Smallie Utopia pushing 80Lbs? 2024

Well Tin and LBH you missed out on another unforgeable day of Smallmouth heaven! Stopped counting numbers and weight after 20 plus and overcoming 70lbs Buckmanjr (N.E.F) PM'd me minutes before you guys did. Hopefully this post and the one prior will get you out with me soon He informed me he has never caught a Massachusetts smallie,so what a pleasure it was to turn a 16 year old kid onto a day like today. By no means did I even think it would be possible to duplicate my previous trip here but knew I could put him on his first MA Smallmouth here. Spent an hour or so on the same 50 acre SM pond and Jeff(Buckmanjr) hooks up w/the first fish, but no smallie rather a 3lb LM on a Blk/Blue Bico/Ugly otter combo. With in the next 15 Minutes I've got two SM pushing 4lbs. No Smallies for jeff So I decide to jump ponds and try a larger lake I had never fished before and darn glad we did! Toooooooooo many 3+ and 4's to recall and lost track in the mid Twenties! Can't even even begin to to tell you where and when, but the majority of fish were plucked using the Ozmo with the Black brown Arikie and Hudbug running a close second yet when they refused to hit those I tried dropshotting for the first time and inticed them w/a 1/O hook 8lb line BPs 7' pro finese w/ the 6" Robo worm and/or a Yum chartrues lizard . Absolutely an amazing day! My best outing ever! Rather then bablbe on, Jeff ended up with 8 or 9 Smallies and me..... well just FRIGGIN unbelievable! Here's some pic's of the day. Sorry I've tried the PB thing and still get red X's. It's your turn next guys get it while the goings this good!

Wow.. I never have caught any Smallies in MA before either.. I'd be willing to provide the boat (18' Bass Tracker) if you would show me around..

Where abouts in MA is this place.. (You don't have to tell me where just wondering of a general location.)

Sorry man,Cartopper only. If you want MA SM hit Long Pond in Harwich prior to Memoral day.Fee charged between Memorial day and Labor day.

Thanks for taking me out Paul! Awsome to finaly get some smallies. That pond could easily give out a PB largie to me as well during the spawn, i will deffintly check it out later! Looking for the 8+ largie this year ;D

Didn't know you were here as well? 8Lb LM ? Oooooooooh your looking to take my picture as I land it? ;D Had a ball man and glad you jumped aboard! It's always great to share days like that because they don't come around that often. Watch how spoiled it makes you when you try fishing other ponds now ;D Cherish it and muuuuums the word my friend,let's keep it as pristine as it is now and for years to come.

Yea, you suck,lol. I ended up filling my front seat that day too and smoked em at Lake X . No size and certainly nothing to compare with you guys, but we caught ALOT of fish on beds, a good 25+ in 4 hrs.

I"M next,...everyone else get behind me, I was the closest bidder on this last trip, missing by minutes, so I get the mulligan >

Sounds like you had a great day Russ. This is the best time of the year IMO!!!! Hows next Thursday look for a trip to Smallie Utopia. In all seriousness you will have a knit hat pulled over your head 100 yards from the launch. This is nothing personal and not much to ask for a pristine trip like this

As for the pic's...... I have tried atleast 5 times to get it to work and it keeps coming up red x's even after shutting off my firewall. My intentions are not meant to place added work on your shoulders. My sincere apologies Russ! So I guess there will only have to be one pic of the biggest fish of the day rather then 10 pic's of the most goreous species in the water.

Build a test thread and then call me. I will get you through this and then you'll be good to go. I'm sure there is a simple error somewhere and if it is in the tutorial, this will help me find it as well as help you to know how it's done. Phone number is in your PM box
