I love my shimano crucial, I got a carrot stix for xmas but haven't had a chance to use it. I am really interested in the mojo bass rods though.

fishing user avatarDaniel My Brother reply :

You people have expensive tastes. :)

BPS for me.

fishing user avatarMicro reply :

I was an All Star fan (I still am), but Fenwick is all I have bought lately.  The HMG series is light, sensitive and tough.  Gorgeous, too.

I've fished a friend's GLX once and his Avid a couple of times.  Great rods as well, from the little time I've spent with them.   But I couldn't tell a huge difference between them (none with the Avid) and my HMGs.  So I see no reason to move from the HMGs.  Though I may try a Techna AV shortly.

I have 7 All Stars (2 TAS IM10s, and 5 American Classics).  There is very little difference between them, but the American Classics do seem a wee bit heavier.  I like them a lot and they are my heaviest duty rods.  The American Classics are brute strong and some of them have been abused and they just keep on truckin'.

fishing user avatardjmax22 reply :

G Loomis for worm/jig

Powelll/Lamiglas for cranks

fishing user avatarbigbass49 reply :

I have four st croix rods and one kistler. I really like st croix rods and I plan on only fishing with them this year.

fishing user avatar.RM. reply :

I have about fifty favorites, all custom built by me, for me and my style/techniques, all on different blanks Loomis®, StCroix®, Rainshadow®, etc.

fishing user avatarBigBrotherThunda reply :

fishing user avatarFishTank reply :

fishing user avatarCaptain Chaos II reply :

Custom Loomis GLX ...... awesome.

fishing user avatarJKay reply :

1.  St. Croix

2.  Shimano

I'm sure I'd probably like the Loomis rods, but I'm not about to drop that kind of money; especially after I see all these 401K statements coming in now :'(
