish, small mouth bass, and large mouth bass on it. It's an amazing crank...

jig and rage craw or grub trailer
Boohya Spinnerbait...
Right now its a watermelon or green pumkin fat ika dipped in JJ's magic rigged upside down with a worm rattle inserted. It normally gets the job done when nothing else will pull the fish.
C rigged eeliminator, jig and rage craw or rage shad for topwater .
KVD 1.5 CITRUS SHAD SILENT BASS JUST HAMMER IT
Snag Proof Phat Frog.
kvd 1.5 any color
A few years back, a friend of mine and my dad on the other side of the country sent us a box of lure's. All looked great. Great paint gobs, super hooks. I went fishing one day with my dad to try them out, on the way back, we forgot our whole tackle box, all of our new and old lures. All that was left was one small crankbait that was on my rod. It was long and thin and gold. Maybe1.5 inches. BEST LURE EVER! I've caught so many bass on that lure. Whenever all else fails, that lure would always get me a fish. Never seen anything else like it. Makes me think how good the other lures probably would have been.
There are way too many for me to just say one, sorry. Rattle trap and senko are among the tops for me. Those cover active and inactive fish.
