fishing user avatarJake P reply :

I'm ready to see the rest too!!

fishing user avatarGangley reply :

Looks goood. Judging from the slits near the tail Im assuming its a side hooked bait meant for flipping and pitching. Throw a little chartruse die on the tail and fins and BAM!!!

fishing user avatarGatorbassman reply :

HOLY COW!!!! Those look like fun.

fishing user avatarGangley reply :

Do you have a price point yet? It looks to have plenty of plastic so I assume it will be a hefty price. Worth a try regardless though, its a close resemblance to a beaver and Im sure can be fished like one with good results. Since I'm certain that you have done quite a bit of "beta" testing on it, what is your preferred method of rigging and how did you fish it?

fishing user avatardeep reply :

Looks legit!

fishing user avatartelmomarques reply :

copied this off from big mouth warmouth baits

fishing user avatarGangley reply :

Not that I'm a big rage tail fan, but the action of the warmouth and the shellcracker are going to be COMPLETELY different. This is not a ripoff of one lure by another. last time I checked, the warmouth didnt have pectoral, side, and anal fins, textured scale patterns and gil slits along its side, and sure as heck didnt have the rage tail appendages. Keep a more open mind when looking at things, a little patience and inspection of the two lures would have shown you how different they truley are. After all, lure action is what truley sets one lure apart from another, and there is no way to deny that the actions of these two baits will be considerably different

fishing user avatarCaptain Obvious reply :

Kinda looks like the Big Bite Warmouth. Is this a new type of soft bait category? Kinda a flipping/swim-bait hybrid?

Regardless looks cool

Capt.O

fishing user avatarHi Salenity reply :

I'm in, how soon can I get them?

fishing user avatarclayton86 reply :

fishing user avatarLund Explorer reply :

You've been busy Mr. Steve - Can't wait to see the other goodies you've dreamed up.

Colors?

fishing user avatarRyneB reply :

I see money being spent in the near future. I can already see my conversation with my wife.

Wife: do you really NEED those

Me: yes, theyre new and i have to have them

Wife: well they look like everything else you have

Me: not at all, these baits have (i go on for 10 minutes why these are the best baits ever)

fishing user avatartomustang reply :

What color options are their Mr Big O?

The tail looks like you can use it two ways by either cutting it for twin action or for single wag, have any info on that?

fishing user avatarLund Explorer reply :

I can't stop thinking about this bait. How's this idea?

Rig it up on a light weight Rage Rig (maybe 1/16oz). Twitch it along just under the surface like a dying shad, letting it slowly sink every so often. Weighted like this, the bait should ride level on what looks like it's side, just like a half-dead baitfish.

Can't wait for the next alewive spawn!

fishing user avatarSkeet22 reply :

Cant help but think Warmouth..

fishing user avatarprjavelin reply :

can I have a package on any color for promotional/reviewing purposes :eyebrows:

fishing user avatarVinny Chase reply :

Don't let your opinion of ^^^^^ confuse the quality and action of the Shellcracker.

You may think the look similar but, I assure you, the Shellcracker is in an entirely different category and work well.

fishing user avatarlogan9209 reply :

I can't wait to get a hold of those. The possibilities are endless and the bass in my lake would eat em up for sure.

fishing user avatarA-Jay reply :

Nice ~

I'd like to feed those to the local bass population.

And it looks like it's 6 to a pack - and who doesn't like a 6-pack ?

A-Jay

fishing user avatarFat-G reply :

Wow what's with all the haters? Last time I checked none of you work for a major tackle manufacturer. The dude obviously knows something about designing baits.

Looks cool Steve.

Nothin' much man! Chillin!

fishing user avatarShane J reply :

This thing is insane! Rig one on a 5/0 1/4 oz keel-weighted hook, but rigged on the side. They swim incredible, then fall slow and horizontal, and the bass can't take too much of that. This bait blows the doors off of any "similar" baits currently on the market.

so just like every other rage tail baits there the shiznit. I cant wait to get my hands on some.

fishing user avatarBig-O reply :

This is no knockoff at all... It's a hybrid style Beaver shaped body with baitfish aesthetics and has the fastest tail action in the history of soft plastics (of course, it's Rage Tail ;) ). It has tiny (skin hook) slots on either side for hiding the hook point if using EWG style. There's also a belly slot for rigging with a weighted hook. The baits length, width and overall profile lends itself to accomodate up to a 5/0 hook and it is for sure a crossover design that can be fished in a variety of ways.

Pitch/Flip, T and C rig, Swim upright, Jig trailer, naked/open stand up or shakey head jig.

Anyone who sees and/or fishes it will get the message ;) Glad y'all like'em!

fishing user avatarclayton86 reply :

so when are they gonna be available to go raid the stores and pick em up

I don't know what " *** " means, but I'm assuming it's something that's not supposed to be listed on here. Either that or the censor things is wonky :) . Seriously though, that soon! Dang! I've got one kidney and a part of my liver if anyone wants to buy them. $100 for both or $60 for each.
