Anyone have any favorite boot tail swimbaits that they would recommend to pair up with a swimjig?
I've used either strike king paddle tails or gander mnt brand but I have had better success using rage tails craw or twister tails up in WI
Just starting using the swimjigs but I already got a Keitech swing impact set on one of them.
Skinny/little dipper
swim senko
I use ragetail baits and gambler baits for swim jig trailer. Depending on size little EZ or the standard EZ swimmer from gambler.
Keitech swing impact fat
Both the standard swing impact and fat impact made by Keitech. The RI little dippers are incredible as well. Lastly I would buy a swim senko and cut some of the front end off. That would be my top 3.
keitech, zoom fat albert, are all I use
Kicker Fish Tail Slapper, and Keitech Fat are the only boot-tails that I use. Thoroughly pleased with both,

^^either of these two
Little dipper, grass pig jr, rage menace always get the nod.
My favorite is the keitech fat swinging impact, with the grass pig a close second. The nice thing about the grass pigs is they are only 2.99, and are more durable then the keitechs.
I used to use little dippers, zoom swimming flukes and fat Alberts
the last two weeks i been crushing with the rage tail menace!!
Grass Pigs
Missile baits Shockwave
Gambler EZ swimmer for me, on the bigger California swim jigs I'll add a Gambler Big EZ. It makes a big bait, but sometimes that's what they want
Gambler little ez. Comes in great colors and has good action and is very durable. Not to mention they come with good garlic scent. Have had more success with swimjigs when i switched to them from keitechs.
I know it's not a boot tail swim bait, but I had alot of success last year using a SK Menace grub.
Keitech 3.8" Fat Impact and PLINE Kick-R minnow in 4" are my current favorites.
Allen
All I've used yet is the Zoom UV Speed Craw and a Pit Boss. Both have produced!

Take that back.. This morning I couldn't get bit on anything I threw. I was fishing a shallow grass flat with cypress trees that borders the flat.. My rage menace got tore up and I had a old red bug rage cut-r worm that was pretty tore up sitting in my recessed trolling motor tray .. I bit the top off a couple inches of the worm and stuck it on a 1/4 oz black and blue with a few strands of orange Swim jig.. First cast was a 3lber ..2nd cast was dang near a 4lber ... I ended up catching 10 fish in 30 minutes.. I was always a believer in the rage cut-r worm for flipping... But it's also a great swim jig trailer... And the skirt did not match the trailer at all color wise..
Keitech shiners or paddle tail swimbair but lately they have been hammering some twin tail white grub
6" Kalin Mogambo grub.

Love the Mogambo grubs for big spinnerbaits. Gotta try them on swim jigs too.

I run swimbait trailers on 1/4 and 3/8oz and Mogambos for 1/2 and 3/4oz. They look so good and move a ton of water.

The 5" Kalins crushed it last year.
Will have a bunch of bootails this year to try, smash tech, dippers, shockwaves, the new pulse soon and some swimming flukes. Will be curious to see if the grub is back on the jig by the end of the season.
Some testing also showed the swim senko to have a ridiculous amount of action, I am thinking that this would be a great dingy water bait with all the water it pushes. The only concern I would have is keeping the musky off the bait.

Reaction Innovation- Dippers.
My favorite trailer period...
Rage Menace
This time of year I like to use Zoom Super Chunks, and Super Chunk Jr. When the water warms up more I will be using Fat Alberts.
i love the zoom fat albert!

Bluebasser, I bought my first pack of Rage Menace today.
What are the different ways that you have had success ? I bought the Sapphire blue since the bite here is on a Black/Blue jig with a Sapphire zoom chunk.
I saw some of your custom chatterbaits and really like the color combos. Pm me if you have any for sale

I like to rig them sideways so the tail is vertical instead of horizontal (moves side to side during the retrieve like a swimming fish tail).
3.8 fat impact was the hot trailer for bladed swim jigs in last weekend's elite tourney. I'm going to pick some up to try on bladed and regular swim jigs this year.
My favorite is a Big Bite Bait Cane Thumper. I'll also use a Swimin' Dinger if I'm going for a little more subtle action.
KVD swim n caffine shad or Rage Menace.Want to try the Rage swimbait when it comes out.
I ordered quite a few Keitech swing impact fat's 3.8" and it looks like several of you use that size. I also ordered the 4.3"... will that size still be a good choice or should they be used on their own with just a jig head or weighted hook?
I really like the Lake Fork Live Magic Shad, both regular and boot tail. I usually use the 3.5, but if I'm looking for the big bite I'll use a 4.5in.
Keitech only for me.
4" and 5" single tail grubs on all my bladed swim jigs last year, though this year I'm going to try the Rage Menace and some paddletails.
I like the swim senko
