I keep getting it bad I just did a 12mo subscription to MTB! so that will be nice iv heard so many great things bout them I did the 12 mo plan. I also just picked up a Stradic Ci4 and the revo premier spinning and veritas last week. Yesterday I bought some mini umbrella rigs and 12 packs of various tungsten bullet sinkers and a new spinner bait box and line spooling station. I have also picked up several packages of rage tail thumpers a few days ago. Tomorrow I plan on placing a big order for Siebert jigs and some Northstar then over to get some moaner hooks and more rage baits.

Upgraded Sol, Purple Alphas 103L, custom RX-7 Rainshadow, 2 Quantum Tour Edition Pt, Quantum Superlite PT, swimbait jigs, Carbontex drags for 3 Abu round reels, one set of Orange Seal bearings for one of the previously mentioned Abus, Wiha screwdriver kit for reels, grips for daughter's reel, Morrum 1600C and a macro lens for my SLR Digital camera so I can take pictures as I tear apart my first reel. I think that is it for the past month....so far. Need some Cal's grease and a couple other items for working on my reels.
EDIT: Getting a bit antsy to hit the water, but don't feel like freezing my you-know-what off. 
Oh yeah, need tungsten weights and some paddle tails minimum.

Nice pick up. I did mine earlier (picking up two new reels - BPS Extreme and Prolite), bought some various soft baits and crankbaits. I've also purchased a new tackle bag, KVD L&L, 12# test Yo Zuri. I am itching to buy a new crankbait rod and new reel (want another Curado50e), but my wife is telling no more! lol So I am trying to sell some of my extra equipment to pay for them.

Itss not the baitmonkey. Its his aggravating cousin the "b.o.a.t. monkey" just spent 768. To repair boat. Needless to say, i dont have any bait monkey funds. I did buy some Sniper line. I dont need any. But it was buy one get one at the local store.

I will say i have seen a bunch of great deals on theFlea market in the past few days that i would have jumped on just for the sake of seizing a deal.
And that is killing me...it only happens when funds are depleted.

Im lucking out I hd a big tax return this year so I paid off all my bills and set some aside and still have quite a bit left over so I'm treating my self and my boys they keep getting spoiled as well to the things my ex wife has been saying no to over the last 5 years its kinda nice feeling to be out of debt(all but my truck payment) all 3 of my bank accounts are in the ++++ and my tackle bin is over flowing as so is my hunting gear I'm taking the new bow to the shop tonight to get tuned and set up. It would have been much better if she didn't blow all my money but Iv recouped pretty well. Few more rods to update my old walmart and BPS low budget stuff and some jigs and rage tail baits and I will be all set oh and maybe 1 more bait caster.

My water heater died today and while we had to clean up the room where we have it, we had to remove my fishing equipment and I looked over old reels and rods that I have not used for years and then I remembered the Spring classic is underway and and they have reel trades and rod trades coming up. Hmmmm.... I am thinking a sweet chronarch and a nice rod.... once the monkey starts stirring I can't control him.

He has put a whoopin on me this winter thanks to the BTD sales. 2 NRX's and a Core 50 and I think I might be done with rods and reels for a little while. Have also been pimping out some reels; that gets expensive really quickly. I haven't even started restocking on tackle yet. Yet.......

He already has a bow he got for Christmas he asks every day when we are gonna go shoot bucks like seriously every day. Now the kayak that may pose a problem but he will just have to learn lol. He just cleaned his first rifle also he kept saying his .22 was dirty so I got out my stuff and taught him how to clean it!

Since the ice has formed I've picked up an Avid 68mxf, Revo S, and Lews Super Duty for bigger purchase items. Other than that it's been all re-stocking essentials like terminal tackle, plastics, cranks, line, etc... I've dropped about a grand in the past 3 months and hopefully only have another 500 to go until i'm "set".

The ole bait monkey bombarded me with Megabass grenades and Shimano missiles past couple of months, but I think I have the perimeter covered now. I’ve reinforced the concertina and laid out a few more daisy chains and if he gets through that I’ve got some close air on standby.

After I swore to high Heaven in early January that I was done -- suspended my subscriptions to MTB and Tackle Grab -- that I was satisfied with what I had.
On January 28 I made my first ever visit to a BPS and (luckily only) spent $150 in about an hour and half. It could have been a lot more expensive.
Before and after that I bought two new Shimano rods, two baitcasters (BPS and Shimano), a few dozen crankbaits, some spinnerbaits and enough plastics to hike oil prices. This Saturday I may give in to the urge to buy a new spinning reel for my worm and jig rod even though the one I have now is fine...but all this talk of Shimano FJs and CI4s has me dreaming of a slick reel to match the Compre rod I use.
I'm not even promising anymore not to give in. I know I'm like a addict surrounded by a mountain of drugs. It's only a matter of time before the inevitable happens.

Sold my champion 682, a cumara, a coalition rod, a ci4 2500, and a daiwa fuego 1000a, Still have a phenix m1 to sell.
Picked up a sustain 1000, a ci4 1000, a curado 51e, a core 51, two cumulus rods, and two cumara's, lol.
Ive also had numerious TW orders with lots of dropshot goodies, picked up a hawgtech handle for the curado, and got 3 shimano spinning reel covers, and two shimano baitcaster covers. Now i need to pick up 5 rod sleeves and one more cheap baitcaster for frogs....
And i have atleast 100 lures going up for sale in the flea market tonight......

Well I think I'm pretty well set, untill I make my next trip and find there biteing on something I don't have a stock of.....thens it's back to the tackle store.
Went to BPS after christmas and picked up an Extreme 7:1 for my frog rod along with some 65# braid and a few assorted baits.
Set up a cheap fiberglass Diawa baitcaster to fish some crankbaits. Next trip fished square bills for an hour with only one bump, switched to a super spot and hooked up two about 2lbs in 10 minutes. This made it necessary to drive to BPS after work to grab a handfull of super spots at the $1.97 Presidents day sale price.
So now I'm set until after the next trip.

bait monkey owns me. Although i buy baits here and there. My jig and spinnerbait making has gotten out of hand. Seriously out of hand. Havent been able to get on safe ice the past 2 winters, so i sit in my garage and organize all my tackle, make jigs and spinnerbaits, go over my Navionics chips while sitting in the boat and look at lakes i might visit in the future. The spring BPS sale will be brutal though. I need another Rage rod, a Hot Foot, Seaguar Red Label, KVD square bills and tons of other baits that i will pry throw once. I have to join Teal on boat expenses.
Just dropped $764 to have boat checked over and repaired and to be ready for my Lake Gaston tournament next weekend and the upcoming fishing season.
Better to pay $764 to know the boat, motor and trailer are in good condition than to be stranded on the water or on the road's shoulder.
I also am picking up the boat from Propeller Dynamics today where I had stainless steel lifts put onto the Motor Guide 72 pound thrust trolling motor. Cost? $175. A great upgrade to save my back and knees from straining when using the trolling motor.
As for the Bait Monkey, I am heading to BPS today for the first day of their sale. I have $150 in BPS gift cards; a $30 Rewards Program coupon; and another $60 in my Rewards account.

$130 just this morning. New rod and reel plus 8 bags of Baby Brush Hogs (all lures at DSG buy 3 get 1, couldn't pass it up). That's on top of the 140-150 I've already spent the last couple of weeks on 2 spools of Seaguar Senshi, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and anything that piqued my interest in the Wal-mart clearance bins.

Average between $3-500 per month with TW & Cabelas. Never miss a sale, but unfortuately buy when there aren't any sales also. I too am very tite with the Bait Monkey. I know I'm addicted like some of you other guy's, but I don't care anymore. If I think I need it, I get it. Love to Bass fish and shoot, both good things. I've been a good provider and figure I can enjoy life in my old age. Look at it this way, we are all keeping the US economy going! GOD Bless America! (Bait Monkey is also patriotic!)

As of late I've been into fishing for 1 specific species and for that fish I make my own lures, I have been restocking my supplies, not a major expense.
I really don't need a thing as far as rods and reels, with 20+ combos all in great condition, I've got the gamut covered for the moment. When something goes down, I'll be in the market.

Well I had the monkey locked and chained up for most of last year. I spent less than 200 dollars last year on bass gear. Well the monkey chewed his way through the chains. I dropped a hundred and sixteen dollars on crank baits yesterday. They were some Daiwa cranks that were marked down to 3.50 a piece, 50% off sales are great. Then the fishing guy at the store saw how many I was buying and had them mark them down to 2 dollars a piece for me. Im so ashamed of myself.
However these cranks look very promising to me. I will find out in a few hours when we go out on out family fishing trip for the weekend.

Also splurged on a Stradic CI4 that I absolutely didn't need...but it apparently has four electrons for each carbon atom so that means it's nuclear powered and help me to catch more fish...right?

I've been a pretty good boy. Last year I broke my beloved brown LES70MLF, so I plan on using St Croix's service plan to upgrade to the same model in the Legend Xtreme line. Besides this coming purchase, I haven't bought a rod or reel since last fall.

I realized I don't need much in the line of lures the other day when my oldest asked to build his tackle box and I went up stairs to get my tackle to give him some and I have 2 big totes ya know the ones that are like 3'x4'x3' That are busting at the seams and then have bags from gander and DSG piled on top. I think I may be good on my lures lol

Sigh, another 7 crankbaits showed up in the mail yesterday. I had forgotten I had ordered them a few weeks ago.
After those, no more. I will buy no more lures forever.

Just received another BTD order in the mail today which I held back and only spent 70$ on more line, topwaters and soft plastics. I have a TW order that should be here next monday, Powell Max 710mh for 112$. The 710 will be offset with a rod i'm selling, that should get me more than 112$, so i'm not counting it as spending money lol! Now I just have to stock up on jigs and trailers and i'll be golden!
