just got thro lookin thro that. lots of interesting stuff coming out!
Some of things I'm now excited for are the RES Tungsten 2 Tap, Spro RK Star 55, the new St Croix Legend Elites, and the Sunline Assassin FC,
I guess I better start saving up now. I'll be getting the new Rapala HD colors and the Spro RK Star's.
I'd like to open hand slap whoever designed those new tatula xt rods. And quantum's lineup never ceases to amaze me A lot of gimmicky looking products there. That megabass levante has my attention though...
Kind of a Strike King fan boy. Here's the interesting things I remember off the top of my head:
-Magnum Caffeine Shad 7"
-Ochos now come in 4" 5" 6" & 7"
-Big 10" finesse worm
-Tungsten Rattle Red Eye Shad
There's others I don't remember and over 200 total items in that Bassmaster link
cant wait to see what new colors booyah will have for the one knockers. curious about that daiwa fuego as well
Here comes the two compulsory questions....
Wait for it.....waaaaait for it....
those lews rods with the golf grips look awesome
^Yeah, I thought so too.
I've been waiting for Booyah to get into hard baits, looks like they'll be taking over the Excalibur stuff.
Everything looks pretty cool!
That duo trout looks mighty tasty...
I'd really like to see a 4" elaztech stick bait made by either strike king or Zman. Both of them only have a 5".
I feel a St. Croix legend elite coming my way next year. Very sweet rod.
I was hoping to see a Curado 50I..

I thought I as all but done with St. Croix until I saw the new legend Elite. Hopefully they offer the same lengths/actions as the Xtreme. As long as that is an ECS and not SK2 garbage, it should be a winner. I fear it may be in the NRX price range though /w those guides.
The "TatFuego" just screams disappointment if it's in the Tatula frame.
Seaguar Flippin' Fluoro sounds really nice. Hard not to trust a line with Danny's name on it.
Weego Jump Starter Battery looks really cool
Well you know I would have a Lew's comment...the magnesium speed spool looks pretty baller until I really compare it to my Team Lite...it's nearly the same reel. Magnesium frame versus aluminum...5.3 oz versus 5.6. The hook holders are not anything I need. The line size indicator is not useful to me. The black/gold finish is gnarbeans as all get-out though.
Over all...as long as it's not much more than a Team Lite...it'll be worth it to me.
I really like the speed cast brakes, but I still wish they'd offer a magnesium Team Pro LFS with dual braking. Doesn't replace the adjustable centrifugal...but I'd sure own one of each.
Okay...who am I kidding...it's PIMP and super light...I want one.
New daiwa products and duo got me excited. Sunline assassin too. Probably buy a spro rat in the smaller size.
i liked the Mann’s crystal flash spinner bait, SK swinging sugar buzz and Megabass Fermata – suspending lipless crank. And of course i liked the Wilderness ATAK but i had already seen that one.

x2 on the crystal flash spinner bait; but, I wonder how it'll perform like a metal blade..

From the looks of the picture I am certain that it is NOT on the Tatula frame. The lack of the TWS is even more compelling of an argument that it won't be on the Tatula frame.
Lews Tournament Pro G. Oh, yes. You will be mine!

Remember the comparison pictures of the tatula vs the new zillion on TT where the picture "looked like they were different"? I'll believe it when I see it on this one. It would be nice to have a new Daiwa reel on a non tatula frame but I'm not holding my breath on it.

The Alphas SV and the SS SV are coming over to our shores, and those are not built on the Tatula frame.

"Coming" over...as in already have been out. Fuego is brand new.

This intrigues me. If they keep the Team LITE, introduce the Pro G and Team Pro magnesium...then they'll have 3 reels with the same brakes, bearings, c45 side plates, capacity, line indicator, & hook keeper...the difference will be finish, knobs, and the magnesium frame on the Pro Mag.
Odd...but I'll bet the Tourney pro G well be the best bang for buck.

The Croix Legend Elite has a reel seat that is very, very good, but with the reel seat and the Torzite guides, the price I was told is going to be between $475 - $525 depending on model.

Figured as much. Those guides are pricey. Do you by chance know if they are going to dip the elite's into the 7'+ market? Id think the 7'4 HF they have in the xtreme would be a huge seller and an amazing jig stick in the elite lineup.
Is anyone concerned that the quality will not be there when booyah takes over xcalibur lures? I'm very scetchy with the idea. That popping pencil by duo realis looks nice.

So what will they do with the Legend Xtremes? Keep the price the same, drop the price to the old elite price, or will they just drop the series?
It was just revamped a couple years ago.. The xtreme isnt going anywhere. It will probably be remade icast2016 based on their past. The legend elites were long over due.On 7/3/2015 at 8:25 AM, Jon G said:So what will they do with the Legend Xtremes? I know it was revamped. I just find it interesting that the elite may be priced more than the xtreme

Torzite guides are ridiculously expensive hence the big jump in price
Honestly, there's no need for Torzite guides for bass fishing. Salt water fishing using massive braided line (essentially cable) for 50+lb fish? Yep. But they're overkill for bass fishing. It's akin to using a semi to pull your bass boat.

95% of the stuff out there is overkill

This
I'm pretty much a SK and St. Croix junkie so I'll definitely be getting some stuff. I'm really looking forward to the Tungsten Two Taps and especially the swinging swim jig and buzzbait! I'm also definitely getting one of the new Legend Elites. Hopefully I don't end up too broke when the product comes out!
I also was excited for the mega bass fermata. I feel like a lipless crank that could suspend but also be a crank is pretty neat
Glenn, I don't suppose you have an extra pass to Icast laying around. I would love to get in and see this stuff close up!

i guess i should have said "that" fuego is brand new. Make more sense now?On 7/3/2015 at 11:23 PM, Shanes7614 said:Fuegos brand new???
I read, I believe on the st croix site that the legend elites will be under 425. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what I read 350 to 425. same blank with the torzite guides but does not have that expensive extreme handle. either way I will definitely be getting one. also interested in the Lews turney pro G. I'm not much for magnesium frames personally so I will probably stick with my team golds and pros that are all aluminum but that pro G looks nice.
Anyone here on the forum going to ICAST tomorrow, Friday, the last day?
I am going for the last 4 hours of the show looking for those cash deals by exhibitors who can't wait to close up shop and get out of there. Sometimes you can get some really good cash only deals just before the show closes.
No sales at icast. I think you're outta luck.
I just checked. You are right. Bummer.
And so it begins - video after video of one to two minute sales pitches pushing new worms, reels, line, rods, clothing, etc... And I will watch some too. After a while though I wish they were a little more creative in their sales pitches.
Probably going to buy an Arashi Walker and a Pompadour Jr regardless. Other stuff, I'll decide after I see reviews and on the water experiences. I like the looks of a lot of the new rods; lots of new options at several pricepoints.
I'll also buy some SV spools if they drop into OG Zillions.
lot of cool stuff. definitely see myself getting one of those duo pencil poppers and arashi walkers and those lews rods with the winn grips look sick. thinking about pre ordering that 6'10 mh from TW
Folks, you're going to like the videos we're doing at ICAST. Lot's of cool new stuff coming your way soon, and we have unique videos that show you them, the way you want to see them!
Hmm, one of the fishing youtube channels I subscribe to is at ICAST. Now how in the world did this youtube guy get access? I have some fishing videos up - where was my invite?!!!!

Looks like your buddy is interviewing about a reel released last year. Surprising that they are talking about it and not something new like the new Icon.On 7/17/2015 at 11:47 AM, hoosierbass07 said:Hmm, one of the fishing youtube channels I subscribe to is at ICAST.
