Answer: It didn’t for me. I ordered the 9/10 wt reel and received an 8 wt line.

When the drag is tightened it firms up the retrieve. Should it also firm up the spool when letting line out?

Answer: The drag only affects line going out. No change to retrieve tension.

Answer: Should be opposite - less tension on retrieve. Yet, tension outward drag. Mine works great 6wt.

where do you get the spare pools?

Answer: Believe spare spools are not available as I searched, but for the price the reel is nice quality. I use it on a short mountain stick where I use only floating line so additional spare spools for sinking line, etc... is not needed.

How do you change from right to left hand?

Answer: Go to the description of the angler dream. The directions and you will find directions to change left to right or right to left. You can go to any angler dream reel for these directions.

How do you buy spare spools?

Answer: You can’t find them or get them wasn’t true as said in product information

I just received my reel and it I did not have the braid line or the yellow fly line as described. Why?

Answer: Maybe you ordered just the reel like I did. In fly fishing spend money on the rod and match with high quality name brand fly line from RIO, Orvis, Scientific Anglers, or Airflo to get the best performance. There is a difference. The reel itself is a nice quality reel with a good drag for the price.

Answer: Don't know the answer and anyway, I did not expect the line to be included. I use straight monofilament line on this reel.

Answer: when you spool it up on the reel it will be on the end of the line and if not they should replace the line.

Answer: If you ordered the Gunsmoke, it doesn't come with line. Thats why its cheaper.

The reel looks well made and operates smoothly. I like the reel and the line, but it did not come preloaded. I had to cut half the backer line off and 20' of the fly line because the spool of line that came with it would not fit on the reel.

Do not buy. This thing looks nice and feels nice. I noriced it stocking a little so i disassembled it. Not one edge was deburred so they were very sharp inside. Also there were metal chips all through it jamming the reel up. No worksmandhip or pride taken in your work or quality control at all. Im a machinist snd if i made product like that i would be fired.

Ordered this reel because it said it was preloaded with fly line and backing and 9’ leader. Not preloaded and no leader. Would not have order if I knew it was like this. Took 4 weeks to get, Amazon Prime customer??

I ordered the reel on July 24th and showed and still shows September 3rd delivery? It arrived today July 30th. Hummm? Reel looks great but came in an unmarked box with no directions. Not a problem for someone with 20+ reels. I’m impressed with the quality so far! I’m going to put it in extreme conditions for any reel and will report back. Let’s see if it holds up to 50 Salmon in one day tomorrow! Wish it luck...go pro will be one!

It survived 50+ salmon with 40# test. Reel mounts and bearings held up. Drag was my only concern. Squeals very bad unless you keep it wet. Overall. I’m getting 2 more.

No instructions, want/need to convert to left hand retrieve (only negative). Reel is very smooth in right hand retrieve mode. All my other reels are left hand retrieve and I am left handed. I like the reel, drag is a bit fussy. The included 5wt line casts better than I expected. The provided backing and fly line adequately filled the reel.

I like how it looks but the reel keeps falling of the main housing and if I tighten the screws it will not move at all, also the line keeps coming out of the reel from small gap between the wheel and the reel case. Not a sensible angler will buy this, do not recommend at all

Thought i was getting a Fly reel and preloaded combo all in one without me doing it my self for time sake. got an envelope package and only had the line combo but not the fly reel. update 07/22 received the reel separate package again thought i was getting all in one box, nope not the case. after sending back the combo line and requesting a refund. now that i got the reel quality is not there it has sharp edges on the inner part of the line spool need to polished down and if your not careful you can get cut. i this game of sending back items it kinda ruins your plans on going fly fishing with your buddies and wanting to show off your new reel but you end up borrowing a reel for the weekend trip. I would think twice ordering from this seller.
