What is the best fishing lure you have ever used or had the most luck with?
Zoom Baby Brush Hogs/ t-rig. Although the Strike King Jig is coming in pretty hard.
a T-rigged 4 inch BPS Magnum Flippin Tube. #13 melon pepper. I know if nothing else is working. I can catch a bass on my green tube. This is my #1 goto bait.
2.5" Gitzit tube in green pumpkin with a 1/16oz insert jighead, gamakatsu hook.
I've probably caught the most bass since I started bass fishing on a Gene Larew 8" hooktail worm in tomatoe color, but they totally changed the mold and plastic, so I haven't actually fished that particular worm in over a decade. Hard jerkbaits like the Smithwick Rogue would be a close second.
i dont think u can go wrong with a yum 7 inch ribbontail worm in any color you like and second would be a Lucky Craft LVR 200
It's interesting that no one yet mentioned the notorious Senko!
My favorite bigmouth lure is the Plastic Worm.
I lump stick-worms into the same category (senko, tiki stick ~ ~)
which I find no better, no worse.

close call between spinnerbait and soft plastic
Take a look at this thread that ran a few of weeks ago:
http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1166315137
I would have to agree with Rolo and Doug Hannon, the plastic worms. I personally
prefer, Yamamoto, Spike It, Grandebass, Roboworm and Bass Assassin.
In 30+ years of bassin',I've caught more bass on some form of T-rigged plastic worm.
With the 4inch Ribbontail Powerworm I can usually always catch a bass(Camo, or Redshad) The 4inch Cinnamon Senko would be a close 2nd. And for 3rd Iwould say a 4inch YUM WoolyHawg Tail in Greenpumpkin.

Is there a 4" ribbontail version of powerworm? i thought the that was available only in the 7" and 10" versions.
SOFT PLASTIC for me. mainly zoom some gycb
I use a oxblodd roboworm in 6-8in t-rig.
good fr deep water and around weeds.
yo-zuri rattle-n-vibe....with sureset hooks
Black Jack Crankbaits!
Rat-l-trap.
Mine would definitely be a Zoom Baby Brush Hog in Black Emerald. T-rig. 2nd, homemade jig, pumpkin
white spinnerbait with white mr twister 4" twintail grub
but i've had lots luck with zoom baby brush hog
senko and rat l traps 1/2 and 3/4 oz
Color 297 Senko for me and maybe a Lucky Craft Flat CB in Chartruse Chad.
Any color senko.
7" Berkley Power Worm in Red Shad
Vyron this is a link to the 4inch ribbon tail(thought I heard it was called ribbontail somewhere) powerworm I was talking about http://www.berkley-fishing.com/cat.php?k=49658&sk=46684. Although my 2 most deadliest colors are camo and redshad. (Notice the first worm has the same title, but is a different worm, I guess this is a mistake on their part, anyway the 3rd worm is the worm I call the ribbon tail and catches me most of my fish )
Their is no such thing as the BEST LURE. It is the lure or bait you have the most confidennce in and have had the best luck with.
A Johnson Beetle Spin or a Berkley Powerworm.
wordens rostertails and blue fox spinners ( preferably gold, green. or yellow)
Hard Bait; #9 to#11 Original Floating Rapala in silver/black back
Soft: Manns Jelly Worms In Grape(purple) and Marmalade(motor Oil) Notr: this may soon change to the Senko Knock offs in any shade of dark green One more season like last year and Im afraid Manns will be in second place here
My favorite is a jig.Worm sure is right behind it.
The Carolina rig has caught a chunk of tournament fish for me year round.

Zooms Super Fluke. I just know how to work these shad baits really good but I don't throw them all that much only during chilly summer mornings. For my overall ill go with the spinnerbait.
Berkley Bungee Powerbait in black and pumpkinseed.
Manns 6" jelly worm in purple t- rigged and to think i own so many diff lures when in reality that one lure can do it no matter where u live.
When all else fails, I tie a 3/16 oz spot remover jighead on, thread a zoom green pumpkin finesse worm on and go to shakin'. It works. Better use some Carolina Lunker Sauce with it.
Buzzbait , i just can't resist to the exitement of a topwater bite!
My favorite lure to catch on is the Bandit 100 Chart/White.
But my favorite lure all around is the Megabass Type-X Frog, a beautiful looking lure, with very nice action. Only problem is I'm very reluctant to throw a $20-25 lure since I fish from the bank...
For overall numbers, over the years, I gotta say a t-rigged plastic worm.
Last year it was the Senko and Fat Ika, with an honorable mention to the X-Rap.
Cheers,
GK

I totaly agree. My confidence bait is a Spot Remover jig head whith a green pumpkin finesse worm. The fish I have boated with it number in the thousands.
Man, thats a tough one. I'd have to say jigs in general. I use to many different kinds to name just one. And crankbaits.Same with the cranks as well. I use to many to name just one. So there it is;
Jigs for #1
Cranks for #2
Oh for me its gotta be Strike Kings finesse jigs in any color with craw trailer to match. Its my money bait.
Zoom baby brush hogs and Culprit 12 inch ribbontails.
Any big ribbon tail worm in motor oil color
watermelon seed horny toad!!!!!
