Its been a really good spring despite only getting 4 or 5 times. Went out with "fishingdrew" from BR and had a steller day 3 weeks back. We caught 9 bass over 8lbs. Drew caught his 3 or 4 PB's in one day with a big fish @ 10.8. I caught my second DD ever at 11.4. We were only able to get a few big fish pics before our phones died but we did get a few and have a witness, lol. Once drew gets the pics shrunk we should have those lol.
Attached are a few pics from last friday. I had my wisdom teeth out thurs and decided Id rather go fishing and be in pain than sit on the couch in pain. It was worth it, lol. We didnt get into the numbers of big fish this time, but I did catch my third D.D. You gotta love isolated laydowns with deepwater access!
Very nice! I'm pretty jealous of you just for being able to get out this year. My lakes are just thawing out and I'm hoping this weekend there'll be enough open water to cast.
Got a few more pics resized. Heres two including Drew's Monster.
Those Va. bass are awesome. Must be an incredible piece of water. Congrats
nice work!! what part of central va?
All I'll say is depending on where you are in Powhatan you may be very close
WOW!
Great fish, great pics!
Awesome pics and fish!!
some nice hogs for bluebird skies. what were yall catchin em on?
Ahhh, I am fishing every piece of water in Powhatan now! Awesome fish!
That is 100% not in northern Virginia, that is for sure. Even being in southern virginia, i don't think guys that look at these fish truly understand how awesome of an accomplishment it is catching what you guys did. That is simply amazing, well done. Now you have every Virginian scratching their heads thinking, "what lake am i failing to fish?" Absolutely awesome guys.

HAHAHA!! ;D Im getting warm!! there are alot of PRIVATE farm ponds in powhatan that have BIG bass in them! A buddy of mine who also has a " secret pond" has caught over 5 23'' bass in one evening just couple weeks ago!!
i dunno i sure would like to know.
Very nice fish.. Even though the first 3 pics are of the same fish. The cell phone pic is a real nice one, how long is the fish in the 4th pic?
Yeah like I said we got a limited amount of pics on the first day when when we got into the mother load. The pics posted first were from the 2nd trip. Unfortunately we werent able to get but a few pics on the epic day as the one phone we had with us petered out around lunch time. I didnt get a pic of my PB >. We did weigh and measure length and gerth as they got bigger.
Drew might come on and clarify, but I want to say his fish 26''?
Awesome!!
Awesome Job! I can only imagine how great it felt to catch those hawgs.
