Where's all the Ohio guys at ? Where do you fish?
I-O! GO BUCKEYES!
all inland lakes
and erie
Erie, Mogadore, sometimes West Branch.
I'd like to find a good inland lake over Mog and WB, haven't been lucky yet lol
I live on Cinnamon lake and fish it a lot. I no longer have a bass boat but when I did I fished lake Erie, West Branch and Alum Creek. I would take my bass boat out in lake Erie with four footers and people looked at me like I was nuts. That's what a bilge pump is for. It is an over looked largemouth lake. Great largemouth fishing.
I fish portage lakes(long lake is the best)... Also the Tusc. river is awesome if you just want to go out and catch a bunch of fish!
i used to fish Ladue and leesdale does magadore have fish in it? i first started fishing on that lake. WOW
I fish Grand Lake and gravel pits, waitting on ice out gonna try Kayak basin this year

Mogadore has tons of fish in it! I know people who do very well there. For multiple species.
Yeah mogadore can be good, at times lol. It's prob my favorite inland lake around here

Try these:
Milton, Berlin, Clear Fork, Seneca, East Branch, La Due, and Mosquito Lake.

I would put Mosquito at the top of this, but it only has LMB. For both LMB and SMB I would suggest Milton, or Berlin.

I know that there are some big smallies in Berlin.
Awesome guys, thanks for the tips. I generally just fish Lake Erie, but sometimes there isn't enough time in the day and Ive been trying to find a good, close lake to substitute when things are hectic.
Thanks again!

Where on tusc? I have never really ventured down it looking for spots to fish but around me its dirty and fishing is fairly crappy. A bunch of people I know say they go down there and catch pike a lot.
I have started fishing Berlin lake. No luck as of yet.

Portage Lakes. Tough lake but it is a place that you really can hone your skills in on.
You guys should check into the member map.

What were you throwing ? I'm surprised you did that well, isn't there a cold front moving through ?

I was throwing a smaller 2.5 inch livetarget bluegill squarebill. I was surprised my self. I did see a good amount of people on boats that said they did well. I was out between 9 am - 1030 am.
Nice, keep up the good work. I will be up there in 3 weeks, I'm pumped. Do you live in the Youngstown area ?

Any advice for portage lakes? I've never been there and I'm fishing and OBN tournament there Saturday. What do you catch em on there?
Anyone ever tried out these AEP Recreation lakes?? They look good but I've never been there..
Nope I have not fished portage or the Aep at all the last 2 years.
How's the fishing been in NE Ohio? What have you been catching them on ?
Me personally I have been having a lot of luck with square bills.

I just found out about them at the end of last year and haven't gone yet this year. But if your looking to catch big fish and "possibly" set a new record that is the place to do it. They are probably the best place in the state for big bass but I am not sure the DNR counts them for Fish Ohio so they are not on the list.
